I became a Crawford fan when I saw he fight Prescott, who was 26-4 at the time and was a huge puncher. Crawford was an unproven 135 moved to 140 for the fight on a lees than week notice. Crawford wasn’t super fast or super explosive, but he was already crafty, skilled and mean. He beat the hell out of Prescott not just slick boxing, but throwing with and between Prescott’s punches. This was on a HBO telecast on an undercard of (who I don’t remember) but he impressed me then. He is the most hated disrespected I have ever seen. The bar is set so high for him, he can’t even lose a round without being ridicule. How they attack him is shameful. He doesn’t go around trashing other fighters. He doesn’t cause problems outside ring. He’s always in the gym and in shape.

Madrimov wasn’t close to winning all he had was a right and faints you can’t win a fight off faints, fight wasn’t close and the commentary was definitely bias for madrimov

But honestly in his fight vs Madrimov, Bud didn't have that tenacity n ferocity n killing instinct that he showed in his fight vs Error Spent n the 9 previous fights leading to it. Where are those tenacity n ferocity n killing instinct ? Too long absence or fear to lose which could endanger the mega fight vs Canelo? Where ?
Bud is exceptional at 147 but he needs to stay at that weight. He was seriously lacking the power needed when he fought Madrimov at 154. No way he competes with Canelo at 168.

I think Crawford's got a solid resume. He's 11-0 against former world champions like Ricky Burns, Gamboa, Postol and a bunch of other champions. I do agree that Andrade ain't really got much of a resume but Crawford's resume ain't as bad as your making it seem. What would you think of Crawford if he managed to clear out 154 or beat Canelo?

Child abuse? If it was child abuse, I think Bud would say it was. I call it tough love and it made Bud who he is. I was raised in a similar way and I will never accuse my mother or father of child abuse. Seems to me that Bud always loved his mother and isn't regretting how she raised him. She did something right, because Bud is a whole lot more mature than most of the people I know who didn't get tough love like Bud did.

Thats all fine and dandy but here are the facts. Crawford has never been in a fight where he didn't have the advantage in reach, power, athleticism and speed except for maybe gamboa. Crawford has never been an underdog or even been in a 50/50 fight. Burns was coming off of jaw surgery, brooks had already had both eye sockets broken, Khan had already been knocked out several times and Spence had a car accident that left him clearly overmatched. Crawford is fighting way below his natural weight class as a matter of fact I guarantee you him and canelo walk around at the same weight
