Why This Secret Deal Against Artists is Getting Worse  

Independent Artist/Practitioners/Service Providers gotta move in a direction of building their own table to sit at. We’re in an era of corporations utilizing capitol and infrastructure to minimize the growth of independent entities. Waiting on gov’t intervention is akin to slapping a bandaid on an already compromised wound. Artist need to go back to the drawing board when it comes to how to engage with your fanbase (both digitally & IRL). If you wanna continue playing the traditional industry games, you will always run into the same band of corporations operating with shitty business practices. I think there’s an opportunity for DIY Artist/Entities to partner with creative folks in the tech space to develop ways to operate outside of the monopoly of the like of Ticketmaster, Livenation, Spotify, Etc.

Yep, I remember when Pearl Jam protested Ticketmaster. Eddie Vedder was astronomically vocal about it.

What is systematic? When corporations buy out all the independent outlets,radio, record station(online and traditional), then they put major radio in bigger cities, who in return create large amphitheaters and such but say it's for the people and then charge ridiculous rates all to profit off of the little people, but in masses. Go back to Lucky Luciano's dealing with Blacks on the number running scene. Quote basically said, they only have pennies, individually, but together, those pennies make dollars.

looks like the ticket system is just to keep the artist locked to the label as a slave. It makes no sense to give an artist a "LOAN" to do stage performances, unless it's just to help the artist make a team together on the spot rather than from the own pockets. But if it's just to perform, no dancers, fit, nothing?? Then it's a scam. (Live nation)

LIVE NATION CEO SAID TICKET PRICES IS UNDER PRICED BECAUSE OF THE SECONDARY MARKET TICKETS IS BEING BOUGHT EVEN WHILE PRICES ARE HIGH.AND NOW CONCERTS ARE BEING USED AS THE OPPORTUNITY FOR PEOPLE WHO WILL PAY FOR THE TICKETS THAN EVERYONE CAN GO..SOCIAL MEDIA, AND STREAMING MADE IT THIS WAY

Ticketmaster and live nation and venues should be boycotted. We don’t need them or the artist supporting them
