@Lot He’s used by the boss and manipulated by him, but he definitely is a villain. He believes wholeheartedly in the motives of Diavalo. It’s simply a matter of an individual who could’ve became good, however supports the wrong side because of the one in control.

Risotto out of almost all of them is pretty much the only member of la squares that I could genuinely see teaming and just befriending giorno and crew in the end. Risotto is smart like giorno, Bruno and diavolo, but smart enough to actually recognize the value and assets and getting behind a cause that will actually benefit him in the long term by working together. Like literally all of diavolos problems could’ve been avoided had he been a nice guy who learned to build genuine trust and work with others and be willing to change. Having people work under you because they genuinely like and want to help you trumps ruling over fear anyday. All you’re asking for is for your men to grow so scared they either run away or plot to defeat you and swear their lives to revenge or usually both). Risotto strikes me as a guy who’s goals were a bit more profound than just wanting money and upholding the drug trade. I feel he’s more like mista in the sense that he’s cool with whatever as long as he’s actually cared for and it’s a cause worth fighting for. These are all traits giorno already has, so let’s be real.... Giorno would just make sure to pay and take care of them and ensure his needs are met, so there’d be no need to fight or betray a guy who’s THAT dangerous but also smart and valuable as a strong ally. 😂 Who wins in a fight: Risotto or giorno? Probably risotto, but even then, why would either of them WANT to fight when they’re both pragmatic enough to see that working together produces objectively better results?? Meanwhile melons is just a rapist 💀

I totally thought that Doppio was going to die here and that the gang was going to uncover Diavolo's secret and keep it from Risotto/fight him before leaving. Probably because, at the time, this was my 2 all time favorite characters fighting it out, but I was rooting for Risotto and thought of what would happen if he won.

Yeah, I love how Araki showed us how screwed Diavolo/Doppio were in this situation. Diavolo couldn't simply start the countdown to taking over Doppio's body, because there was too much of a risk of Risotto seeing his true form (and his secret) and then escaping. So Diavolo had to somehow figure out the best time to start the transition. Too soon, and Risotto would get away with his secrets. Too late, and Risotto would kill Doppio easily (or so he thought). It's peak Araki writing, making is wonder, "What the heck can Doppio/Diavolo do to get out of this situation?" I mean ... it's like what the heck can Emporio do to Pucci? Except it's such a shock to us. We thought of Diavolo as utterly powerful, but suddenly we're in a story where he's the one that seems utterly screwed. Only of course, we "know" Diavolo will somehow win. From a story perspective, it doesn't make sense for Giorno and Bruno to have been spending so much effort trying to take on The Boss only for some side character to take him down.

by the first interaction risotto could have ended doppio in literal minutes. metallica is that powerful. the only reason he didnt is because risotto needed information, and by the time had it, it was already too late and he lost.

It wasn't that simple. The problem is that Diavolo would have been in severe danger if Risotto discovered his secrets - not just his true appearance, but the fact that he had a split identity with the much weaker Doppio. Diavolo had to be absolutely sure of killing Risotto before he had a chance to escape, and that was extremely difficult for him! Bear in mind that he THOUGHT he had killed Bruno. But he failed, and it's a reasonable assumption on his part that it was because he didn't understand his opponent's Stand abilities well enough. If Diavolo hadn't been perfect in keeping himself hidden during his attacks on Bruno, he would have already been screwed. So Diavolo's paranoia is absolutely justified. He's especially scared due to his near failure with Bruno - and that was with him carefully preparing a perfect trap beforehand. And without Doppio to potentially mess things up.

You didn't even understand the reason why Diavolo was hiding in the first place. Risotto is a master assassin that even the association couldn't find, plus he had the ability to go invisible. If the boss revealed himself, then Risotto would know that the boss shared the body with Doppio and just escape, then he could assassinate the boss even in his sleep

Honestly Rissoto could’ve standed a chance against King Crimson even if it was Diavolo. For one he has pretty far from Doppio most the fight. Safe to say he was out of King Crimsons range if Polnarreff (who was considerably closer) was. Also had a decent speed advantage so he could keep this up. He can turn also invisible which Diavolo still can’t see even in his time skip. He can heal himself if Diavolo hits him (which Diopio did so fair to say Diavolo could get a hit it in) He’s intelligent so if Diavolo used King Crimson he could probably realize what happened More importantly his alot or attacks are from inside of Diavolos body. Even with time skip how will Diavolo stop that without injuring himself. Combine all of this and rissoto could probably just stay invissible and not do anything for 10 seconds and he could at the very least put up a fight against king crimson and DEFINITELY could’ve escaped if he realized King crimson was stronger

I have to assume that Rohan was asleep during Bohemian Rhapsody, because if he were awake it would have taken him five minutes to figure out what was going on and then about 15 seconds to draw enough ridiculously OP characters to COMPLETELY mess up Japan and then after he realizes that was a monumentally bad idea another .2 seconds to draw his own "Put Back".
