It absolutely destroyed someone I love dearly. Getting her medical card was the beginning of her downward spiral that ultimately destroyed her life and NOONE around her except myself was willing to consider that it may not have been the right treatment for her. Of course I was ignored. Just recently found out we share genetics with predisposition to psychosis with use. This is a discussion that NEEDS to be had. It’s not evil, but it’s NOT for everyone

The despensories always make turpenes sound like a good thing, I had no idea the terpenes were the bad compounds that have been added that’s messing up the cannabus. Up until today I thought cannabus was improving my quality of life, but I’ve been watching these videos all day, because I think I have the start of CHS, and my mind has been completely changed from what I thought I knew, and I’ve been using for over 10 years for my fibromyalgia. By the way, never had any issues with CHS till I switched mainly to vaping in December, if you want to keep smoking NEVER start vaping! It will ruin you CB1 receptor and you won’t be able to digest your food anymore. 😢 Oh and I had already typed that before she started talking about vaping. Lol

@@BeyondPC Ok so basically decarboxylate it. I’ll give that a try if I ever try to smoke again, but I haven’t smoked since I wrote that comment around the first week in April. I smoked for over a decade, because I genuinely thought it was improving my quality of life, but my life has improved leaps and bounds from quitting. All my stomachs problems are completely gone, and I finally don’t feel like I’m running on a vapor of energy, my chronic fatigue has greatly improved. I’m finally getting caught up on my house that had fallen into a state of complete overwhelm.

I smoked since i was 16. Im 37 now. I developed CHS recently, I'm pretty sure it's because i was taking more and more concentrates. I started taking RSO for my chronic pain and anxiety. At first, it was amazing. I thought it was a miracle. But the more you use it, the more you need to feel the effects. I went from taking a gram in maybe a week, to only getting 2 uses out of a gram, and it would be gone in 2 days. I started getting extremely nauseous in the morning and throwing up uncontrollably. Luckily I remembered that CHS is a thing. I caught it early. For about a week i had to take an anti nausea pill. Yesterday was the first day i didn't need it. Weed was my go to crutch. But now the amount of energy I have is insane! Im manic as hell but much prefer it to feeling sick 24/7. Too much of a good thing is BAD. CHS needs to be talked about more on the amount of people going through it in the ER is on the rise and many doctors don't even know that it's a thing. If weed is going to be common... Then CHS should be common knowledge as well.
@kathrynkij5979
@kathrynkij5979 2 месяца назад
@@carwashgirl3541 Oh man girl, I was so there with the mania the first week. Keep your eyes on the goal, cause it will go away after a couple weeks. What helped me a lot was making tea with catnip for anxiety, and lemon balm for the nerves, and raspberry leaf if your stomach is still woozy. Only a little bit of catnip goes a long way or it will make you nauseous. I also used Magnesium and Kava Kava at night to help me calm down for sleep. Your anxiety will get better, figured out smoking was actually making my anxiety and isolation worse. You got this! And yes, I agree it needs to be talked about more. I especially wish the budtenders would warn you when you start using more and more vapes and concentrates, but guess to them that’s bad for business. 😡

Another great video! 46F, started using at around 30. Immediately became a wake-n-bake all day long addiction. My brain is soooooo messed up now which is why I am quitting! I have always had anxiety and depression but it has manifested into something I've never experienced. I once thought marijuana was innocent but it grabbed me and got me good for 15 years. I've quit other drugs, nicotine...this one is the hardest for me, the THC just lingers forever in my fat cells. I am tapering down, mixing measured amounts of CBD/THC flower, 4 weeks in, my THC usage is down at least 90%. I am feeling mostly good but still pretty mentally uncomfortable. Every day is a battle.

Is paranoia a form of psychosis?
@realmstupid-on8df
@realmstupid-on8df 3 месяца назад
Paranoia in my opinion (not a professional just a dude) can be triggered from rational judgement subconsciously...like when I dealt with narcissistic abuse I always had to Seco d guess things. It made me paranoid. A paranoid delusion is psychotic which is probably what you're thinking of. It's paranoia from someone's own false belief. Which is what a delusion is its believing in something as if it's a fact with zero actual rationality to think it's true. Like "the feds following me" or "they" and "them" being after you conspiratorial style.

