This is exactly why I chose to buy a second hand 2016 Duke 390 over a new 2017 one. I rode both and man, the raw power you feel on the older 390 Twins is unbeatable. Screw TFT, screw the more comfortable seats and screw LED's! The old KTM's are the ones who are truly deserving of the title 'Torque Monsters'.
Even I am planning to buy a second hand ktm rc390. Can you tell me if it is good or should I buy a new one. But I feel like the Grunt is missing on the new one. I want proper hooligan power.

Can relate it.... Riding RC390 is more like teleportation... Seating comfort is just like sitting on the wall... with time you can get used to it... I tour on this machine, can't sit more than 7 hrs a day on saddle, but you know that would be more than enough to cover a very long distance...
Ktm launch in Kerala is similar case dat happened in 80's when Yamaha launches rd350😁 too much power and rider don't know how handle this much power and now things have changed people are getting to know more of this kind of machine 🚲 😇
Riding a KTM is like riding a dragon.....literally. If yu cant control the beast it will just kill yu..... without hesitation. But if yu understand the beast and ride it with proper control it will reward yu with enjoyable moments

Guys who say old 390s are better than 2017 390s, you should owned both to clearly understand the difference. I owned a 2014 First gen wild duke 390, and sold it for 2017 rc390. Though the old gen 390 "seem" wilder and faster, the difference is intangible. Agreed older RC had 176kmph top speed, my 2017 rc doesnt budge beyond 172. But other than that, newer 390s are better im every way. Lot lesser vibrations, better heat management, absolutely better brakes! My ild 390 had hopeless brakes. But all said and done, i do miss my old 390's exhaust note. New duke/rc390 are a whole better package if you are thinking about ownership and not just a test ride!
Bro there are easy ways to fit old RC 's minor problems. 1) change brake pads on older ktms to sinted brembo pads.Braking would Improve by a very good margin cause old KTM used shitty brake pads. 2)For vibrations use rubber washers on fairing joints costs less than 50 rs 3)For heating use engine ice coolant it's the best or Liqui moly coolant (more affordable 450rs) 4)Also use motul 300v and an reputable octane booster.This is advised for newer ktms also.
😍samething i felt bro . First i rode 2018 rc390 and i felt it little bit lacky in power delivery and engjne braking is also not as agressive as old gen ktm. 🤯 old gen ktm are manic in engine charcter
New rc is more refined..less vibration..better heat management...but old rc lags all these,its good only for brutal acceleration and little more top speed than new one
Bro really its my first love this 2015 modal i just hate the 2017 and after model just hate it idk why And i am just 17 now and i ride this rc 390 of my big bro and whenever i ride i just can't handle myself to fully throttle it and once i finish my ride literally my body shivars😂 All your sayings about this bike directly made me feel mine experience perfectly The best video with the beast is👍👍👆👆💪💪❤❤
