Those speakers look fantastic . Good call on the shipping and packaging consideration , much easier to hide ! Also , the lack of wooden crates would delay my Viking funeral by a day or two !
Paul and his team have done an exceptional job with the FR30 it seems. One reputable online review said they are easily the best sounding speakers under $30k. 'A bargain'
Another reason - Chris said (in the lunch with Paul video) that the lower woofer box needs to be extremely rigid and tweeter box needs to flex to effectively manage resonances. This separation / design helps achieve that.
What are the cabinets made from ... and does the LF section contain internal matrix bracing similar to that used in the B&W 802 Diamonds ? I love the cinematograph part you should do it more 😃😃
Ps audio has effectively built a modular cabinet so now the hf could be changed as required. If the whole cabinet is put into sections as well then the sky's the limit. You could swap drivers and internal x-overs without actually rebuilding or re-designing the whole assembly. Paul-you can have my idea if you wish. Let's hope the amps become modular sometime as well. Again suggested by me by email Ain't I smart😄😄 Not really!
I thought that you always have your son with you help you with the camara… but now I know “you make all the things… thanks for share the videos and all the things you talk about the sound … hey what do you think a out the company vintage VICTROLA?? The one h who has one dog curious see a horn speakers? Is good or not
Such a simple reason Paul! Was waiting for a convoluted explanation into the sonic benefits of having the drivers and tweeters in seperate boxes for better sound quality, bit disappointed now lol
I am still dreaming about the FR10 bookshelf size PS Audio speaker that can serve me on my desk or stands with magnificent ribbon performance and supported by some some matched subwoofer that I can place in the optimal acoustical position making the system sound awesome down to the lowest notes without the huge placement restrictions of the FR30.
sir,i just bought Adcom GFP-750 Preamplifier and wanting to buy ADCOM GFA-555 II..how does it hook up? in owners manual it doest show detailed diagram how to make connections to a power amp
Hey Paul can you please address why you felt you had to make the FR30’s in China…? 😎 Since you guys make / assembled everything else but the Sprout there in Boulder, CO USA.
Is it not a ideal audiophile idea also because having all the drivers totally isolated from one another all adds up to better sound quality. ye paul missed out on that pitch.
It’s not just easy for the buyer it’s cheaper for the seller which is the real reason as long as my speakers are shipped on a pallet I don’t care either way, other companies with more expensive systems care about getting it to you 100 % protected through the delivery process.🤷♂️
Nobody and I wouldn't like them even when I get paid for it - stupid crap with chassis on the backside where anybody with a brain wants absorption and not reflection
It's so you can put the tops on the dashboard and the rest in the trunk. And if Paul thinks that moving the camera is "Cinematic horror" then he's clearly never seen a single movie. I wish he'd stop with all these unnecessary stupid antics.
Oh, you are the clown which explained last night that DACs make no difference and computers on board soundchips are enough - and than the you even don't understand how speakers are working and think you can put drivers randomly where it looks nice
Most of Wilson Audio products have discrete chambers / modules for sonic qualities. While there are packaging implications for everything that needs to be shipped, in this case it’s very odd to point out that it was the primary reason. Love Paul however this one was a bit cringe.
@@Tobester_McDonkeySilly statements. Stick to the subject I brought up. You are on a tangent. So are you that guy that is ok with dropping 30k and getting 28hz -6db bass? If so, guess you enjoy getting taken for a ride. Congrats Tobey!! You get the PS Audio fanboy of the month award.
@@scottyo64 I sell exercise equipment for a living. Just calling a spade a spade. As I always do, and people can't take it. The PS Audio fanboys are OFFENDED.
@@Tobester_McDonkey thank you for showing your cards. You just dug yourself even bigger hole. So you question me on not hearing the speaker and now you admit that you've never heard it but yet you're going off of reviews? That's comical. It's not just 28hz. Its 28hz -6db. Do you even know what this means? I'll let you learn something, go look it up online. You don't even know what you're talking about. If someone is paying $30,000, essentially the price of a car for a pair of speakers the specifications better impress. Paul's Chinese made 30k speakers don't. Legacy Audio makes the Focus XD for half the price of Paul's speaker and measures -2db to 18hz! Now that's impressive engineering.
