On the wedding episode in season 1, Kody says "I feel 12" and he's giggling like a horny teenager. He is 12 and still hasn't grown up. He had 3 wives making life very easy for him. He married the neediest woman alive while promising full time daycare, home cooked meals and never needing to work. Poor house should be right around the corner.

Only it was all lies. Both Kody & his wives lied. Kody is a deadbeat dad except to Robyn's kids. The other 13 have been dropped. He is selfish, immature, cruel, viscous, pathetic etc. He wants only Robyn because she pretends to be loyal & fulfills his carnal needs. If Kody does not get her money to shop, he will get the true Robyn. Robyn has destroyed thru her selfish needs 3 marriages, fine. The worst is she hates Kody's 13 other bio kids. Now Kody calls his biokids "jerks". No Kody is the jerk & worse. He thinks he was the star of a reality show called Sister Wives. Kody & Robyn are infamous. No one likes these two liars, losers.

I did! From season 1 episode 2 I watched because of the hypocrisy and their intent to show viewers that polygamy is great. 14 years later and I’m still not convinced. They keep saying for some people it works out…like 1 out of 1 billion? No thanks.

I'd almost ditto the reasons for watching originally, except I had a rigid father who demanded atheism. So I would have watched a show in the past about a family that subscribed to a high demand, non LDS, Christian faith just as well ... if they had enough interesting characters. That what they sought was illegal in Utah, not in NV, interesting.... I had moved 20 years ago to the city hub just inside Colorado from Utah, and right away met more Mormons in my work than in my previous 45 years on the Front Range of Colorado. I'd shared an interest in people's mental and behavioral workings that came from my mother, and it is still an interesting show to me. More recently I'm honed in on the untruths and spinning of truth Christine and David and their immediate families did or undid about when they connected. I don't doubt it was unlike but I'd not be surprised Christine was in Flagstaff. And he was an influence in why Salt Lake, and how unwavering she was. In her saying no to interacting with the wives ....and kids.... i.e. half her family in a way, other than Janelle and kids, she maybe knew she had another big family via David ahead and she did not need the spare tire, so to speak. The real timeline on it was they bought a home together in April before the proposal we saw was to occur later in April and they were living together with a minor child in Truley. Even I as a heathen atheist in the past married my 2nd husband when his minor child came to live with us. My sibling did same when their new loves child came for the holidays ... 1980s. Truley outing that in ep1 of the wedding, while all the nonsense taking up precious time while preparing for the ceremony for the women, about how long dating was long enough and Christine claiming lying to Mykelty because of her timeline to marry Tony... ... theres clues. Christine was a master at getting away from a mess of a family but she's done it with lies she's covered up and revealed only in part. She's a master, out manipulating them all!

That open SW heart is mimicking the Open Heart pendants that had the endorsement of celebrity Jane Seymour, I think... who allegedly designed other pieces that were sold through a big chain-type brick and mortar jewelry store. I got into reselling jewelry (buy in Grand Junction, CO area, sell ebay) 2 years ago almost, due to my work helping people in their homes. I've never been much a jewelry person and so have learned what's well made and not, etc.

Nikki, they didn't just not know what their fantasy wanted, they weren't a functional group for knowing what they wanted. Look how they struggled around same time with their mission statement. Where did that idea come from? Maybe the people in RnD at the network who saw more $ from them if they could basically do a corporate training camp exercise. It's getting hot in W and SW Colorado.... I'm trying to get my head wrapped around the upcoming 3 months of hell-like heat and figure better ways to cope. Lol

I wouldn't doubt that the Browns could have marketed something to sell to the viewers that would have been successful for them... They brainstormed ideas, and Kody forced Robyn's jewelry business. I think they MIGHT have had better success with another product. But the closet was a disaster from the start.

It is a big money grab. She better watch or she will end up like jen Shaw from real housewives. She tried to sell a biz opportunity and then to find out it had lil to no value and she ended up in prison for scamming older people.

I hope that there was a net gain of women who realized that this kind of misogyny isn't for them. I think this show helped empower women - given that in the end, three of the wives left this unhealthy arrangement. I agree - I'm sure there must be some folks out there who like Kody. But I'll bet there's more women that found themselves emboldened by watching Ch, J, and M - stand up to Kody - each in her own way. (That's my favorite part of the show!)
