I love this channel. I go to PT because my knee was screwed up by a surgeon who did a sloppy ACL/ MCL operation. I had NO idea how long it would take for me to figure stuff out! I wasn't making any progress until I found this channel! Now I use my glutes (thankfully I have strong glute muscles) to 'push' me up the stairs and Voila! No knee pain! Ditto for going DOWN the stairs. Going Down Stairs: by standing very straight up, and connecting my Abs to my Glutes - I go DOWN the stairs w/o problems. This channel has explained why my PT's are never giving me the right exercises to strengthen my glutes, for example. I think they'll stay in good shape as I use them pretty often. But NEVER EVER in a million years did the PT ever mention GLUTES! I think it's a travesty! I've been telling my PT place that one of them needs to visit your office in NM and talk with you guys about these issues! And you're right! They don't know how to work with a person who is REFUSING to have knee surgery! They think I'm just a 'difficult patient'. What? No! I think THEY'RE the problem. As someone who started in life as a Civil Engineer and transitioned to being a licensed architect, I know a LOT about how things work, and I'm shocked at how primitive doctors and PT's in the US are when it comes to understanding the STRUCTURAL issues of how the body works! They are ignorant! And I'm NOT getting a knee replacement as I think it's a gross horrible operation!

Yes, I agree, however, it's not about us as the patient! For 90% of these surgeons and pt's it ONLY ABOUT MONEY AND STATUS. They DON'T want us better bcus it cuts into their continued profits 😢! I share this with my aquatic pt specialist bcus they are great ppl they've just been training wrong

I have nerve offered a comment on ANY site on the web! But this doctor IS THE BEST EVER!! I had intense knee pain in 2020. Laying on the floor Christmas Day unable to walk without pain. I believe in PT and stumbled upon this channel and after listening to everything I zeroed in on my Glutes!! And that was the primary cause of all my knee and leg pain!! I send this link to everyone I know!! I love that this doctor doesn’t want us to get cut open. I can’t say enough here. I am 63 and many people I know are in this crossroads! THIS IS THE ANSWER!! I am insanely grateful!! Please keep offer us good advice, good exercise and hope!!! Kathleen

I just had an appointment with my Orthopedic recently and all he recommended is that I have to loose some weight and that I have severe arthritis and there is no other way for me to improve other than a knee replacement. 😢 But you know what? I'm going to continue doing what I do. I have been doing so well for 2 years straight up, and physical therapy really works 💪

Indeed! the principle of address the root issue to heal applies to all aspects of our body and mind. This is psychology 101. It takes education, research, discernment , commitment, diligence and devotion to practicing the principles. It takes work. Many want easy. Fix it for me. You teach common sense Dr David. Pharma is great for trauma care. Not addressing root cause issues. Keep it coming Dr David. I love your shoulder program. I’m in phase two. 🙏🤗

@a_planet_on_fire

Idk exactly but healing osteoarthritis requires perfect hydration (go with coconut water, not tap water, and filtered water is no good if the good trace elements etc are removed), a diet that covers every nutritional need and actually exceeds most RDI's (eg vit C, D, E, K, A, collagen, amino acids etc), glucosamine + Chondroitin supplements. Cartilage has a lot of water in it to keep it spongey, and all the other nutrients etc kind of fill in and create the actual tissue matrix that gives it strength and resilience. A good balance of exercise and rest is crucial to rebuild cartilage. Hope that helps a bit but it's a very complex topic. If you want to know more feel free to ask. I don't know everything but what I do know can help.

I left from physical therapy to a fitness center. I do all their exercises in a pool..walk forwards, backwards, side steps, marching, 6 X's total ea. I declined squats, knee lift, backwards knee lift, (too much crunching in knee)... Do sideways leg lifts, backwards leg lifts, swimming in general. Not having gravity is relieving. I'm naturally attracted to weight lifting that does Not involve knee impact, including thighs, abs, pectorals, arms. Thank you for the confirmation. I am trying hydrogel shots, it does enlarge my knee joints. Like cosmetic hyaluronic shots, enlargement does dissipate....

Did PRP 4 weeks ago and my knee is almost back to 100%. Hyaluronic acid did almost nothing. Knee movement was smoother for 48-72 hours and then back to square one. Won't go anywhere near cortisone. HA was mostly covered by insurance. PRP was not and very expensive. But I did my HW, knew what to ask, shopped around and found that the cheaper PRP clinics were BS. I believe the cheaper offerings are for cosmetic not therapeutic PRP, but they are being sold as therapeutic. All that said, the PRP hopefully stopped the progression and now I need to address the cause (as the video indicates) of the arthritis.

I have come to see arthritis and joint replacements as resulting from long term muscle imbalances. Stop and look and you'll see these imbalances in others. One of my gym activities is the rowing machine, which is near the stair climber. I see foot faults (one foot steps straight while the other is turned out) in probably 1 out of 4 people. Do this for years and you end up with a knee or hip issue. I have often wanted to find someone who could observe my movements and ID the imbalances. Who would do that? A sports physiologist?

Sir, I have severe right hip OSTEOARTHRITIS, not sure about left, no imaging. Both knees are severe I only take suppliments because meds are just a way to make things worse. Been there done that then surgery and plates in my neck . Do you have a program that helps the hip as well as the knees? My hip is hard to move . Like trying to get into my drivers seat , which is rsiising my leg up . I feel exercises could make a big difference , not surgery . But I dont want to make things worse like the glutes for the knees . I do not have anyone so surgery is not an option . Ive always been the caregiver . My husband and disabled from birth daughter have passed . So I need to be able to continue to do things for myself . They dont have hip braces that you can buy over the counter . I use a rollator because my hip and knees used to give out all of a sudden . That seems to be better since using the rollator . A cane caused more problems with my neck & I fell when my foot didnt raise enough walking up wheelcair ramp . You are so correct about a cane - rollator . Sure I dont want to use a rollator. But I would have broken something by falling . Plus I would have been so much worse . I use the seat when I have to stand to long , then get back up . Thank you for your videos ! You know what your talking about ! I dont want to make things worse, but better . Looser on the muscles .

look into yucca capsules and fo ti and boswella and quercetin with bromelain and or ginger but don't take my word on it just check into it they told me 10 years ago I need a hip replacement . I don't trust drs. at all this guy is great though . taking yucca capsules took away my knee pain just check it out 40 years of taekwondo and downhill skiing made me hurt.

Is there a way to get off of prescription anti inflammatory medication? I had a knee surgery 30 years ago and I’ve been on the anti inflammatory medication for the past 15. It has helped me tremendously but if I try to get off of it I cannot function. How do I get rid of the inflammation on my own because the first 15 years after the surgery were hell and I still have issues walking to this day. (I did not have a knee replacement or repair. They unnecessarily removed a tissue mass that was in between my joint)

Some discomfort in my right knee but none at all in the left. Turns out I have bad osteoarthritis in both knees? After x Ray. I am 79. Only found this out due to having a lot of pain suddenly in both knees due to self inflicted damaging use of my quads. ( very tense way of sitting for long periods). I was oblivious until too late. I truly believe I would have had no problems if this had not happened.

Follow the advice he gives in his videos. There are other good ones too. Change your way of eating. Carnivore is best : lowers inflammation and bone broth gets you lots of (cheap) collagen. Body needs lots less vit c to process carbs so collagen absorbs it to build up again. Success !
