Sounds like a well balanced summer. My 3 kids usually spend a big part of their summers at the grandparents’ house, but otherwise, they do tons of reading and pool time.
In the Summer, we like to touch back on winter-time neglected topics like nature study or some of the other enrichments with oodles of time to build and play!
@@Homeschooling_Realtor what a good idea to tackle a neglected topic during the summer. Building and playing sounds like so much fun. Thanks for being here and for sharing. Got you entered!
Happy summer to you, as well. 🌻 My davorite thing to do in the summer is to go for hikes. Especially in the mountains. We live just 4 hours away and when I drive into the city it feels like they are so much closer. Pains me that we cannot go more often then every few years. Just the season we are in.
We're doing a little school in the summer... mostly so we can keep math fresh. Playing with snap circuis, doing crosswords, etc... sneaky learning. AND lots of camping. 🙂
we never know what will happen in the summer, we do try to do the library reading challenges but none of us ever remember to check our reading time even though we read a lot all year long. We relax, keep going on some learning throughout the summer but also movie time since most of the school year we do not watch tv or media more than a short pbs cartoon. wish we could be outside more but North Texas gets very hot so mostly keep indoors during day and any outings will be early morning or evening. I prefer museums during the school year so we get quieter times and get to take it slow. Apart from that, just life :)
My favorite things is taking a break and doing a fun unit study. But the last 3 summers have been oddballs with a lot of life changes/events throwing us off course. 2025 is my year of rest! Summers are for the teacher too so I need them back!
I believe it’s so important to get a break. We really need it. And totally get it with life changes. Praying all is well. We love unit studies. Thanks so much for being here. Got you entered!
My older kids ate up all of those Who's Who books when they were learning. It was so fun. How cute about all those Jenny Philips books. I love summer too! One of our favorite things to do every summer is go to the lake to swim! We go every week.
The who’s who books are the best! Cool that y’all swim in the lake. They scare me. I’m amazed how brave people can be. Thanks for being here. Got you entered!
I like how you think. It does help with my stress level to know that we can get a head start during the summer when possible. Love the flexibility of summer. Thanks for being here. Got you entered.
I always think we'll have time to do lots of fun things and relax in the summer but it seems like we get so busy! We do the library's reading programs and summer kids programs and participate in sports and try to carve out time for swimming at the YMCA or the lake.
I totally know what you mean. I don’t know if I truly know how to relax honestly. lol. But I do enjoy packing our days with museums and such. Sounds like y’all have a fun busy summer. Thanks so much for being here. I’ll get you entered.
Hi family! We would be staying home and enjoy the break! Get some bbq in the backyard and use the inflatable pool haha! Thank youu already been following ever since 💜💜
New subscriber! Thanks for sharing! ☺️I can relate to a lot of what you said. We have been catching up, and will be homeschooling throughout the summer. It’s hot where we live anyway so we will enjoy a more relaxed fall when the weather is nicer, and we can spend more time outside.
Thanks for sharing! I love watching your curriculum videos. One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to exercise. I'm so busy doing the school year that I can't do as much as I can in the summer.Thanks.
We finished our HBL end of June but we are bringing 2 books into next year!!! 1 for science and 1 for this years history!!! We love TGTB science units and we have some of the older versions and we don’t care for worksheets either!!! We did masterbooks ecosystems!!! I can’t remember what it was called tho!!! We are getting to be outside more as we just got to Hawaii and my kids are loving being outside with my friends kids!!! We are doing EP government with my older kids as I feel it’s only appropriate for them!!! My older kids know I voted for the U.K. government by postal vote so we spoke a little then!!! We love the who is books!!! We have already found a home church as we went in January when We where there for my work!!! We vary on TGTB books!!! My kids have asked for us to go to a water park and there is one on our island so we are planning to!!!
So awesome y’all live in Hawaii now. We wanted to be there since it’s still American soil so I could keep up my dental credentials but it never happened. We pray about visiting again in the near future. How do the kids like EP government? Sounds like a great option since EP is free. Thanks so much for sharing! I love hearing what y’all do.
Hey! For the summer holidays, I'm planning to enjoy the sunshine, maybe go on some virtual adventures, and definitely play more of our fun guessing game with zoomed-in photos! How about you? Any exciting plans for the summer?
@@TheChan7 zoomed-in photo is a kinda our family game Whereby we have to guess the items on the photo while we zoom in the photo to make it harder to guesss . Yes! Yes! After I made this comment I watched the video. My bad for not editing my comment lol I totally forget as I watched u shared your summer activities plan
We’re between K and 1, so we’ve been reading a few beginner books and doing a Kumon summer review book. Our history and science curriculums are mostly literature based, so we’ve been continuing those as we have time. We have about 3 weeks before we start back all subjects.
Love your videos! Thanks for sharing. 🩷 Our summers are crazy hot 🥵 averaging about 110°-115° so far so we’ve been staying indoors for the most part. We’ve also been finishing some schoolwork since we had our 5th baby this year. Hoping to enjoy the cooler weather in fall and relax a bit then. 🩵
Ooh. That’s super hot! And congrats on baby #5. Definitely enjoy the time with the new addition. And the fall time is a great time to enjoy a more of a break with the nicer weather. Got you entered.
