So im not sure here, but my gf at somepoint decided to live with me, after 1 year into our relationship, she put a ring on me and we were engaged. She doesn't write goodmorning or goodnight, she only replies when i text her. at first i tried to be a part if it, but that quickly drained med completely, making me do irrational things, from her perspective, like talking with her about my feelings my thoughts. Her answers were as objective as could be. We decided at some point to just sticking to being bf-gf instead of engaged since it was our both's first time. However things didn't do any better, she thinks all is good and well, and she tends to forget time and just enjoy herself when she's with her friend. Almost like she were at the start of our relationship. But when we're together, i feel good for being with her, but i can't help but get negative thoughts. For example, "does she love me" and since i know she's the type that doesn't rly share her feelings or thoughts before she thought them through. for example a boy kissed her at the start of our relationship, she felt it was her fault, thus not telling me before a year and 5 months in our relation ship (meaning recently). So, what if she doesn't tell me when she and her good friend now kiss or do other stuff. I don't know what to do, and honestly lately im trying to block my emotions cus i can't deal with it since my thoughts asks me the right questions just to amplify my emotions making it even worse. I've had multiple occasions where i just wanted to take a cyanide pill or just walk infront of a train/car/bus, because it feels like a living hell. I can't relax in my own apartment anymore just because she's been here(I assume). What does it mean to take for granted? I probably did not give my ex as much affection as she desired. Nonetheless I did give her affection like hugs every day. I did not verbally tell her that often that I cared or so. I never treated her badly otherwise. I acknowledge being a bit cold but is that same as taking for granted? And to be honest I was very surprised that she had felt so had that she decided to end the relationship.
You took her for granted, if you stop ACTIONS then yes.. a man should always give gifts and value her by actions and only that.. going to dates.. etc.. that's it.

Women will do things men take for granted too this isn’t a one way street here. I know women who cook, make appointments, watch the kids, do basically everything for the guy and they are setting themselves up to be taken for granted. This is why divorce is more common amount women, men are the ones more likely to take a woman for granted because they don’t take her words seriously when she says it.
