I have a facial treatment that is in yea expensive but not fancy, the person that owns the place wears a lab coat most of the time there. I started off with a face full of acnes and pimples that my mom and sister complains about a lot. After my 4th treatment I've cleared off all my active pimples leaving acne scars and maybe on my 5th to 8th treatment will be about clearing those scars
@bob marley Yeah, I feel like people forget that while a facial can benefit your skin, having a skin care routine will benefit you way more in the long run.
Business owners do NOT owe you luxury products and services for free or for a charitably low price. If you want low price skin care there are plenty of options.
With these treatments, you get what you pay for. Equipment is costly. We have to pay for our own products, supplies etc. But I guarantee you'll see results like she said. Faster and more effective. That face machine she used works wonders.
@@joismith9383 with that money you could buy those serums and use it way more often. just putting a higher price on a product just so u can pay rent is not the reason why the customers get good results.
@@bunnygutz7884 I guess how they paused the music for only that line that seemed unnatural thats why some may feel cringed out ..I get it but at the same time I think she's kinda cute tho not saying My judgement is better then other people...I used to get too cringed out by people behaviour but then I learned that we are all fakes and trying to belong it's nice to just be chill wid people...If we get too cringed out it realy stops people from being themselves around us...just my opinion/ observation...😓
1: “Steaming open my pores” not how pores work. The steam at best warms up and softens the gunk in your pores so they can be more easily extracted. At worst the steam drys out your skin and worsens inflammation. 2: pore vacuum. Not ground breaking 3. Modelling mask. Overblown ingredients. Again there’s nothing in here you couldn’t achieve at home for no money. 4. LED mask. £40 off Amazon 5. im howling she really gave her a basic ass hyaluronic acid serum and charged her insane extra for it. Go girl rob the rich they dont know shit
The LED masks off Amazon dont work. The wavelength is not strong enough and the light therapy needs to be operated by a pro. Same with the pore vacuume. Most pore vacuums on the market are too harsh. Again, needs to be operated by a pro. But I agree with the rest of what you said.
@@lilacfantasy4 i think what she’s saying is they are using those kinda masks off amazon that doesn’t work. i notice how they don’t have the professional large led panels
@@lilacfantasy4 I know what you mean but the person is Probaly saying that the girl giving the treatments is not using anything good but charging insanely for it
@@lilacfantasy4 "operated by a pro" its an esthetician that knows nothing about how UV works and is just following the pamphlet from the UV mask they order off Amazon. Keep getting scammed girl we love to see it 😂🤣

@@ge2719 the narrator said "she recommended it", and it's obvious that they talked with her about what she's gonna put on her face before the treatment. So they planned the Ad-Ons before they were added
Anna Beth Charlet the serum costs $245 and you can only purchase it as a licensed professional. I’m in the field as well. I wouldn’t have charged near that much just to add the serum, but it’s definitely not $10.
@@siyasia4634 I think it depends on person, for me it works when I do it regularly but I know people with good skin who do their skin care as you once or twice a week
don't waste your time on an expensive facial, if you're looking for results that will last more than a day, spend money on a high quality serum or essense.
Spend it on healthy food! The results will be much more effective and probably last for months or even forever if you continue to just take those $275 and spend it on good and healthy food etc.
@@skeletor2012 You need SPF and consistent moisture in your skin for it to love you. I can eat like shit and have clear skin because I have a daily routine. Dermatologist have even stated that your diet isn't always the primary reason for breakouts. It could be hormonal, stress, lack of sleep, lack of hydration, lack of hygiene, ect. Also, wear your sun screen daily. Keeps you from looking 60 at 40.
@@isabellahu4606 Naturally, but I wear high collar t-shirts and I always moisturize after getting out of the shower. Wouldn't give the advise if I didn't take it for myself :P Opaque clothing acts as a natural SPF. I also have a long sleeved swimming top I wear whilst in the water. Any exposed skin gets sunscreen because I burn like nothing.

I never would get facials cus I thought was dumb but my skin had bad pore from acne and when I got facials they started to disappear! And I didn’t have black heads on my nose nor had to use makeup
Once I had a 30€ facial with so many products and extraction too. They also offered me strawberries with sugar and jazz music was playing...the entire institute was so aesthetic. My skin was like a baby's after the procedure too. It's a shame you paid 400$ just for this.
