We’ve really done our due diligence with this - asking professionals for advice, researching regulations, presenting arguments (we’ve brought up how people eat raw seafood + tartare 😅), and we’ve finally ended up here to share what this all means with you guys.
At the end of the day, it’s your opinions that matter the most to us and as long as you know what we stand for, we’re okay with moving on. We’d much rather spend our time & energy making a better food and providing a great experience for you guys than going over on regulatory nuances!
So, what can you take away from this?
1️⃣ Since “human-grade” isn’t technically supposed to be used with raw, if you want to know the quality of a brand’s sourcing, ask them whether their ingredients are USDA inspected and/or human edible. Just being from a USDA facility isn’t enough since USDA facilities can produce inedible product as long as it’s labeled that way.
2️⃣ If you see people asking questions about whether our food or another raw is “human-grade”, share this video with them!
