My 2018 resolution was to cut down online shopping (as I only shop online) to a limited one order per month, if needs be. I used to have a couple of orders every week beforehand! AND HONESTLY, it was the most eye-opening, freeing and fulfilling thing I had achieved that year. :) Good luck!

Welcome back and Happy New Year. I had two weeks' holiday from work over the Christmas period and was ill the entire time, I'm still recovering. There's a horrible bug going around. I had a dry 3 months before Christmas and I'm planning to see how long I can stay dry for 2019, so far so good. I'm also doing a no-buy 2019. Again, so far so good. All your renovations will be worth it in the end, just power through! 🍀

I know how you feel. We had a new kitchen put in a few years ago. I was so stressed with all the mess and like you I cannot relax until the home is nice a tidy. Just look forward to the day when the house can get back to normal and think how nice it will be with the new kitchen xx

Missed seeing both of you (all of your four-footed as well), but life happens and assumed that explained the YT absence. Thrift shops have become a great source of recycled fashion here in the states....would you ever do a video to see if you can resource pieces from brick and mortar stores that fit your style?

Love it that you are back Emma! As fot the kitchen-reno, i feel for you. We had our kitchen done some time ago, it took more than a month. A month full of dust, clutter and no normal meals, so....i know! But i’m sure it’s going to be beautiful in the end, can’t wait to see the end-result.

Three years ago we had our only full bathroom gutted and an addition put on the back of the house. We couldn’t shower or take a bath at home for at least two months. It was insane. All that to say, I understand how you’re feeling and you have my sympathies!!

I think any time up until January 31st is still fair game for wishing a Happy New Year, so you're fine in my book. And I agree about presents. I always struggle when family asks for a list. Everything I want is either far too expensive, and therefore I would never ask for it, or is something that can't be physically wrapped and given. I want experiences, memories, something that will last longer than that pair of socks or tube of lipstick. It used to annoy my late grandmother, who would insist on buying me something because she loved the whole seeing someone's face when they unwrapped a present.

Our appliances have all died too! Kitchen reno happening here too- chaotic but fun ! We having appliances in our dining room and electrical boxes, washer/dryer, rugs, chairs etc in our living room. The basement is full. Our cattledog/rat terrier cross thinks the sky is falling !Wish I could send you pictures....then you wouldn't feel so bad coz misery loves company ! Remodeling can be super stressful, but you will be so happy when it’s done!! The mess would make me crazy too, but try to remember this is just a brief moment in time and soon it will be a distant memory (easier said than done, I know).

Maybe you would consider doing a video using inspiration outfit photos from the internet and then “shopping your closet” to create the look yourself. I’ve started doing that this past year and have found it very satisfying and successful as well as a money save using things I already have😀
