Owned kinda’ exotic muscle cars all the way to exotics like v12 jags n loads of Italian stuff too (omg a tr7 2) but on me 4th Miata- Took a hiatus n love affair with Audi’s but I’m back👍 Drove a carmax Nd n thought it was detached ad nauesem from the driving experience; drove a 2013 nc with 37k 1 owner n within seconds I was hooked🏆 Yes it was that intoxicating.
Thank you for making videos about more than just S chassis and skylines (basically unaffordable to most nowadays unless you have the know how to fix up rolling shells). Coincidentally i've been 'browsing' Carsales for NA MX-5's but this vid has opened up my mind to the later generations. Keep it up!
i'm getting my very own NC in a couple days (the 2.0 160hp with the Performance package, aka bilstein suspensions and torsen diff plus heated leather seats), can't wait to take good care of it and drive it in some mountain road around :)
I have an na and an nc and in my opinion the na doesn’t even compare to the nc and I regret buying the na, great video! Thank you for not calling it the boat of mx5s
I had a honda fit RS manual and had always wanted an MX-5. Just got a 6 speed NC2 two weeks ago and my god, I never realised how different two cars with 4 cyclinders and a manual transmission could be. The Honda fit feels like you're driving a cheap simulator in comparison whereas the MX-5 reacts to absolutely everything you do and has weight behind it.
Looks like a pretty decent car, Mazda certainly had the formula right with these! When my mid life crisis kicks in I will start scouring the classifieds!😁
It's a shame Mazda never kept the RX series going with a more "normal" engine. The K swap RXs are awesome and still rev high like a rotor. Now all they have is the MX5s and a bunch of suvs. At least they kept the Miata alive I guess.
Really was considering an nc2 before I got my s2000. Just the hydraulic steering and more accessible limits make it so appealing. It's let down by the poor spec in the UK cos we never got many with the recaros and bigger brakes
You could always put some nice road cams and clean up the top end and get it tuned to rev out to 7300-7500rpms, then you'll get your single shift 0-100 without any loss in acceleration.
