Maybe not illegal in USA laws, but very illegal in NCAA rules. It makes sense why they took it at the time, but they should’ve given it back way sooner when NIL was made official.
Smh she been passed around like a business card…. R. Jay already told y’all that she was a 304 lol she rich now bt she still belongs to tha streets tho 😂😂
Think about it. A poor kid who’s trying to get his family out of the hood, leaves high school and goes to college to focus on that and play football. Who has the time in that situation to do some due diligence about who they are doing business with?back then, it also cost a good bit of money to dig into peoples backgrounds.
Reggie said they never asked his family or interviewed his family. They just accused him of wrongdoing. His parents had their own place and didn’t know this guy. Never received anything from him.
The same stuff the NCAA was saying USC did was exactly what Saban and the SEC were doing. Right after USC was on probation up until NIL started. Saban has done way worse than anything Bush or Carroll were accused of. Shine some light on Saban and his Mercedes dealerships bud.
I remember when Fresno State was beating #1 ranked and undefeated USC until Reggie put on his Superman cape and ran for almost 300 yards that year. He was on another level.
It’s crazy the NCAA payed poor players literally nothing yet penalized them if somebody offered some desperately needed money. Like what struggling family is going to say no to receiving legal money?!
Vince Young should have won stand if say otherwise you are WRONG who won the natty against Reggie Who absolutely carried there team all year and had argubaly the greatest performance In CFB History
We all need to repent and turn to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He Loved us enough to carry a 300 pound Cross and have His hands and feet nailed to it. He loves us all far more than we can imagine. It is through Him and not by our works that we can live and love. God bless.
In the 2000s with Nick Saban had over 200 student athletes caught in cheating scandal including starting football players they never got in trouble or banned or sanctioned because it was the SEC Alabama from the South and they hated on Reggie and SC because it wasn't the SEC or the South because nothing happened to Alabama because NCAA old guard mostly whaaat and if lm so wrong for implying something then why still hold a grudge now
Yea crazy how they did all that but Jonny manziel did wayyyyyyyy worse and he never once was threatened to be stripped of his heismam,, I wonder why… can’t be because of their race there’s no way that played a hand in it
What awful crimes?..... Being poor and accepting help, while a school makes millions off your image, jersey sells, tickets, boosters, etc .. kill the noise
What awful crimes he committed? His family was gifted things after he already was at usc! Technically not Reggie. Plus that had nothing to do with what he did and players been getting paid to go to universities to play on the under
@@anthonyg4052 Well the biggest thing is what im assuming would be NFL regulations about that stuff but not 100%. Im just assuming who didn’t want to be associated with someone.
In all honesty it was illegal what the him and the school did. Now yes I realize that getting paid in college is now legal but it wasn’t when this happened. Some people may be saying “so what it doesn’t change his stats” but in many ways it does. If Reggie wasn’t promised all the things from USC, would he still have gone to USC? Or would he have chose a different school to attend? Would that school run the same offense and have the same caliber of lineman blocking for Reggie ? Chances are probably not. Now I’m not saying it’s right or wrong I’m just stating why it was taken away in the first place. It was not just because he got “gifts” it’s because those “gifts” played a massive part in his career.
He never should've won it in the 1st place as the national championship proved Vince Young was the true best college player that year and should've won the Heisman along with the National Championship
