Another hidden benefit that may seem small, but as a power armor wearer, not having to disrobe to cook is a nice benefit of the steamer. It's like a drive-thru.
Can the Pemmican collector be placed by other players at your camp? I just started playing at the very end of last season so I missed out on it, but I always grab them when I see em at other peoples camps 😂😂
@@moriquendi32actually in the earlier days you could let teammates and friends edit your camp I had a guy place lights for me I didn’t bother getting plans for and I still don’t have the plans for as long as you only store it and not break it it can essentially stay forever idk if you still can but ya it’s worth a try
@@A1readyDeadtechnically yes I’d try adding someone on your friends or make them a teammate and I think it’s in the settings that you can let someone else work on your camp when there
I love the Pemmican Collector as a carnivore and with the new END perks, it just got a whole lot better. As if the food wasn't already god tier with it weighing next to nothing, giving the same END as a scorchbeast heart and never expiring either.

Oh hell yes! This was the last thing I wanted to get before switching to Carnivore! Edit: I'm almost convinced that this was a mistake on Beth's part somehow. It's not listed in the atomic shop update article _at all_ , let alone in the "permanently added to atomic shop" section. Grab it while you can before they remove it, I guess!
One thing a lot don't mention, Mirelurke have high vendor selling price around 7+ caps each with max chr build. Isn't game changing but still free caps daily, which will build up over time.
I wish ingame doctors could cure specific mutations for some (even if high) price, in Fo4 medics and doctors could cure and heal you, but in Fo76 they are just themed vendors as far I noticed
I’ve been loving the mirelurk steamer since I bought it earlier this spring. The carry weight is a game changer!! If you’re a carnivore or omnivore, I definitely recommend having it at your camp for free meals.
As a carnivore, what I usually went for, before the steamer was introduced, was I would buy a Gulper Stuffed Foot (+5 Str; 1 hr) and Yao Guai Pastry (+60 lbs; 1 hr) from that vendor next to the spawn point in Nuka Cola World Tour and then server hop to stock up. 3 pastries also spawn once inside the trailer the vendor is in, and 1 foot spawns once up the way near the entrance to the park in a booth, unless someone else already looted them.
Took you long enough. Saw that comment the other day and immediately jumped on to purchase. They regularly add random things into CAMP that aren't shown in the featured section. Maybe once every 3-4 weeks. Always worth looking at the CAMP section separately
I remember when I first got it and like a month later realized that the meat it produces is so useful. Love having an infinite source of bonus ap and carry weight without having to farm Yao Guai.
If you took the food you don't want, the steamer will eventually create and Left the food you really want. In my case, I got 10 smoked Mirelurk filets for the extra carry weight. 😁
That's my plan. That way I dont have to use my freezer all the time. I'm trying to do the same thing with the thrasher rack, tocget squirrel bits but its loot pool is high.
Being an herbivore, I don't need this stuff....which is why when I buy it (which I most certainly will) I will leave it unlocked at my camp. Just like my pemmican collector, my field dressing station, my weenie wagon...meat eating visitors, enjoy :)
As soon as I saw the steamer was available, I grabbed it. Been stockpiling smoked Mirelurk in the cryo freezer since it doesn't pop up consistently. For those always over encumbered, it's probably the best buff for most carry weight +30 lb (+60 lb carnivore) for the longest duration (1.5 hours). You can stack it with Deathclaw steak for +2 STR (+4 STR carnivore) to really increase carry weight without too much effort.
Leave HERB or CARN until last, I'm pretty sure that it goes FILO (first in, last out). So putting that last, means it should be the first that comes off when you use a Rad-Away

As a carnivore I scooped this bad boy up as soon as it was added Didn't even know it was there, just looked through the new stuff and saw it and didn't even think about buying it. I on longer have to "borrow" from other people's mirelurk steamers or, gods help me, craft the mirelurk fillets anymore.
It's just so worth it, I'm a hevay gunner and i run carnivore, was using the radstag field dressing station for bonus carry weigh and could get up to +50 for 30 minutes and had too cook the meat, now i don't even have ti get out of my power armor and i get up to +75 for 1h30 it's just insane, and the 50 ap bonus are quite nice, my plasma caster loves it ! Just to precise that all those values are with strange in numbers being active
I randomly began doing a melee build that crosses over with bow & arrow the last 2 weeks because i got a rather good bone club. Basically going cavewoman in weapons and outfit as well Seeing the Pemmican and this being as much benefit as they are honestly just makes me feel like my carnivore mutation just constantly has more ups than downs ♡ Food sometimes feels super overlooked at times in this game
I'm a herbivore right now and have been wanting to get rid of it for so long because carnivores have way more benefits. I think it's a permanent shop item now because there's no limited time date on it👍
I really wanted this as a new player just for the carry weight and didn't have enough atoms. I am now a Herbivore for the Company Tea AP Regen and I just can't go back.
I will have to grab it. Ive been using cooked deathclaw and stacking cooked radstag for a massive weight boost. I found out about carnivore by mistake by getting it as a random mutation. I am going to have to learn how to craft that serum so I can keep it cause its an amazing mutation.
Im a herbivore, but i bought the steamer and left it unlocked for my fellow Carnivore visitors who would want some meat :) i also have pemmican unlocked for them as well
I don't know how this happened but I got the carnivore mutation with a 2* Starched Genes (And 3* Class Freak) on every build including my Crafting/Shopping build. I LOVE that mutation because I kill a mess of critters every single day and cook like crazy.
It may not be that useful for herb players but still has its niche for the daily and weeklies that require eating cooked meat meals. Especially with the changes they did with meat foods a while back
So as a Full Health PA Tank, Heavy Gunner, Im "Vegan", so I get the bennies from everything. If I go Carnivore, what food/drinks wouldnt I want to use? Im currently using ( Pemmican, Smoked Mirelurk Fillets, Company Tea, Canned Coffee, and Popcorn ), I occasionally go and make Cranberry Relish.
i hope that it stay in the store for a while since it doesn't say "limited for ...days"on it i want to buy it from the atoms from the scoreboard not from my pocket.
Why didn’t you just take a herbivore serum? It would take all negative effects of the serum away for 1 hour. Useful for switching to melee dmg mid game.
Wow 60 carry weight! That's almost right up there with yao guai pastries which give you 65-70 but that's a hard recipe to get a hold of. I May have to get this now
I have zero RR skins and it's my main weapon, but I also like food that gives good stats, for example I always use pemnican for food and company tea for thirst, but I can only buy one, which do you recommend?
