I think the issue with the “America Dream” now is the heightened level of sacrifices you have to make to achieve that… we have to consider context, when the idea was first produced it didn’t require you to work 60 hours a week, two jobs or a successful business owner.. you use to be able to achieve this by working a steady factory job with no degree and on a single income while the wife stays home to raise the kids.. that’s just not possible now and I think that is what people mean about the dream being dead because it requires so many more unrealistic sacrifices for the average American.. it’s not just that someone can hustle and become rich
bingo. can you still build wealth in america? yeah but you’re working 60+ hrs, not seeing your family, saving everything you earn. it’s just at priorities more than ever. finding that middle ground is rare
@@Davo2times building wealth is not hard its just as easy as investing a $1 on the stock market through cash app or buying cheap art work that will appreciate in value , or collecting old comic books , u can even invest in index funds which is cheap for anyone to invest in and another is u got have a different out look on , life changing money is based on perception
If it wasn’t for my kid I would of left a long time ago, they say history repeats itself and if you look at history a country continues to become corrupt until it destroys itself or an outside source destroys it.

People are lazy. They think stuff just comes to you. ANYONE AND EVERYONE can be successful and happy if they want to be. Most people get in debit because of greed.
@@juliusdv6657 folks in america definitely need to here this because they think everything will be solved without sacrifice. Oh take a random vacation to Hawaii nevermind paying off debt and saving for emergencies they say. Or go to some random other vacation place that you don't care for and derail your investing plan they say.
college is not and never was a 'trade school' (except for science, enginering or medical or law school ), and was for teaching the liberal arts, to be able to think and reason, compare and contrast, to build up a knowledge data base of history and philosophy to have context to put new facts and theories in, and so you can recognize the same old tired ideas when they are recycled in our generation and presented in new and flashy clothing, as if never thought of before!
@@jdilla4591 it is nice to have an experienced professor to challenge the logic and scope of your growing knowledge, thought processes and conclusions as you are learning, but yes, I agree you can (and must!), do so much on your own and I love doing just that!
That is what colleges used to be. The new model is to get a degree to start a career. Read books and take digital courses from people with real world experience, not a professor.
The American Dream is very much alive. However, to achieve it, REQUIRES sacrifices, very early on, a great deal of discipline, being very intentional about how we spend money, 💰 🤑 making good choices and refusing to be, greatly, influenced by those "influencers" who will be broke within 15 years due to being far too careless with their money 🤑 💰 and making very bad choices, e.g., choosing to produce children out-of-wedlock (which is the fastest road to poverty) and having no real plans to excel and strive towards excellence. Unfortunately, for far too many who haven't been raised, correctly, weren't reared to save, invest their money and practice some frugality but rather were reared to believe they should have what they want simply because they're breathing, they'll continue to suffer, complain and waddle in the mud, barely making ends meet due to their own s-t-u-p-i-d choices. My God, 👑 America is where janitors can retire as millionaires and have done so but they didn't live beyond their means (what they could afford) and they understood everything we want isn't what we need.