I lost my husband of nearly 10 years to weed induced psychosis. Before he smoked he was kind, gentle, and considerate of all my thoughts and needs. Then he started smoking about 3 joints a day, and he stopped caring about birthdays, anniversaries, or even simple things like dinners together - he started becoming apathetic to my emotions, and would even get highly annoyed if I brought up any issue. What is driving the heavy usage of cannibas? I wonder if it's underlying depression? I tried Marijuana a few times many years ago and I hated it. For me it was a mixed bag. I had some giggles and all that but I also had paranoia and anxiety. The bad definitely outweighed the good with my cannibas experiences. Interestingly, this doesn't seem to be the case with a lot of people. Maybe they are mildly depressed and weed lifts them out of it.

A schizophrenic starts seeing angels coming down from heaven and becomes fearful they're going to notice him and catch on to him being aware of then. So the schizophrenic person thinks he should act casual and starts pretending to be browsing something on his phone so the angels leave him alone. This is psychosis. Psychosis is when you are no longer living in reality. You are seeing what isn't real and can't differentiate and acting on that in reality i.e reacting to the fake stimuli with no second guess that it may not be real. Stay awake long enough and this will happen to you. You can experience certain psychosis that is diagnosed as a psychotic episode just you aren't naturally psychotic and can go to sleep and ur body can rehab itself so ur not bat sh*t crazy.

Which yes, however this is true with any mind altering substances such as alcohol, psychedelics, amphetamines (which is addressed in this conversation). But how do we know their brains are not being hurt at all? Just because someone has money doesn’t mean they aren’t hurting themselves. They never said all people who use weed are broke. You can also argue that money is not the only thing for a successful life. There is a spiritual side to success, how someone feels inside due to their current choices can often be more important as the rich people are among the highest suicide groups. She is a leading researcher in the field. Who are you? A teenager who hasn't read any of the research and likes smoking?

Really appreciate your interviews. I finally came out of denial after 15 years of steady use, especially with edibles. Feeling like I'm getting my life back. Shoutout @AddictionMindset. Y'all should have a lil chat with each other if you haven't.

@ari4everz Read Dr. Andrew Weil's book; "The Natural Mind." I'm 70, and I love being my age because my BS detector is experienced and very discerning.

@@moonectar the natural mind? The natural mind is sober with balanced homeostasis. Triggering the endocannabinoid system that balances our homeostasis by over stimulating it with so much weed makes us unbalanced. Quitting weed after smoking for 5 years was the best decision ever. I’m more present in everyday life and instead of smoking and numbing my feelings I can actually have a better relationship with myself and my family. People think cannabis is a mild drug until it’s time to get off it. The withdrawals can be horrible including cold sweats at night, insomnia, irritability, depression, anxiety… but it gets so much better once you’re off it for Atleast 3 months.. and it keeps getting better. If you use weed you’re more prone to irritability, depression, anxiety, paranoia, even PSYCHOSIS! This video shows a doctor saying that even if you’re not genetically predisposed it can cause psychosis: “ cannabis changes your brain: why it makes you more stressed and how to stop using it | Dr Yasmin Hurd” And this video touches on a man’s relationship with his grandma suffered because of her addiction to cannabis: “ An Honest Conversation With Two Ex smokers about cannabis “ I pray to god you don’t spread misinformation about cannabis to your children. Yes it can help people get off of hard drugs, as well as help people with chronic pain but so can opioids.

Be careful what you wish for you just might get it and it might. It be as great as you thought. Smoking weed your entire life. When your wise enough you will look back and wished you used your time and life more wisely. You’ll know when you get there. Freedom to smoke weed doesn’t mean you have to do it.

All stoners think it's fine. If you can't enjoy life without it, you're an addict. I like lobster, I don't have to have it every damn day.
