I saw someone else on a first and last video say to do the first episode, then whatever the best rated episode of the series is - maybe that’s the season 1 finale, or just some random episode halfway through a random season - and then the final episode of the series. It would add just a little extra chaos, since who knows what that middle episode would end up being, and also giving an idea of what the show looks like at its peak. A lot of the time neither the pilot nor the finale is a good representation of the show as a whole, so the best episode might balance the scales a bit, while also probably being extra confusing. It’d also be kinda funny to see just how long the show went on after its peak.

I think for first and last, when the show is less serious like New Girl or Glee, it's easier to watch a literal first and last episode video because the plot is more or less consistent throughout the show because the plot isn't always the focus. But for shows like The Flash or Supernatural, where plot lines are often wrapped up within a season or so, watching the first and last episode literally causes a large disconnect because the plots are nowhere near connected anymore

i kind of agree with the first and last thing, for some shows it’s funny but other shows - like long running shows like once upon a time, the last season is sometimes a completely different storyline, like season 7 of once upon a time was almost like a different show in a way, so then the first and last thing kind of falls flat

As an OUaT fan I have to agree that the very last episode does not portray how beautifully insane and wacky the show can get, but the finale of each season would have been more indicative of the shows madness. You could make it into a channel series. The 1st and final episodes are watched for 1 or 2 seasons per video. Either way it's more content.

For first and last: I think it’s more about what type of show it is. Shows like American horror story, Bridgerton and ouat have each season being a full show. Therefore the seasons don’t connect as much. However shows like pll, tvd and teen wolf have a set cast that doesn’t change to much and therefore the original format works better. If there is anyway to be able to tell what type of show it will be before making an episode of first and last, it can then be catered to either one season or the entire show.

I’ve always seen the attractiveness of Dylan but something about this video has…escalated that. Like the rings and the refreshed wardrobe? I’m becoming obsessed I fear

Dylan is basically my emotional comfort animal at this point. Whenever I feel like life is getting too much, I go watch his videos for a few hours until I’m ready to go out into the world again ❤

I feel like the first and last should be set up like how he has been doing the Bridgerton series. He just watches the first and last episode of each season, but each season is it's own video. I can see it being tedious for longer shows like OUAT and Supernatural, but there are several shows that he has already done that I would love for him to revisit and do in that format.

I think the perfect compromise for the first and last episodes is to choose the most middle season, and watch the finale of that season as well. That way you still have the craziness of jumping far in the story, but also have some added context and potential for “where tf did this character go” when watching the finale

I LOVE the idea of first and last for every season! If Dylan thinks it would take too long to do a whole series (like Supernatural) in one go, then he can do a video per season. Example: A first and last of season 1 Supernatural, and then another video for the second season and so on... Not only we would get the reaction that we want but he will also have more content to react to and maybe even more views!

Instead of doing first and last of each season of supernatural, you could do first and last in five season blocks (i.e. seasons 1-5, 6-10, 11-15) because the show's original story was only supposed to be the first five seasons anyway

Thank you for the laughs today, I really needed it after a bit of a bad day ❤. I was actually about to suggest the same thing about you doing the first and last episodes of each season for tv shows the last time, especially complex omes like Supernatural and OUAT. It would he much more fun and there would be so many more jokes, but sometimes first and last of a series work, maybe if it's a shorter, less complex or Netflix series but I also understand just how much time it would take.

I have always thought the idea of doing First/Last of each season was a way better approach to really show how the show evolves over its entirety; but realistically its only plausible for a show with 4-5 seasons max. That way he s only watching 8-10 episodes. For shows like Supernatural, UOAT, ect. I think it would be great to react to the Pilot, each season finale, then the series finale… every show’s season finale already does a recap intro; and mid-season first episodes really just establish a storyline… i think it would be much more fun for Dylan to be thrown into peak drama each time and make guesses of the finale based off the previous finale or the recap intro. ❤ You Dylan

I know you can't really compare since seasons of bridgerton are almost like separated mini-shows, but it really allowed for closure, like op said ! I had the same feeling with your Vampire Diaries (although the fact that you thought nobody died ended up being really comical) and OUAT videos, so much missed potential, when the videos were already great ! At least watching A season finale before the series finale would be wayyy funnier

I can totally relate to the person whose friend is also a troublemaker. When I was still in high school (that being two months ago) I would sometimes watch your videos, and one day while I was watching one of your videos during class my friend say and was like “is that Dylan?” And I was like “Gasp” and the rest is history. You've done the first and last for bridgerton seasons and I've really like that. Because Bridgerton are such closed stories season by season. I think if the show has +4 or 5 seasons it makes sense for the first and last overal. BUT if its less maybe more season by season. Or. Just like with bridgerton, do one video of the season and then see how it performs, and if it does well then continue with the next, and if not move on. Because knowing you do them makes life wonderful and makes me anticipate future videos. Like, knowing you've done the other bridgerton seasons keeps me excited for how I hope you do the 3rd season thats done now.
