The Happy Camper shows why it’s important to pre-burn your hot tent wood stove before you head out on trip - and a few other tips and tricks on wood stoves as well. www.kni-co.com/ www.canadianou...
Just want to thank you for the advice you gave me a few years ago when i asked if the old town disco 169 was a good overall canoe. I've enjoyed it and some times maybe abused it but she's still going strong. And also thx for the amazing content, keep it up. Happy newyear -1 day 😅
Ive seen that Cabot Trail stuff at the liquor store, but I haven't tried it yet. My palate isn't very friendly to creamy alcohol drinks. Which makes me the opposite of my Missus, who can't stand single-malt scotch. I guess we won't be dipping into one another's supplies... Good info on doing an initial burn with a new stove. I'd never have thought about it. Those stoves seem like a good price at COEC; Ive looked at them before, but I couldn't figure what the big diff would have been between the Packer and the Alaskan Jr in the 10x10 Esker Classic 2. When I finally get my hot tent, I'll take a closer look.
Skol Speedoman Ash and your father. May all your memories be good ones! Shout out to Tim and his great business, Canadian Outdoor equipment-- we need to do $150 for free shipping. But CDE works magic shipping into the States quickly! And to you Kevin. Merry New Year.
Hi Kevin, I was thinking of using one of these for car camping in the summer. It might be nice to use under a tarp when it rains. Also it's nice to keep the smoke out of my face when I don't fee like a camp fire. What do you think?
Hey you missed the big 3 couple hot tent trip. Maybe an age thing going on, but i'm sure you could still show those young bucks a thing or two. At least how to hit the hard stuff vs that cardboard box wine.
Ha, we took the hard stuff too 😉 I'm a big fan of aged run and rye. Especially around the fire in the winter! But I won't say no to some of Callan's 'spirit' influence.
@@ExploreTheBackcountry I suspected that wine wouldn't do the trick. Agreed Kevin seems to show case some quality hooch in his videos.Used to be you just guzzled back the old Cdn Club.
@@jamesmilos9909 Look up Boreal Outdoor Innovations before you come to that conclusion. I believe that they are starting to manufacture Titainium portable wood stoves now.
Kevin.. Think that nasty smell might be Sasquatch.. They're moving around from Lake Superior at this time of year.. Best strategy is offer one a stiff drink and get on his good side..
