Could’t agree with more! David and I (47 yrs) left the USA 13 yrs ago and took the plunge and moved to South America. We sold our beloved home , had our furniture etc shipped to us and never regretted one single minute of taking a risk to enjoy the rest of our lives to the fullest . For the past 13 yrs we have been living the dream….congrats to you both !

genius !! way back in the 90's when i was a regular there were 3 amazing Men who owned a Guesthouse i loved them so much, i stayed there every summer...... they were like my three Daddies younger Gay men will be encouraged by your drive BRAVO

So true, life is short . My partner of 30 plus years was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2021, this was a pivotal point in our lives. I have worked in mental health the last 30 years and my partner Kevin has been working with the government for 30 + years. We have decided that we will sell our home and move out to the East Coast of Canada. I will take early retirement, and Kevin will be retired this fall. what really matters is that you have a full enrich life that it’s not all about paying bills …. what really matters is to make life you have now. Hi Daniel! We really didn’t have the financial means either, even after selling our house, using our 401k’s, and using all our savings (all things we are fortunate we had, because many people do not). We will explain how we did it at another time (this one was really WHY we did it). What we hope is to inspire people to take some risks if and when you can - go out on a limb when those chances happen.

I totally agree with the "life is short" mentality. I've worked in corporate finance in Boston for 22 years and at age 47 am feeling burnt out AF. I work 100% from home which makes it more manageable, but I'm still mentally stressed. I bought a condo in Provincetown 7 years ago and it was the best decision I ever made. I've been short term renting in West Palm Beach, FL for the winters. I plan to retire at 50 from corporate america permanently and buy a winter home in West Palm and snowbird between there and Ptown.

Success happens when your both on the same page- my partner and I took big risks as well cosmetology school mall. Opened 1. 2. And then 3 rd salon and boy did 58 come quick but we got to spend our life together laughing at the same things all day long You guys are great ❤️ you both

Here's my motto: If you've put in a lot of time and you've made money for someone else giving your all for someone else's purpose in life, you can surely do it for yourself (without a doubt)! You certainly look like you've checked that off your list or planning agenda. Right! Most people fear taking that leap - but you're absolutely right that if you've had many years of being skilled and valuable for the benefit of others, you most likely have the ability to do it for YOURSELF as well. It jus takes that leap, and that can be scary!

Did you ever tell the ladies you were with that you were gay? Because that's a death sentence if you gave AIDS to anyone just saying and very selfish either way to not tell them your life style while you were with them!!!
