Elizabeth Taylor was not in the movie. She was there to keep an eye on Richard Burton who was the male star in the movie opposite Ava Gardner and Deborah Kerr.

They didn't actually live in Puerto Vallarta but outside towards Mesmaloya Beach south of Puerto Vallarta. They didn't live there for long nor for extended periods of time. Personally, I'd be more inclined to look for less tourists, lower prices and more for your money.

I really enjoyed Puerto Vallarta, staying with a Canadian friend who has a condo there. I highly recommend the Botanical Garden, a short taxi/bus ride away from the city. It is the most amazing garden I have ever visited! You can even swim there and eat in the awesome restaurant, and if you’re a birder, it’s unparalleled.

Peruto Vallarta is ok to visit although anything longer than two weeks will be a bit longer than I would stay as it isn't what it used to be as tourists have a way of changing things and not all of them are good. Prices have really moved upwards and it does have issues that are not all good. Locals don't live like the tourists do and the real estate market is great for those selling it.

Cheap is a rude way to describe anything, especially someone's place of living. Affordable is also subjective, which people don't seem to acknowledge or understand.

🎉❤thanks for all the info. Looking forward to BEING there soon ! Love beach time ,walking & swimming too. Love Farmers Markets with fresh food. Hope to find a small apartment where i can cook my meals as desired. And easy walk to beach. I am fairly active in my 80th year. Experience some old injury discomfort from time to time. Know Salt waves cure all my joints ,muscles ,spirit , heart & soul. Excited about possibility of a place to rent for $500 / month &:still have $ to eat out too. 🎉❤

.. The cost of living in PV has increased over the past few years. It will be very challenging to find a rental for $500/month (unless it is well outside the main area, and very, very basic). The average rent (on the lower end) is around $900 USD to $1,200 USD.

Another great video! I really liked how you encourage newcomers to buy locale. I do hope that you begin to take into consideration the impact that newcomers will have on the environment, as well as to discuss some of the pollution that is considered " normal" in Mexican coastal towns. (Raw sewage dumped into the ocean and industrial pollution in its rivers)

Sadly that's going on all over the place, not saying that's good but one of these days we'll solve the pollution.

Do the condos and apartments usually include homeowners associations (HOAs) for renters?
@MexicoRelocationGuide
@MexicoRelocationGuide 4 месяца назад
If you are renting they may or may not. Something you can ask before signing a lease is whether the "mantenimiento" is included. That is the HOA fee.

Hi! We actually do have a lot of videos and blog posts about the folklore of Mexico which talks about it being a loud country by the standards of most Americans and Canadians 😀 i don’t feel I need to beat a dead horse mentioning it on every single post. Because people should visit and make those determinations on their own Thanks for watching 😉

How do you rent a place for e.g. 3 months? AirBnB is sooo expensive
@MexicoRelocationGuide
@MexicoRelocationGuide 5 месяцев назад
Find an Airbnb for a few weeks then try to negotiate a better rate off the platform with the landlord directly. Doesn't always work but that's a tactic. Otherwise, being here in person is the best way to find short term reasonable accommodations- by word of mouth
@junglebungalow
@junglebungalow 2 дня назад
Craigslist and Facebook marketplace list many of the monthly rentals. That are not airbnb.

Crime happens in Vallarta like in any city of the world. It's important to practice the same safety measures so that you don't make yourself a target. Such as: locking your doors, keeping your wallet or purse nearby, knowing which neighborhoods to avoid, etc.
