This was not my first guitar but quickly became my main guitar! It is that guitar that just begs to be picked up and play it anywhere. You come for the size and stay for the sound!
It's my second one and at first it felt weird and I thought I'd made a mistake buying a smaller guitar but it only took a couple of days to adjust and now I LOVE it. I love both my guitars, my first one was one of my dad's and is an electro acoustic but I decided to treat myself to a new guitar recently. I was gonna get a baby Taylor but I'm so glad I got this instead. It's ideal for taking to other people's houses, my Tanglewood standard sized one has a huge, hard, heavy, case and isn't practical for taking out but this came with the bag and strap, fully set up, it said used but it looks brand new to me. Not a mark on it. Absolute beauty of a guitar
I completely agree with you when you were talking about a guitar's action height. I don't have mine extremely high but for the music I play it is necessary to be higher than what most people like. Though for some styles I can imagine a guitar player might have the need for lower action set-up.
I've played both the Martin LXM and the GS Mini at Sam Ash. GS Mini was miles better than the LXM. The sound of the Mini had a similar boomy-ness just like some of the standard Taylor sized guitars.
This is such a great guitar. I have a Koa mini and it is my go to. It works so well for many different styles and sounds. The best thing is that the layered back and sides are not your typical layered material; they use veneer. The thing is veneer is actually thinly cut strips of wood and not resin or wood like materials or filler, it is thinly cut wood strips.
I've just gotten one of these before Christmas. It's my second one and at first it felt weird and I thought I'd made a mistake buying a smaller guitar but it only took a couple of days to adjust and now I LOVE it. I love both my guitars, my first one was one of my dad's, so has sentimal value, and is an electro acoustic but I decided to treat myself to a new guitar recently. I was gonna get a baby Taylor (I wanted the Taylor Swift edition) but I'm so glad I got this instead. It's ideal for taking to other people's houses, my Tanglewood standard sized guitar has a huge, hard, heavy, case and isn't practical for taking out and about but this came with the bag and strap, fully set up, it said used but it looks brand new to me. Not a mark on it. Absolute beauty of a guitar, can't wait for summer to sit by the beach or harbour with it as I live in a seaside town
Mighty goal 👍😄 Here's to you succeeding in your journey. My sister bought me a GS Mini Mahogany to help me with my boredom being disabled and unable to work in the industries I am best suited for. Haven't played for 40 years and fingers are retarded now LOL. Thinking about restringing with nylon to get my fingers used to playing again without the blisters.
@@everysingleguitars I actually bought the GS Mini! It's my main guitar now. It was way louder and more crisp than the Yamaha FG820. Love it. Just need to order a pickup system now😀
Bro, can you compare the gs mini to like all the cheaper lookalikes? That I know of, there’s these: Orangweood (Oliver JR) Harley Benton (GS-travel) Donner (DAE-36M) Kmise (38’ 3/4 guitar)
You sure that's a 2019 model? By 2019, Taylor had already started using wood veneers on their GS mini headstocks. Looks like yours still has the black plastic Lexan headstock overlay.
I can't decide between this and the Seagull S6 for my first acoustic. I've played both in a music store and the Taylor speaks to me more, but I'm worried I'll be missing out by not having a dreadnought guitar. The Taylor is much more comfortable to play, sounds better and my name is Taylor, but the Seagull S6 has an incredible low end sound that the Taylor lacks, and is just generally bigger. What would you recommend?
Try out the big baby Taylor. It’s like a mix of the gs mini and a standard sized acoustic. For a first acoustic I would personally get a standard sized. The gs mini is more of a backup or 2nd guitar IMO... but play each and buy the guitar you feel is right 4 u
@@everysingleguitars I'll see if it's in stock where I live. Thats what I was thinking, but it just feels too big! I'm also going to be taking it to school, so it would probably be beneficial to get the GS Mini or another smaller sized guitar.
@@thtjt Happy for you that you like it. I consider to buy it as well. At the moment I have a Fender CD-140 but it's quite big and not the easiest guitar to play. Taylor GS mini will probably be much more comfortable.
