This is the first time I've ever seen this man, but for sure - the way he is dealing with the stress and trauma is excellent. He didn't do what so many others do and spiral down into self-destruction, but turned it into something very positive. I applaud him for that. Immensely.
Starting my first reef tank this week, just got water in, sand, etc. waiting on rock and to cycle! So glad a mind like you is back in the community to help me along! Thank you man!

@@MileHighReefers no problem. Also a few years back I promised to send over a og bounce mushroom once mine grow some babies. That never happened since it got eaten by a lobster that has since been banished to the sump. I recently got a new small frag. I intend to keep that promise once I'm able to.

I'm sorry and feel your pain. I lost everything on a divorce as well. But keep your head up, there is someone special coming your way. You just have to have an open heart so when it does show up you can welcome it.

Thanks for sharing your story and I'm sorry for what you had to go through. I went through the same thing back in 2018. We sold the house and I had to break down my 120 gallon mixed reef. I now have a wonderful loving GF and I still get to see my kids almost every day since my ex and I share 50/50 custody. After being out of the hobby for a few years I recently started a new tank just last year, albeit a smaller Waterbox nano tank with a sump. I'm running an SPS dominant system. The first few months were rough, going through all the ugly algae phases and losing a few SPS frags. The tank has finally stabilized though and I'm just now starting to see SPS growth. I look forward and am excited to the future of this tank. Don't worry Scott, this divorce will soon be long behind you and things will get better.

Unfortunately this is the first video I've watched from MileHighReefers. However, on a good note, I respect how open you are to your followers/subscribers. I am still new to the hobby and love watching, listening, or talking about reef stuff. Wish you the best and look forward to more videos!
Thanks for sharing! I got a divorce a few years ago. Happened right after my tank crashed. Sometimes I wonder if my hobby hurt the marriage but I can think of a lot of other things that could be worse. Haven’t had the courage to try another tank but I’ve watched you for years and it gives me hope one day. So glad you’re in a better place, believe me I’ve been there!
Oh all the reef videos I’ve watch, this is probably one the most eye opening. Glad you made it through good and living a healthy life. It is sure a wake up call to us married big guys who get complacent with our hobbies.
