I love red light therapy! I have a full-body panel (Hooda brand) hanging on my bathroom door and do my morning stretches in front of it. I also have a far infrared full-body sauna but I can't use it in the summer when it's been so hot lol. My tip: use a green tea toner 30 minutes prior to red light exposure to increase the benefits. I use an inexpensive toner from Isntree or you can brew your own tea and put it in a sprayer. Just make sure if you buy a green tea product that it has no oil in it which could block the light. I agree, Rachel . . . beauty is work and skill!
I have seen red light products all over the place recently, but had no idea about all of the potential benefits! The clicking jaw is something I wouldn't have known about at all. I always learn new information from your videos.
Yes! My too! I’m going to be trying one soon! The challenge is making the time 😏 It’s one thing to chill under a red light, but those RF devices require manual use 😩
Oh my gosh, Grace! How old??? The “baby type tired” is in another league of exhaustion! What a nice benefit punch that it can give you energy and reduce the wrinkles!
I started having Herxheimer reactions after using the red light sauna at my gym after only a few sessions . I have a lot of health issues like Lyme disease and impaired detox pathways bc of my gene mutations . It’s not for everyone. I had to stop .
i actually disagree on the beauty is pain bit 7:04 most older woman who maintain their beauty either used some kind of oil/cream or they religiously used spf and/or have great genetics.
@@RundownwithRachel It’s ao much work. I’m 47 and I am still layering products. Some people say I don’t look my age because I have been very consistent. But it’s so tedious.
We just bought a mask and I’ve yet to use it! I was curious too about using goggles with it bc I want to treat around my eyes so I figure just closing your eyes is enough protection?
How exciting!!!! I’ve heard that closing your eyes is fine! I’ll reach out to the companies and see if we can get a formal say! If you can take a progress photo, too. You’ll be amazed!
Hey! I’ve never heard of it! So many great ones out there. I’ve learned the hard way that it’s always a good idea to check out the return policy that way if it doesn’t pan out you don’t lose out on anything.
Hey Rachel. I just got a mask and mine says to use on a cleansed face. Is it working if you use it while wearing sunscreen? I have been washing my face but then it gets super dry and tight while I use the mask. Not sure if I should use a toner or serum to help.
Hey Joanna! I have heard some people do use a serum with it and find even better benefits! I have stuck with just doing right when I wake up lately. But I can see why using a serum would be a great addition.
Everything I’ve read says to use on a completely clean and dry face bc serums, sunscreen and skincare in general can create a reflective surface that the light bounces off of instead of penetrating the skin. I wash my face, use my red light then immediately apply my skincare. My skin drinks up my skincare better than ever after using my red light mask, trust me when I say that dry and tight sensation will be gone and actually better improved than ever, just sit tight w it for the 10 minutes and you’ll reap the benefits
@mysticheather I think this makes the most sense. I tried it a few mornings without washing first and felt like there wasn’t an immediate glow like the days with a cleansed face. I will do the cleanser, mask and then finish my routine.
I’m not really interested in young women testing this. Let’s look at women who are actually aging. Like post menopausal women. That’s the true test to prove it works. I’m tired of women under 40 talking about how to anti age.
I understand where you’re coming from. Fortunately there are a lot of post menopausal RU-vidrs out there. At the very least my intention was to share the benefits.
@@RundownwithRachel Thank you for sharing! I’m 47 and I am experiencing peri menopause which has chnged my skin tremendously. You can experience hormonal changes at an early age which would make a younger woman need or feel as if these products would help with the changes in her skin.
@dermlover1 I'm 57, still perimenopausal and have been using a full body panel from PlatinumLED for 2 years now. Let me tell you, it is life changing. There are a TON of health benefits but for skin...OMG!! I have people getting up close and personal to my skin, including medical providers who tell me how beautiful my skin is and that I don't look my age. Granted, I do have great genetics, I eat very clean and am very fit but red light has taken my skin above and beyond. My skin actually glows from within and it didn't take months, it took days to notice a difference. To be honest I started out with a device for my face but after a few months it shorted out. I felt so great using the device I invested in the full body panel and I would do it again in a heartbeat. The full body panel has much stronger output and has both near infra red and infra red lights that truly made a difference. It's great for improving mood, for reducing inflammation & soreness after working out...there's too many benefits to go into here. If you can afford to invest in a full body panel that would be my suggestion. Skip the small, weak devices and get yourself the real deal.
@@DoItWrightRo Yeah I’m 38, and after getting Cov and lymes a few months apart, it started a bad spiral and it’s affecting my hormones. I lost so much muscle everywhere and my skin is suddenly loose and not supple, even though my body size hasn’t shrunk at all. It makes me so sad how it’s affected me in 2 years so young. I even have probably 30 percent grey hair on my head the past 2 years as well.
