"I will always choose you," is one of the most iconic delena scenes of all time. the truth will always be that damon will save her life no matter what the cost. the lengths he will go to protect the woman he loves is admirable. damon was so smart to come up with the plan to make Klaus think Bonnie "died." damon is the true hero and mvp of this episode.
Tbh, Damon also saved Bonnie's life, because had she not faked her death, Klaus would've kept coming after her over and over again until she really died.
The “I will always choose you” line will always hit. Damon is making it clear that Elena comes first for him and that’s never going to change. Delena shippers were truly winning in that moment
You guys would not believe, the way my ass was bawling my eyes out when I first watched this, I was so naive, I really thought they killed my girl Bonnie off, I was acting just like Zuff, the relief I felt afterwards when she came back to life 😂, Also when Damon and Bonnie had their little moment on the dance floor that’s when I dipped on beremy ( I always thought their ship name was cringe) and jumped on the bamon train.
Bamon is the real deal (for me) I'm always glad when we get to these (and upcoming) episodes and people see the greeeeat natural chemistry these two have. This one epi in particular really was huge back in time to the point it made CW take drastic and uncalled actions after it :/ just bc their chemistry, well. Great watching guys!! She definitely pulled out the dagger because of what Damon said to her, implying that he really doesn't care who he will have to sacrifice to keep her safe. Which I think is pretty clear is the last thing she wants. And after living through what she thought was her best friend's death, she goes to the person that she knows has the highest chance of killing Klaus and probably wouldn't fight as much to keep her alive. I think a lot of people also forget that it really isn't that long since her parents died and she definitely still has some survivor's guilt, so I think at least in the first seasons most of her decisions really make sense at least for her, no matter how people find them annoying.
I see this episode is posted an i scream "yes yes yes, Daddy is coming"😂😂 it's absurd how much I love Klaus. But the anticipation is where the excitement lives
I'm assuming that they had already hired the actor who played real Klaus because Matt Davis had some mannerisms that reminded me of him. Or could be coincidence 🤷♀️

you basically can't question anything when it comes to the plot because everything is plot armor. like how bonnie just "cast a spell" as a way for her to temporarily die
The whole thing was a mess, I wish they hadn't included. Spoilers Spoilers In the originals we see rebecka and kol getting put into witch bodies but they can't do any vampire stuff. There's just so many inconsistencies that it frustrates the hell out of me
I get that some people ship bamon but I never did bc I need the knowledge that the characters are attracted to each other in order to ship a couple, I can’t just think of what-ifs or read into something to make more out of it. Bonnie deserves the best and Damon does nothing for her character. She should never be a second option and he, just like everyone else, always uses her when he needs something. I like who ends up being Bonnie’s partner and it’s the best ship in the whole show for me 🤭
Unlike Stefan who had a friend (lexi) and spent over a century since he was turned, coming to terms with his humanity, learning to allow himself feel his emotions and therefore feel human allowing him to respect human life more, Damon spent over a century since he became a vampire basically as the complete opposite not only suppressing and turning off his heightened emotions that are supposed to connect him to his humanity, but he was also doing things that he believed vampires and therefore monsters should do because he wasn't human and he was doing it alone. the people he eventually met along the way, were people who taught him how to feed and kill even more. so when he comes into mystic falls being who he has been for decades and who he is now ( a monster), and Elena, a human, who has every right to hate him after all he's done to her and her friends, not only sees good and humanity in him that he himself and everyone else he's met up until that point believes doesn't exist inside him anymore but she also acknowledges his pain he tries to hide despite what he's done, its not a surprise that he falls in love with her AT ALL. even if she doesn't feel the same way. now you can say that the writers could have given that aspect to bonnie so that it is bonnie that he falls in love with and ill agree with you. i think ian and kat have so much chemistry same with he and nina and I think if bamon was a major ship it would have changed the entire dynamic of the show.
Your guys reaction to this episode was so funny. You guys were like all of us, confused and wanting more explanation about Bonnie. Still Bonnie is the best character of the entire show.
Bonnie has the power of 100 witches but she still has a mortal body, meaning all that power has to be too much. That’s why I always assumed she started bleeding when she went too heavy on the magic. I think she strengthens over time and practice, but there still has to be some kind of balance to the power she can and cannot have.
5 minutes in and Elena has not only told Damon "well I'm the new owner of your family home and you'll behave how I want you to" she then encourages Bonnie to go to the dance with her knowing Stefan will have to come to protect her. She was more like Katherine than she knew, way before she thought she was becoming like her.
Whenever I go back to watch TVD I always get confused how Klaus be able to compelled even though other character in the near future don't have there abilities when they passenger themselves into someone's body
