she's my fave disney princess, I'm so glad a sequel was never made because they are almost never good.. and Charlotte was such a sweetheart!! people always gush about how nice Eugene from Tangled is, but noone talks about Naveen! he was a player as well, a jokester and flirty, but he left that lifestyle behind all for the love he had for Tiana.
don't even get me started on the scene at the end where they BOTH build the restaurant together. idk seeing both the princess and the prince in their work outfits helping each other is so lovely
I remember getting this movie as a young child on DVD and just loving the movie, even today when I look back, it's just so magical, heartwarming and touching especially being that seeing Tiana gave me that small bit of representation. The music, animation, the characters and the whole movie is just wonderful it just makes me want to go back to when I was younger for the good times. I really wish i appreciated this film just a little bit more too, but I'll definitely rewatch it soon. Oh, and did you know there was supposed to be a Disney crossover called "Princess Academy", where all the official and un official princesses from Disney and Pixar would meet up and interact. It was supposed to be in 2D animation, I think like this one and from looking at the pictures online it just looked so enchanting. It was scrapped because I believe that Disney were pushing to 3D animation which is just so sad but it was a brilliant concept!
This is one of the only Disney movies I can rewatch as many times as I want and will never get enough of it. The songs are my top tier best Disney songs, definitely. (I mean, 'Almost There' itself is a masterpiece and the performance made it EVEN BETTER.) Tiana is my favorite Disney princess since I was a kid. She's an incredibly written character, just like Naveen and GOD shall I mention the villain? Don't get me started on that granny that sings, she's absolutely adorable. I love this movie. By the way, your commentary is so good and professional. And I LOVE the little frames that you draw throughout the video. I'm so glad I got you in my recommendations, you really deserve more subs.
Its kinda sad that the first black princess was mosly a frog in the movie, but still its a good movie love that Tiana was so hard working and intapentet.🐸💅🐸
I agree the princess and the frog movie is underrated let’s be honest we know that it is not the worst Disney Princess movie but you can tell that people look up to them and even though by box office success it made the least amount of money comparing to the rest of the other Disney Princess and how some of them made double if not triple the amount of money compared to Princess and the frog with obviously frozen at the top if its game then going Sleeping beauty moana,Tangled,Cinderella,Brave, Aladdin,Beauty and the Beast,Snow white and the seven dwarfs,Pocahontas,Mulan,The little Mermaid and finally the Princess and the frog you can see why it is underrated compared to the other Disney Princess movies it just did not make a lot of money compared to the other ladies
I rewatched Pocahontas... 3D can only dream of creating the same art of 2D animation. It's funny how everything looks better in 2D. Even paintings can look more beautiful than reality lol

Tiana is my 3rd favorite! Her green dress is in my top 3 most beautiful princess dresses ever! I just love how its waterlily designed, almost kinda looking like a lotus flower! She worked her butt off in an already racist society for her dreams and never even asked Lottie or her dad for a loan. I feel even if they gave her the money or restaurant as a wedding gift she would’ve paid them back because the restaurant itself symbolized her and her dad’s hard work. I’m not a POC and never saw anything wrong with her being a frog for most of the story, but I do understand how that seemed racist in a way in comparison if she was white instead. Lottie as well despite she’s so used to getting her way and living the royal life is actually really good best friend who didn’t get mad or jealous when she learned the real Naveen loves her best friend. I really love how she hired Tiana for a beignet stand at her party to help pay off any leftover debts for her restaurant, plus the girl even gave Tiana a beautiful blue ballgown and tiara! I agree the blue dress is so underrated! I do agree to a point that Tiana and Naveen got married as humans very shortly after being human again. I feel with Tiana’s more hardworking and realistic personality she would want to get her restaurant up and running, and the profit it makes goes to their wedding. I mean Rapunzel and Flynn waited an entire series which took about 3 years before she finally said yes, and I love that Rapunzel was being honest why she couldn’t get married right now, and Flynn completely understood and respected her feelings, telling her he’ll be ready whenever she is. Anyways another question I have about Tiana becoming a real princess is how would she manage both royal duties and a restaurant, especially considering Maldonia is supposed to be Indian inspired? So when Naveen is made king will she able to keep juggling being a princess and a restaurant owner in 2 different continents, seeing the story takes place around in the 1920s I think? Also do a video about Kida and especially Pocahontas are underrated as Disney princesses! Both are amazing kickass women who definitely didn’t need a man to save them, if anything they did all the saving, and both actually cared about their peoples in comparison to a lot of other princesses.

Actually the last 2D movie this studio made was Winnie the Pooh in 2011! :) I miss the style too & really wish they would go back to it! or at least merge the two, like Paperman did. This movie is beyond beautiful and impressive. more so than any CGI movie imo. I hate that Tiana is a frog for the whole movie too!! ugh. I wouldnt mind it so much if she wasn't literally the 1st black princess. their human forms were too gorgeous to waste like that, and I think that definitely made people see it as more of a "kiddy" movie, the fact that 90% of it is talking frogs
Speaking of which, I think it's safe to say why Princess and the Frog seems to have garnered more popularity in recent years than it did during its original theatrical run. They must've finally realized that most of its revenue was generated from nostalgic millennials in their teens and twenties at the point of its release who easily see that particular medium through rose-colored glasses and often associate it with the ones they grew up with, most notably the Disney classics, the Disney Renaissance, and the 80s Don Bluth films.
Great and positive movie review, Princess and The Frog is one of my favorite Disney 2D movies and I have a suggestion on what movie you should watch/review next, it's super underrated and doesn't get talked about enough, it's called Treasure Planet and it's awesome, you should totally check it out.
