@@M..796Man, you are going to hate me… in the 4 bosses of The Old Hunter DLC… Orphan was by FAR the easiest for me. I finished/played the DLC once and I let Orphan kill me the first time because I noticed that I forgot to switch my blood gems. Came back immediately after and sent him to his mother.
😊Better than spending 70$ and 300 hours dying from sweat Lords in a online match. No thanks to SBMM😂 With no constant And more microtransactions that can buy of a small country 😂😂😂
This dude is OP. Love your content! He could convince me my boom bean is bigger then my boom boulder. You made some fantasic and funny points in your gaming arguments.
I love how that’s the entire premise of ToTK. It started as a dlc then they realized “wait this is getting way too big” then it became its own entire game.
@swag6190 he said about the same size if not bigger than Limgrave. And since Fromsoft likes to undersell there stuff. It's probably gonna be bigger than Limgrave
@@brandonpick1486 Also important to mention that the content on the new map is going to be much denser than it is in limgrave. 10 new (i would assume) unique bosses and multiple legacy Dungeons means there will be a lot less “empty” space in the dlc.
About 120 hours my first time and that wasn't even everything. After like 2 ng+ to see other endings like 170 hours. A fresh play through from scratch where I actually knew what I was doing and did complete everything took about 60 hours.
From software is still one of those AAA dev who put love and passion to their games. Btw a dlc that long is basically a "second game". Rather than a dlc.
@@ReigoVassalwell they did say it was an expansion and looking at other expansions like MHW: Iceborne and Cyberpunk expansion they were near the base game play hours
Yeah as a f2p I dropped Destiny 2 after a week, it gets boring real fast to do the same missions and not be able to play any story missions because they are behind a pay wall
D2 the biggest scam in history xD 30% of it I'd content from Festiny 1 70% of it is DLC you pay full price for despite not having the content equivalent of a full game EVEN over seasons which you... also have to pay for, aswell as dungeons. 0% of the original game is in there & not returning despite people having paid for it xD
as a long time destiny player, the game has really fell off. i bought every expansion and i still only see myself playing once a year for like a month or two
@@RealSash1997 its not a strawman lmao, people are complaining about the $40 price tag, and wether you like it or not, MW3 made its money back. So you do that math
@spacedout4061 yes, lol. As a company for Fromsoft, they generally deliver. Other games I go case by case, but for most, I'll usually just wait for a sale.
@@JB-tx5fm i cant rlly understand waiting for a sale when most games i buy are ones im actually excited for. Do you just not get excited for games anymore unless they are a soulslike lol
@@lemonzest8650 both, I don't think the DLC will only have 30 hours of gameplay, but more and I also think he's just under selling it to subvert expectations
Historically the test to see if parts of the game get through or not is if Miyazaki can actually beat it. He is actually notorious in the office for being bad at video games, so if he can beat it, the average player can.
Took me 75-80ish hours to just beat the first run of the main game. Yes a chunk of that is because I'm bad, but I also like exploring and doing as much side content as i can. Overall, elden ring's base game alone already put me over 1 hour per dollar spent for the main gake AND dlc combined. Well worth.
Here's the thing though, Miyazaki always sells the length short. He said Elden Ring was gonna be 30 something hours, and my playthrough came in at well over 200. I fully expect a proper playthrough of SOTE to come in at around 50-60, and that's being conservative. Remember, previous docs for Souls-Likes released within a year and always set a new bar, but this one has been cooking for twice as long.
Dlc just means downloadable content. Borderlands has been putting half the game in the dlcs for a while now. And cyberpunk, skyrim, and the witcher have had insanely large dlcs
@@EuphoricPeanutthe thing that sucks is occasionally their art and animation teams still puts the passion in but it’s like wasted on the boring formulaic predatorily monetized slop they pump out now
All of that is part of the experience, I'm not gonna play cuz I'm more of the FPS side (Helldivers 2 is hella good), but fromsoftware games are a clear behemoth on their own. Bloodbourne, DS3 and now Elden ring will truly live to be part of the greatest games
@@robbieschirmer8966 Mostly Dialogue time, the time it takes to beat a boss with 'perfect run', and the travel time between places. There are morebut personally I do think its not really accurate and shouldn't be the main reason you play a game. It does however put a 'responsibility' on studio to prove that the gameplay would at least pass the assumed hours so people can say that it was worth it. TLDR marketing strategy.
i think alot of devs really want to bring back the term and concept of expansion pack but marketing and execs would tell them that people would get confused and DLC is just a good general term for them
Expansion pack is the old term for downloadable content so yeah, truly a late 90's gamer indeed. Pretty sure even in the early 2000's as well they still call it expansion pack I guess, until the 2010 AAA games era where DLC began to become a common term.
@tylerwieman6783 Brother. During the second phase, head glitch his abilities by playing ring around the Rosie of the pertruding rock in the middle of the field. Hope this helps
I dont need it. Not only because i dont have or dont have the money needed. Its just. Once when j am done with the main content. I lose interest. Its different for MMO game. The game is already finnished, i do t have to pay for dlc ( new content ) and The fact that you can trade in MMO makes paying real money for items unnecessary
"Elden Ring takes 50 hours to beat" Yeah like hell it does, I'm sitting here like 100 hours later Edit: I just mean this as a comment, not a correction. I know he said focusing only on main bosses but the average player doesn't do that so the playtime will probably be higher.
@@bamb0049it also depends on how you play, are you rushing from boss to boss, or do you like stop to appreciate the view and details they added to this massive world? do you brute force the puzzles or look up for solutions on the internet? maybe read the lore on every single object there is?
