the funny thing is customer think we go throw the trouble of adding some other metal like iron to the silver wich is not possible and that is the reasson why it turns black.
I was wondering if you could give me am estimate of how long it would take a silver ring to turn completely black when underwater? A friend found one we were curious how long it might have been down there!
We have too much sulfur in our well water. It has been this way for a long time. Every time I take a shower, my silver jewelry turns like brass. I have to use Tarnex when I am finished. It is eating up my skin. Does anyone know what we might do to fix this issue? Thanks.
My silver chains suddenly started blackening when I wear them around my neck. How can I prevent this? Do any of the anti-tarnish coatings work? I have some wonderful necklaces that I can't wear 😢
Instead of using 925, try wearing silver jewelry that's at least 950. There are even silver jewels that are pure silver (999), like for example, ring bands. My mother couldn't even use 10k. (41.6% gold) to 14k (58.3%) gold jewelry, she had to use 18k (75% gold).
Nice information sir I have a query regarding silver chain Is it so that wen we perspirate the silver gets black (Taarish) ? Alao a jewellery shop keeper showed a chain he claimed that this chain wont get tar soon as the normal silver chains do? Is it true there are such silver chains which tend to not get black soon or may be take more time to get black?
La Rubia he’s Right, there is some science behind it, don’t know the science of it but even purest form silver also does turns brownish black in colour.
