Just a tip… we keep our phonics cards in an A5 binder with plastic inserts. Makes it so much easier to flick through and find the ones you need for the lesson. It also protects the cards 😊
Thank you so much for the flip through! I’ve been wondering where it starts to get into cursive, so thank you for showing that (cursive is so very important to know!)
If a child is starting 2nd grade, but did not do CLE LA1, do you recommend going back to LA 1 or would they easily be able to start with LA 2 and not miss anything that was taught in 1st grade?
Each grade starts very gently, so you should be fine jumping in to LA 2. :) You can order individual light units so if you want to look at them on CLE’s website they do have samples of each one. It’s a great way to see where you need to start based on what your child is ready for. ❤️
Yes! The way the program works is you start the CLE Learning to Read program, and then once you get half way through that one, you add in the Language Arts 1. After you’ve completed Learning to Read, you are then ready for Reading 1. So there are three components all together. ❤️
Thanks for your prompt response! I just want to be clear. You include reading 2 for second grade as well? I have only seen you review language arts program of CLE.
