If you have seen black stuff on the ducts in your home or on your ceiling fan, you're probably wondering if it is mold or if it is just dirt. President, Billy Swanson, explains what exactly this black stuff is and how to avoid it.
Respectfully, it's really common to have mold growth around vents and ceilings. It's usually a bad sign of a leak or moisture problem, along with contamination of your AC system with spores. I would say from personal experience: Get it addressed immediately, and don't write it off as dirt or a minor issue. I hear what he's saying here...... that a minor issue with humidity in a bathroom won't cause mold growth normally. What happened on our end is that there was a hidden plumbing leak -- feeding spores into the AC system. One of the first signs was black specks populating around the registers and ceilings. So I'm saying .... get it addressed and find the source of the moisture immediately before it gets bad
