Its NOT maa shaa Allaah! Maa shaa Allaah does NOT protect against the evil eye. Ask Allaah to bless him/her/it by saying Allaahumma baarik, Allaahumma baarik feeh, Allaahumma baarik alayh etc. Ibn Qayyim said in Zaad al-Ma’aad: “Everyone who puts the evil eye on another is envious, but not every envier puts the evil eye on another. The word hasid (envier) is more general in meaning than the word ‘ain (one who puts the evil eye on another), so seeking refuge with Allah from the one who envies includes seeking refuge with Him from the one who puts the evil eye on another. The evil eye is like an arrow which comes from the soul of the one who envies and the one who puts the evil eye on another towards the one who is envied and on whom the evil eye is put; sometimes it hits him and sometimes it misses. If the target is exposed and unprotected, it will affect him, but if the target is cautious and armed, the arrow will have no effect and may even come back on the one who launched it.” Protect yourselves from the evil eye by reciting 3 quls 3 times each after fajr and asr and once each after the other prayers and before bed. You can also recite these if you suspect you or a family member may be afflicted with evil eye or the dua of Jibril: بسم الله أرقيك ,من كلّ شيء يؤذيك ,من شر كلّ نفس أو عين حاسد ,الله يشفيك, بسم الله أرقيك Bismillahi arqeek, min kulli shay’in yu’dheek, min sharri kulli nafsin aw ‘aynin haasid, Allaahu yashfeek, Bismillaahi arqeek. With the Name of Allaah, I recite over you (to cleanse you) from all that troubles you, and from every harmful mischief and from the evil of the eyes of an envier. Allaah will cure you; and with the Name of Allah, I recite over you. [Sahih Muslim]

I had a brutal divorce while in the military that threw my whole life off of course and through a long time I sat pondering what love truely is. And at the end of the day love is submitting entirely to someone. That is when your heart will really shatter, so whenever people talk about the word submitting in a bad way or say they’ll never bow are generally the ones who have an EXTREMELY hard time in relationships and probably life in general. If you can’t learn to submit and white knuckle your entire way through life it will never make you happy! Alhumdulilah praise allah for guiding me to him 🤲 Side note, it may make you happy at the time but trust me time catches up. Eventually you won’t be able to distract yourself anymore.

Generally when we say worship, we mean the act of praying to God. In islam, in addition to the act of praying, any good thing that we do with the view that our Creator will be pleased by the action, ie. seeking the pleasure of Allah, counts as worship. This is why we say Islam is not just a religion, it is a Deen, a way of life; in our daily lives we always have an awareness of Allah. Knowing that the good act we did gave pleasure to Allah, Allah blesses us manifold bringing peace to our heart, mind and soul, ie. happiness in living a full and wholesome life, and bringing happiness to those our lives touch, animals, plants and the environment included.
In most workplaces, we have codes of conduct in place so that the workplace can operate in respect and harmony...Well, the Quran, together with the teachings of our beloved prophet of Islam (saw) is the code of conduct for humanity ... I find this the best way to explain worship and islam to non muslims. Wishing you all peace for Allahs sake :-)

In fact, there's a connection between human beings and Allah and this connection is established through developing personal qualities that Allah encourages us to develop and through good deeds. For example, compassion. Allah is compassionate and he loves when humans are compassionate. He is forgiving and he loves when humans forgive. And so on. That's how we actually can get closer to Allah. That's why Allah revealed his qualities in Qur'an.

I appreciate the fact that so much effort is put into dawah and into reverting ppl back into Islam. I wish the same effort was put into helping ppl who are already Muslims especially women who go through so much especially with childbirth and the pressures of society. Mental health is a major issue especially with women . No one’s who is a sheikh or alim is accessible. Your ibadah is between you and Allah SWT but what’s the use if you are not even accessible to ppl. I am about talking about brother Ali but I have just observed this in general. So someone comes to Islam then what where’s the support system. Your Ilan goes up and down who do you talk to. I wish more effort was put into this aspect as well

Very new age. Belief in the manGod , law of attraction etc. It’s actually quite a sinister belief .. I know because I got sucked in .. energy, reiki , numerology, angel numbers, ascended masters…etc. It seems like a hugely compassionate and all loving humanist philosophy. And it is to an extent. But it slowly develops into a distance from Allah and a underlying belief that we humans are God manifest/divine sparks/ light workers. Can also lead to tarot, witchcraft etc There is no concept of relinquishing our own desires and whims for a creator. Instead it actually encourages self obsession… I can heal , I can see spirits, I can soul travel, lucid dreaming etc… you spend a lot of time developing these “skills” ( which is actually 100 % jinn ) . Shaytaan is a master psychologist with a very long term plan. He lured us in with love and kindness , then “ empowers” us with something miraculous like clairvoyance, healing, lucid dreaming, soul travelling , we use these skills to help others, and all the while shaytaan is moving us further away from the concept that only Allah is all powerful. Humans become mini gods. See she even says “ I use my own guidance , I don’t need a book”. Again shytaan I’m his genius is breeding arrogance without us even realising and in fact the most loveliest people like this lady fall in this trap but would never see it that way. And MashAllah brother you are one of the best!
Oh my God, sister, my mom literally has these spiritual beliefs and she is a born Muslim! She believes in reincarnation and communicating with your higher self etc. She started having these superstitious beliefs not long ago.. but I fear it's slowly getting worse, I swear it's shaytaan's devious steps.. I tried debating with her many a times, but it basically lead to nowhere, now I just hope and I'll try In Shaa Allah to make Dua for her to be guided again.

This new age thing is everywhere and is very powerful because it makes you feel so good. if you have suffered childhood trauma or have low self esteem it can make you feel powerful and very confident. But the long term effect is distance from Allah and worse losing your aakhira. Keep making dua for her. Inshallah your sincere dua will be heard. Don't debate because it wont work. Maybe guide her to watch Sheikh Hamza Yusuf videos . he is very beautiful speaker and he helped me open my eyes. Also there are many islamic (and non islamic) videos on the occult (tim humble , hamza yusuf, and others) . Maybe sit down and watch with her..or put it on and she might be interested. .

New age beliefs are all based on occultism (magic)…astrology, tarot cards, numerology, healing, meditation.. it’s kind of a mix and match. Even fortune telling and witchcraft I also thought gentle music was ok and I used it in my meditation and yoga classes I used to teach . It can really affect your body and mind. The thing is it makes you feel good and relaxed So over time you start to use that for relaxation and stress relief instead of salat or dhikr . You start to feel you are able to control your life and you feel powerful. Slowly you forget Allah. This is the plan of Shsytaan. You can see this because it is everything that Allah swt tells us to stay away from There is a passage in the bible where shaytaan is trying to temp Eve ( Hawa) to eat the fruit . He says that if she eats it she will be like God . So from the beginning human being like to be like God… all knowing and powerful Genesis 3 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God,(F) knowing good and evil.” I pray she comes back to her senses.
