A short film on the benefits of performing your own motorcycle maintenance. When I purchased my first motorcycle six years ago, I had no mechanical experience. I have since performed all of the maintenance (valve adjustment, fork oil change, oil changes, brake pads/fluid, tire changes, etc.) and made upgrades (indicators, rear fender, headlight lowering, etc) to my Triumph Bonneville - all thanks to the Haynes Owner's Manual and the University of Trial & Error.

@@gokulkrishm51 i am thinking of buying RE continental GT 650. I haven't ever rode a RE but i will try out and buy if i like it.

@@tanujmehta6505 Oh cool! I've had the chance to try both. Very good bikes! Here's my take. (Don't know if you want my verdict) If you're focusing more on long tours, get the Interceptor. Or your interest is more towards evening rides or Sunday trips, the GT will do :) Good luck :D

Just finished an oil and filter change, few things in life are better than a job done well. Second time around, and it was more straight forward and far quicker with the right tools and manual. There is nothing to fear working on your bike, invest in good tools, buy a manual, take your time doing the task, build yourself up with easier jobs and reap the benefits

My Dad shares the same opinion. (The watches part too) He taught me the basics. I've done two oil changes on our '16 Royal Enfield 350. The satisfaction is unparalleled to a dealership service. That tail tidy looks cool! Goes very well with such a bike :)

Thanks Gokul! And yes, I love the way the tail tidy looks as well, I just have to figure out a way to prevent the rear tire from throwing mud and water on my back when it is raining... will likely repurpose a small fender or mudguard hidden underneath the license plate.