It won't as the mask is just for the esthetic and doesn't actually do anything to the skin. It doesn't even bond to transfer the ingredients mixed in. This is a scam but I kinda like it bc they scamming the rich
"just by looking at your skin type, i can see it's congested so we're gonna give you a little bit of everything" while her aspiration of founding a more inclusive beauty space is admirable, this assessment is pretty bad fhsjfjd
Only angels afford this cause they have million dollar paycheque , regular non ambassador models dont afford this but still they look way better than the one that afford.
after working in cosmetic derm I can tell you the markup is OUTRAGEOUS, our 130 face cream ( was 25 bucks for me- with the cheapest boss on earth - so I think it was 5 dollars) she has about 20 dollars worth of product on her face.
@@neslo.n8147 Lol why?? Cause black people especially black women were (and still are) prevented from entering such entrepreneurial spaces due systemic/other barriers and its amazing and inspiring to see this women and many others for that fact change that🙌🏽
@@americansweetheart5597 Lol come down dude. In general there are a lot of barriers that exist but it doesn't mean they can't be overcome! For example in South Africa where I'm from, 70% of the economy is controlled by white people... is that a coincidence?? No it's not!! Its because for a black person wanting to start a business that needs extensive capital like the one above, is extremely difficult ( not impossible) because banks are reluctant to finance them since most are 'controlled' by white people which is a barrier... Another example: a friend of mine who already owns a very successful IT company wanted to buy land in a predominantly white owned industrial area and it took him far longer to get the deeds to the land because people in the area kept putting unnecessary hurdles in his way. So I honestly don't understand why you're worked up about me and 64 others who liked my comment celebrating a black woman for making it... it's great to see! Just Tyler Perry expanding and owning one of the largest production studios in the world as a black man is f**king amazing and I'll continue to publicize their accomplishments.
@@americansweetheart5597 no I haven't heard of her I'll look her up thanks 😊 I can't speak for Democrats, Republicans or welfare because I'm not American and I don't completely understand your politics...Lol And I'm not playing the victim card dude! A victim mentality in my opinion is seeing barriers infront of you that can be overcome and deciding to succumb to them. But you can not say barriers don't exist because they did and still do.
What kind of BS is "We don't treat your skin type" to African American women?? I know skin can be normal, sensitive, dry, oily, combo, acne prone, eczema...is there another type I'm unaware of that's specific to African American women?
I think this refers to how some treatments or products can lighten or be harmful to melanin in the skin, which is an issue if you have a dark complexion.
A lot of lazers and treatments aren't effective or can damage skin with a high melanin content. So there are plenty of places that will advise that for some issues they have no resolve because the treatments they offer won't benefit or will damage skin with melanin. For example for some time people of color were advised to use electrolysis instead of lazer hair removal because the lazer couldn't distinguish between darker skin and the hair. It would burn the whole area causing burns, skin damage and scarring.
Ooooooh, I see! Thank you for enlightening me. But can't they still do a facial without the other stuff? Or find some other methods that would work? It seems sad that people with darker skin color would be excluded from a service because nobody wants to help
Dymond Kitty When are they going to create treatments FOR dark people? And when this invisible barrier between white and dark people is going to disappear?
"I can tell by your skin type that you're skin is congested, so we'll give you a little bit of everything" That's like saying, "Hey i can see that you're hungry so ill give you a little bit of everything in the menu"
For real! I feel western skincare is so behind the Asian one. This is how I feel about Clinique and their "nr 1 toner". It's just alcohol for the most part. 😒
So? so what a victoria secret model loves this facial? Am I gonna be a model after this facial? Am I gonna get taller? Am I gonna start earning money like a VS model? Thanks but Im good with my Korean skincare routine.
This Is probably pointless. You don’t need a facial and all that for a good face/skin. Just wash your face/skin and It will look way better! These are probably really expensive and pointless. Some things don’t help at all.
I really look forward to the day where we don't constantly have to see people over-glamorizing products JUST BECAUSE some model or "influencer" gets it. This owner of Soma Spa had a story, she has a mission, that should have been the highlight. a Woman of color who created a spa after her experiences where some models also happen to love.
I think its awesome, that if you can comfortably afford it, you want it, you should do it. Nothings wrong with splurging on things like this, just like theres nothing wrong with using a 3 dollar lotion. Do what works for you!!! Live your best life girls and guys💜💜💜💜
**If you’re an esthetician** The products from the video are from esthemax. You can buy from there if you’re a member, just provide them with your cosmetic license (same with Dermalogica pro products at the International Dermal Institute)
The only part that I'd pay for is the suction/infusion. The facial has Egyptian Rose which is a fragrance. It can give you an allergic reaction, make you more sensitive to any other products and make top blood vessels more apparent. I'm not paying for someone to put crap like that on my face.
