Q3 or any weather sealed camera is nice when it rains or if you're in a dusty / sandy place. I loved the Ricoh GR III & Q3 photos you took. Liked & subbed - might get a Q if a Q4 comes out, but still not sure.
Yes, I'd love a future video on your experience of photography as a therapeutic experience. I've been just thinking about this topic myself. As a therapist, I'm frankly wondering about ways photography can slow a person down, encourage in them the disciplines of observing, staying in the moment, noticing the details of light and composition changing all around them, etc. My own thoughts about this are still mostly unformed, but it sounds like you might have a lot to say yourself!
Thank you for your comment! It is really interesting hearing about that toy from a therapeutic. I hope you will find my future video on that topic informative :-)
Hi Gefen, nice video again. You live in a nice place - Tel Aviv? Did you shoot your photos in RAW or did you use one of the Leica Looks? Best from Germany, Michael
@@safesurfer1965 Hi Michael :-) If I'm not shooting a portrait for a client I only use the JPAG from the camera (all of the photos in the video are JPAG) and I edit them on Lightroom. And yes it is from Tel-Aviv where I live. Thank you so much for your comment!
Lovely shots of TLV! 🌅Im doing mostly video work for tv network productions but are thinking of starting a photography hobby with a portable camera I can take everywhere that is NOT my phone or my video-gear. Started looking into older Leica Systems lie the TL or TL2, but are tempted to take a look at newer models now after seeing your fantastic photos. Greetings from Germany!
Thank you so much! What you said means a lot to me. My day job is also video work for a news channel, and I get so much fun and satisfaction from my time with the Leica :)
@@eortizfoto I don't need it but I found it fun and good for my style sometimes :) And in some scenes I can't get close and it helps getting the shot I want. Thank you for your comment here!
Hi, I agree to your thoughts. As it seems, to save battery power, you should set the CONNECTIVITY MODES always to OFF‼️, except when transferring photos via Bluetooth to the Leica Photos App. (This is a power saving option!) After transferring, set it back to OFF! I got the Leica thumbs grip on my Q3, which works perfectly. Greetings
@@jayj8524 I will try turning this option off thank you for that tip! And I also got the thumb grip it is super comfortable you are right! Thank you so much for your comment here :-)
Great video!! I also splurged on a Q3 and I've noticed a lot noise with high ISOs so I set my max ISO to 800 and adjust exposure in post if it gets too dark.
@@jurrevandermeer4857 Thank you!! Even if I limit the iso to let's say 800 like you said, I can take my photos at 1/30sec with the Q3 and still get a sharp image which is great :) Thank you for your comment!
Great video! Yes, photography can be therapeutic indeed, I feel it myself. There is something special about that moment when you look through the viewfinder and press the shutter button. And you start noticing more of the shapes, colors, and contrasts around you. You start to appreciate the surroundings and develop an empathy for the world. Same as in meditation: you observe and accept, no judgement. I can’t wait to watch your video on this topic!
@@--AnonymousUser-- Thank you so much for that comment! It really means a lot to me. And I can relate to every word you said.. will upload this video soon :-)
Hello again, Gefen. As always, stunning imagery. Photography, like any art form, is wonderful for contemplation - a useful tool to express what might not be so easily conveyed face-to-face. Now, you'll have to pardon my ignorance - where precisely were these photographs captured ? I'm trying to recognise landmarks (my usual method in surmising a country's locale) but I'm failing miserably 😁. Of course, your website is written in Hebrew - but one must not necessarily rely upon a language to determine such; wherever it is, it is beautiful, but then I am something of a romantic, & seascapes I have a particular fondness for. If you ever have the opportunity to visit the Republic Of Ireland, the West coast (where my family are from) is most elegaic (& no, I don't mean in the sense as a lament for the deceased), but rather more a reflection of what has been, what is current, & (perhaps) a portent to what we may expect for the future of humankind. I have a small suggestion for an upcoming presentation: Comparing & composing an image thru' a Rangefinder vis-a-vis a more conventional Thru' The Lens optical viewfinder - differing parameters - that sort of thing....I'd definitely be interested, Slán Go Fóill ! Aindriu 🙂
@@andrewtongue7084 Hello Aindriu! Thank you so much for your support here and kind comments.. My website is in Hebrew for now bur I'm still working on this so you will be able to switch languages. The photos are taken in Tel-Aviv Israel, where I am from (: I'll be happy to visit Ireland sometime I heard it is beautiful there! And maybe you can visit here sometime:) (now unfortunately we have a war here but at better times maybe..) Again I'm really happy to hear from you! Have a beautiful rest of the week
