We’re Curtis and Cory, and we own two guesthouses in Provincetown, Massachusetts, right at the tip of Cape Cod. Guests are always asking us how we left our old lives behind, made our dreams come true, and what it’s like to live here and be innkeepers. After 10 years here, we decided it was time to show you! Taking care of these businesses sometimes feels a lot like being a parent, so now we’re InnDaddies! Business inquiries: innddadies@gmail.com
Oh No. I've been trying to think of the name of this restaurant during the past month to no avail. Glad I caught this video. Been there a lot long ago.
Yes! We used to have a short intro on our videos that said, "Running these two businesses is a lot like being a parent, that's why now we're the InnDaddies". LOL!
Thank you so much for bringing your wonderful videos on Provincetown. It is my favorite place to visit. You both bring such a realistic and humorous perspective on innkeeping. I love your walks through the town. It feels as if the watcher is right there with you both. Please don't listen to the negative comments because they are just unhappy people. I hope you never stop doing any of your videos for years to come.
We know not everyone who finds out channel will like it - the RU-vid algorythm isn’t perfect. The comments we get (such as your lovely one) are usually positive by far. We don’t know why anyone takes the time to write negative things. Seems sad to us, actually. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
Dawn dish soap w/vinegar equal parts removes stains and ground dirt. Doesn’t smell good but drying with Downey dryer sheets helps eliminate the smell. DaddyO
We use Dawn Premium for stains! Regarding dryer sheets - many people have odor sensitivity, so dryer sheets are not allowed (that's just a quirk of the business).
So curious about the big companies buying up inns! We were watching another video today that had nothing to do with Provincetown but one of the hosts mentioned staying in a very strict inn in Provincetown that dictated the exact time they need to come down for breakfast. LOL!
Really enjoy your videos!!! My family had a home in South Yarmouth, so I spent fun adventures in Provincetown with wonderful memories! Your videos are so much fun!🥰🥰💞💞
trials and tribulations of owning an inn. I am part owner of a 20+ unit place in N Truro on the bay side. Although these things happen, it has been a good summer for occupancy.
Lovely as always, my dears. ❤ Loving the new format and the jazz. ❤❤ Despite all of the drama, chaos and frustration, it all looks like heaven to me. Takes me back to my days in Key West. Don’t forget to keep counting your blessings. It certainly beats the alternative. ❤ I’m dying to know which guesthouse sold out and which corporation bought them. 🧐 Wondering if there are any parallels to similar events in KW, having a direct impact on my life and career. Big hugs to you both. ❤❤
I'm sorry, (not sorry), but pouring soda or cocktails into your potted plants is unacceptable!! I'm mad for you. I mean, who ARE these people?! I love how excited and into his plantings Curt always is. 🪴 Another enjoyable romp through a day in the life of Inn ownership in P-town with you. ps. I just watched 3 videos and each one had A/C problems~that must keep you busy~good thing you keep backups!
Bleach for cleaning and disinfecting. Oxi concentrated for stains, rinse before washing. Borax in the machine will keep everything nice and white. (2) Chinese soup spoons for my apartment size machine per load, (3) if your machines are full size.
Your personalization to your guests is truly endearing. Also glad to see you guys get out once in a while. Stay connected to your community. Best Wishes 🌿
I love watching you guys. My husband and I used to vacation in p-town all the time, but haven’t been able to for the past 14 years. Back in the day, we always stayed at Admirals Landing. When I retire next year, we’re planning on coming down and definitely want to stay at one of your places. Keep up the good work.👍
Hope to meet you next season. I live in New Hampshire...I'm a painter 🎨 too and I was the one who asked if you knew Michael McIntyre. We became friends in KW during my 10 yr. stint living there. Michael asked me to help when he began the Brass Key in P-town. My other half passed away and at the same time my mother needed help to be able to stay at home, so I had to forego helping Michael and that is how I ended back in New Hampshire.
I used to come up to Provincetown in the summertime in the 80s when this gal Mikie used to run a BnB called Ariel's. I also my remember my very first time staying in PTown at the Boatslip. Wow that was super noisy! With high tea and with daily dancing why wouldn't it be!
Hi guys always fun to watch. I was delighted this morning to see on youtube an interview y'all did when you first started the inn. It was fun to get an early days perspective. Hope y'all are well. When are you off to Florida and did your property down there escape the hurricane? I hope so. All the best from Texas 😊
Oh boy - THAT old interview! LOL! We leave for Florida in mid-November, and yes our place, and Curt's Mom's place, and his Uncle's place are all fine! No damage! Thanks for asking!
Sorry you felt you should move! We are here for as long as possible! We will likely need to leave eventually only because of the lack of access to quality.healthcare.
It's true, there's nothing like pop 'n' pop. Everything getting bought by corporations are ruining things. I had to spend a night somewhere (not in P.town.) It's a corporation. It was filthy, and the shower drain backed up right away. I wouldn't stay there again if it was by choice. I enjoyed the jazz drive down Commercial St., perfect for my Sunday morning with my coffee 🙂 😂The still not using bleach at the end. Thank you so much for your channel 🙂
Looks like you guys are doing a great job ❤ That piano jazz at the end is the best, I picture myself in a dark, cozy, smoky bar overlooking the water in Provincetown 🍸
We thought that we would be using more dancey music than we actually do. So often something with piano, more in the jazz or classic vein seems to fit our lives the best! Thank you for watching!
@inndaddies Just came across on utube this old documentary on Ptown in the 60s called 'The Cape, The Cod and the Constant Sea, 1960s America'. You'll love it. ❤
Good morning Cory & Curt! Pop & Pop Shop, I love it. Your positive attitude is delightful. It’s inspiring how you find amusement in the various human foibles you deal with every day. You have to love people to do what you do. Keep the anecdotes (and kindness) coming!
Thank you so much! Some commenters have said we are too pessimistic! We think we are very optimistic - but also realistic. Your comment was exactly what we needed to read. Thank you!
It’s sad when traditions like that die. 🙁 and wow, the food guys. It looks delicious. Glad to see you are still able to eat like that. I’m pretty much carrots and broccoli from now on lol! 😂
WOW!!! I can never do what you guys do. I don’t deal with so many things out of my control all of the time. you’re lucky to have the right personalities to do that. And a bacon eating vegetarian lol! 😳🤪 I bet your videos are dissuading quite a few people who were considering becoming their own Inn keepers. You are providing a very, very valuable public service. 🙃👍
As we’ve said, we started this vlog because so many people would tell us “You’re living my dream”. We love what we do, but felt like it would be great to show people the realities of owning an inn. Thank you for always being so supportive, Steve! XXOO.
Just found your channel few days ago so now I’m binge watching all that comes up. What a handsome couple. Thank you for sharing your time and I look forward to seeing more. You’re very informative, funny and clearly love each other. Love y’all ❤❤
We have two - 7 Central and Charm Provincetown. The links are in the description of each episode (below the video). We have two rooms at 7 Central that we allow dogs, but they have to be under 35 pounds for insurance purposes. If the time comes and you want to book, call or email and we'll give you more details!
It's sad at times to see the evolving Provincetown. I have been going there for 65 years. I remember way back when it was very bohemian in nature; with lots of street artists and musicians. The memories are endearing.
I would make them sign a note stating that they specifically requested nuts even though they reported their allergies. I too would be nervous about their health. That’s crazy.
It definitely throws us for a loop. On the one hand we want to make all our guests happy, on the other hand they asked us to be careful for their safety, and then they ask for exactly what they said they absolutely could not have! LOL!
