I have been using the flip 5 for 8 months now. It is a very fun smartphone. The camera is just terrible, worse than on my old 11 pro max. Battery in lite performance mode was enough for 5, 5.5 hours on 4g network. Flip 6 is a good step forward in cameras and battery, also the creases on the screen are almost unnoticeable now.
I love thr flip 6 I find it a massive upgrade over the 5

I can't understand people like you complaining about $100 price increase. That's nothing for what you get. More ram, better cameras, dust protection, better hinge, better brightness, faster cpu, bigger battery, improved line arcross the phone where it folds, 7 years of support etc, etc, I suppose Samsung is supposed to just eat that cost for those better features... Most people like the new snap sound the phone makes when it closes. That was done on purpose.
Although I agree with the review, I hope this is also the sentiment with regards to newer iPhone models that don't really have much improvements and clearly introduce Android smartphone features that were already outdated.
Might be a hot take but I don't like the flips much, no denying in the fact that it has great hardware & that flexible display but there's not much "extra" for the price or even for the form, apart from the cover screen other phones can do what it does, the fold is a way better feature set & also that being more functional, ofcourse it's lot more expensive but it gives a bigger screen that ofcourse our usual phones don't have, so yes fold > flip
Also reviewers are missing the fact that one UI7 is a major upgrade and is going to be a major overhaul for the OS. Rumor has it also a major overhaul for the flip and fold series
@@sstrider_11 the rumor is how the animations will be updated and ease of use. I would welcome that because regardless on how much you may hate apples ios it is still the cleanest is with only vanilla Google rivaling that.
I had the moto razr+ 2024, for a couple weeks. The folding is fun for a bit, and it fits alot better in my pocket… but opening and closing the phone over and over again gets old fast. If you are a power user like me flip folding phones ain’t it.
I never buy into this flip phone trend, just simply your average chocolate bar phone with the ability to flip it and worse battery capacity. I'm Samsung user and I completely understand why Apple hasn't jumped into this trend yet because it feels gimmicky imo