Ah Paradox, the company that makes so many DLCs that they're now offering subscriptions for some of their games to be able to play the DLCs without spending a couple hundred bucks
@@The73MPL4R and the fact that these dlc's change the game by 80%, like playing Crusader Kings 2 without and with dlc's are basically 2 entirely different games
@That1guyTony After it came out most places just sold the bundle of base game and Sunbreak, same thing happened with Iceborne. I've seen people think Iceborne is just part of the base game
I'd advise spending less of your time running around on elden ring and more time worrying about what's going on in the world. Did you know a top security clearance Air force soldier set himself on fire, before this he states "I will not be complicit in genocide" As well as stating something along the lines of "I'm about to engage In an extreme act of protest, but compared to what palestinians are going through, it's not extreme at all" he's lit himself on Fire and yelled free palestine until the flames choked him and made him unable to speak. You ever see someone burn alive? Imagine your brothers and sisters, or your child. Yourself.
@@GunnerWolfe-ks9dsThough the war in Palestine is important, we come here to escape from the dolor of current events The world can be good, and going down rabbitholes on current events is an essential part of being an informed citizen, but you need to remember to get out of Wonderland every once and a while
Well the points about mw3 would be irrelevant but a lot of the info about the dlc would be correct. 30 hours of gameplay goes hard and would in fact be worth your 40 bucks
Same with the Torna dlc for Xenoblade Chronicles 2. $40, but you get an all new story with new locations, characters and even gameplay. Then for the base game, new quests, new unlockable blades (Characters that double as weapons), along with a wealth of other goodies. They could have charged full price as a standalone game and I'd have gladly spent that.
yes, exactly, i saw this on reddit all the time, people boasting about finishing the game in 12-20 hours right after the game was released. when in reality it often realistically took 50+ hours, even 100+ hours, because people played the game while exploring and appreciating the world, try different crafting mechanics, etc while those 12+ Hours people, they play the game as if they're being chased by the Cops or Ghost or something. i'm sure they're skipping dialogues and running all the time in the game they wear that as a pride and had to boast around. like, they're not good enough to be a speedrunner
@@jensenraylight8011even when I decided to look up guides on where to find certain characters for quests, I clocked in around 70+ hours in that game before I finally finished it. Game is crazy honestly, no way anyone could have fun and finish it in 12 to 20 hours
I have 2000 hours only with one character. I have never played as a mage, faith or bleed build. This Game is so huge that it's possible that the DLC could make it to 3000 hours for me. 40$ are a joke. But I'm going to get the Collectors Edition at DLC realese so what I'm talking about Money. I sold my soul to Miyazaki. He saved my life. No COD, no AC, no Hogwarts and no fucking FIFA or whatever can do something like that. Fromsoft is so far beyond everything on the market.
Only that God is no longer a single player game? Like what's the point of mentioning it. It's costs 60€ for the Multiplayer and you get the Campaign for free on top. Like stfu Fromsoft ist the biggest L Company of all time reselling the same game over and over again just like Activision. Buuuuuuut atleast Cod doesn't hide it.
Whats wrong with Fromsoft all their games are new every time they release with a completely new world and new set of characters and in alot of cases completely new gameplay, how are games like elden ring and sekiro so much alike that they can be compared to activison games which have a bad story besides for the old games and nigh on the exact same multiplayer, fromsoft makes some of the best games that I have ever played @herrfrau4162
@@herrfrau4162 Only in terms of gameplay at most. They've been evolving in world design at the least. Dark Souls was Metroidvania, while Elden Ring is Open World. Even with the Soulslike gameplay, those are fundamentally different experiences. Same for Pokemon. Scarlet/Violet feels completely different to Emerald in terms of the world and exploration. Still more than CoD has done. So nah, still a W for FromSoft. Plus, FromSoft doesn't have microtransactions. Also, as an aside, why would they not continue to make Soulslikes? They invented the genre and repeated the success many times over, with multiple revisions and QoL improvements over the years. They only went back to Armored Core after more games started filling their niche. It'd be stupid not to capitalize on the monopoly of a popular genre. Plus, comparing Demon Souls, Sekiro, and Elden Ring is disingenuous to their gameplay systems, as they do have many fundamental differences (especially in terms of healing or Posture). They just share a high difficulty and a diverse array of boss fights.
$40 is still ridiculous, and hours played =/= quality, Elden Ring is way longer than Bloodborne and still fails to provide an experience that rivals it in quality.
@@gishgoyim9170Are you saying Bloodborne was a better experience than the Elden ring? That game that never was released on a FUCKING PC and was locked at 30 fps?! If that is what u mean, I guess you never really played Elden ring. And if you don't wanna pay 40 dollars for it.. then just wait for the sale. Either way, it's fucking worth.
Dude this DLC is fucking massive, it has 10 Remembrance bosses, tons of new weapons and weapon types, 6 new areas and 39 new talismans. It was absolutely worth the 40€ I paid for this. Best gaming experience I had in 2 years.
I only bought the mass effect one and the dlc buy I don't buy dlcs for games I rarely play I do like the game but I haven't beat it yet and don't buy dlcs for games like elden ring
That 50 hours is for speed runners. The monsters are bullet sponges and the only way to kill bosses is hit then thousands upon thousands to millions to billions of times while performing the exact same roll dodge to actually be able to not die in 1 hit. Also the roll dodge is only usable if you buy the $50 DLC. Yup you heard that right you have to spend $50 for a tutorial level single button action. in reality in order to actually play the game you have to pay about $500 for a game that is only worth $30.
