I have a few regular blankets and moving blankets to lay on when I'm working on the ground. A lot more comfortable than not using them.

You will have to be dead center with in 0.0001” of the crankshaft with the magnetic base. Not possible! You will need a base that will fit in the crankshaft where the pilot baring goes. You can go to a machine shop and they can make you something.

My then new 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T,3.91 gears and with the 6-speed Tremec TR-6060 was great never an issue in the 185,000 miles I owned it..(I was in my late 30's then omg I want 15 years back). The 5.7 Hemi was perfect too,never an issue with that car! Water pump once,alternator but that's it! Nothing major and still had power it had when new! I sold it to my nephew and he drove it another 20,000 miles problem free miles before selling it to buy a new suv for his wifey and new baby.. So long story quick..Tremec is a awesome transmission..6 speeds in an old car means you can have a lower rear axle ratio for very quick get up and go..6 speeds for effortless hwy cruising at 90 mph and low rpm..So,no brainer! I had 3.91 in my Challenger! Ran low 13's in the 1/4 the 2 times I took it out and never beat on it(could have run quicker if did)...

4 speed with a Zbar works every time

Instructions come with this kit on how to install the QTime bell housing and perform the run-out measurements. It is not very difficult if one reads the instructions. A good video with no BS is on Modern Driveline home page. to get there I have to be cryptic as one can't put a web site page here. MDL site then - Home, How-To's BELLHOUSINGS, how-to-dial-in-a-t56-bellhousing-with-an-indexing-plate. everything is explained in very good detail.

you want 6th gear to have a 4.00 plus rear end ratio for the strip... and a big overdrive to make it streetable for highway cruising....

I'm just a backyard mechanic but it seems like there's a jig missing I would think the dial indicator shaft has to be dead nuts in the center of that crankshaft to get an accurate reading for the transmission input shaft

I believe that you will need to remove the dial pins that go into the block on each side of the mounting flange. This would allow you to move the bell housing around. In essence what you’re doing is centering the transmission input shaft to the crankshaft. This is what it appears to be what they are trying to get you to do. I am not a 100% certain.

Get a small stool Pete ..it takes the stress position away and man I cant believe your walking on the floor in knee pads with replacement knees ..man you are tough!
