The 911 Targa is often seen as the oddball in Porsche’s range. It’s not as airy as the 911 Cabriolet, nor does it have the stiffness of the of the coupe version. What it does have, though, is plenty of style and character, and that certainly hasn’t changed with the new 992-generation model.
Sleek looks and a healthy power boost make the new Targa an ideal choice for those looking for a 911 that stands out from the crowd. It’ll be rare as well, with most buyers opting for the coupe or Cabriolet variants of the iconic sports car.
It’s practically unrivalled, too, although the Corvette C8 is technically a targa as the centre of the roof can be removed. However, in terms of price, the range-topping Heritage Design Edition of the 911 Targa is closer in price to a 991.2-gen GT3 RS than the Chevrolet.
