so I told u I would keep u updated on how the miconazole 7 works,first let me say,I did the big chop,because my seborrheic issues has damage my hair badly,so the way how I use the miconazole wasss kinda different,I bought two tubes of miconazole 7,a small bottle of neem oil,tea tree oil,and olive oil,I then mix everything together in a small container and use it on my scalp every night and let me say this my scalp was clean within 3 days,no more itch,sores,uncomfortable feeling,I felt like myself again,I also use on my son and husband and it works for them,we are happy and thank you very much for this tip because I was getting depressed over this,I am soo happyyy...😚😚😚😚😚😚.

Is this still working for you (I'm replying 10 months later)? I'm so self conscious...mine is SO bad. It's has to be something I'm eating. I've made the decision to go natural because this relaxer has got to be making it worse plus I have balding spots. Sigh!
@feefee2
@feefee2 6 лет назад
Shaquana Lamar mine actually got worse when I went natural but it was because I started using sulfate free shampoo which was leaving buildup on my scalp. I hear apple.cider vinegar (diluted) helps but I am.just preparing to test it. I have been using.sulfur 8 grease on my scalp which works but need something that won't clog pores

Seborrheic Dermatitis. After years of using Cloderm Cream (steroid) on my face I was doing some work for a very nice lady that used to work for a dermatologist, she told me to “Never use a steroid based cream on your face, it thins out your skin” then she told me something I thought was absolutely crazy, she told me to wash my face with Head and Shoulders shampoo and also to go on line and order Aquanil Lotion with 1% Hydrocortisone, I did that and now I have no more redness, no more flakes, no more itching! after all these years of suffering with Seborrheic Dermatitis i finally have relief.
@johng5261
@johng5261 4 года назад
@Noodelzz Hydrocortisone on the face is considered safe. For very powerful steroids, they can thin the skin out and should only be used for like a week at a time. Still though you want to fix the yeast problem first.

I tried miconazole almost 10 yrs ago and still have absolutely no flakes and a healthy scalp even though I haven't used it in like 9 or more yrs. I used it for a yr straight back in 07/08 for growth never expecting it to work for my lifelong dandruff problem but it did and I had horrible dandruff. Now my scalp is actually oily instead of dry and it's been that way ever since no matter what I do to it.

BronxJazzy hi! Ive just ordered it. Can you please share how u used it? Cause she said she used it 7 days. Do you have to wash it out every morning? U said you have used it for a year. I dont think u washer it out every morning?? Thanks in advance!
@BronxJazzy
@BronxJazzy 6 лет назад
I applied it the same way you would when greasing your scalp, and washed my hair on my norm schedule of once a wk. I also applied it every day but you may not have to. I would suggest doing it at least every other day though in the beg until you notice your scalp is clear and producing oils regularly then you can cut it down to once a wk after wash day or get rid of it all together. You do want to keep it on your scalp though so I wouldn't suggest washing everyday.
@raess2510
@raess2510 6 лет назад
BronxJazzy Thankyou SO much for your replay. I think i will begin with using it daily since its been so bad for a month now. I also wash my hair once a week. Wouldnt the creme leave my hair greesy tho? If i use it daily... thats my only concern haha... dont wanna show up to work with greasy hair. Excuse my english.. not my first language
@BronxJazzy
@BronxJazzy 6 лет назад
Your english is great. Wouldn't have guessed it wasn't your native language. I have fine hair and didn't notice any greasiness at all. I also didn't use too much. Literally just a thin layer on the scalp. It absorbs very quickly so do it at night and by morning you should be fine. If it gets a bit too greasy during the wk you could always bun until your next wash day but I noticed no build up once it absorbed into the skin..

i kept telling people to use monistat. it worked for me for 3 months and then it built a tolerance and started to grow back 10 fold. So i mixed the monistat 2% and 4% to fight back and it didnt work 😣😣 I finally found something that works for me and i been doing it for a YEAR!! Apple cider vinegar mixed with aloe vera juice mixed in with distilled water. I keep my spray bottle mixture in the fridge. OMG THE ONLY THING THAT WORKED AND KEEPS WORKING! not to mention my hair grows fast as a weed! i just spray my scalp every night or 3 times a week and I dont rinse it out. its dry by morning and no lingering smell. The monistat worked for me but sadly... it stopped working after only 3 months. oh yea... and u can eat anything i want..

Temicka Noney ACV with aloe vera makes sense to kill Seborrheic dermatitis. Apple Cider Vinegar and aloe vera clean the blood and help alkalize the body. Plus it is easy to use, just blend the two together, I'm not use why you add water, unless you want a thinner mix to be able to Spritz from a spray bottle. Could even add a few drops of lavender essential oil if wanted.

I appreciate all your videos on this topic. I've been dealing with this for 5 years now. I had to stop relaxing my hair and shaved off all my hair so I could wash it regularly. When my hair started growing back, I used a medicated shampoo but when I got pregnant with my son I stopped using it. I used coconut oil and it helped then about a year later it stopped working. After that,I bought a shampoo with apple cider vinegar and peppermint oil that helped a lot but I'm out and can't remember the vender cause I bought it at a natural hair show. Another thing that helped was an antiseptic. This time last year I was having a bad flare up- went to the hairdresser and she took her time to shampoo my hai, get out the flakes and let me sit with antiseptic on my scalp, then washed it out and blew out the remaining flakes. That helped tremendously. Now I'm pregnant again and experiencing the worst flare up yet. I got some antiseptic from my hairdresser today. I'm going to try the cream as well. Any suggestions for tackling the scales at the side of your nose and on forehead.

lacewigdesigner get you some organic apple cider vinegar. Braggs is the brand I use. I spray it on my hair scalp. Leave it on over night. And shampoo it out in the morning. Use ACV as an astringent. Think: I gotta kill the fungus. The ACV makes an environment the yeast can't survive. Don't give it anything to eat!

So, unfortunately the miconazole 7 did not work for me. I greased my scalp like you did with it and massaged it in. After the 3rd day my scalp inflamed. That brought me to study my scalp. I'm starting it off with washing my hair with water only. I wash it with warm water, massage my scalp and scrub my scalp with just my figure tips then I "ceil" it with cold water and dry it on cool with my full head blow dryer and.... we're getting somewhere lol My scalp loves the cold and doesnt lime heat for some reason. My scalp hasn't been inflamed for awhile so maybe it just needs to be clear and left alone. Still learning. Anywho. thanks again. for everything. -Renee

Yup! Warm water feeds yeast! So cooler water works! Also see if you find your food triggers. No tomatoes in my diet and I haven't had any flares!!!!! So for me it's a 4 step process I went through: 1. Products 2. Diet 3. Stress 4. Kill the yeast on my scalp another tip is to clean your brushes and combs weekly to make sure you don't reintroduce the yeast through your hair care tools ❤️

may I ask where you loosing any extra hair ? I'm wondering if the dermatitis / yeast overgrowth is something that goes along with a possible dermox mite infestation ?? I believe they seem to go a bit hand in hand. if you never lost any hair then just yeast overgrowth but if u did ( like I am) it could be mites too and it's not really possible to see them as microscopic. weirdly enough I had same idea as you ( using the cream) and it stoped the itching but not the hair loss . I'm trying apple cider vinegar tee tree etc to see if they help and tg more vitamins etc

gina2190 so sorry you're still having troubles!!! I'm telling you it was such a process. Took me nearly a year to get sorted!!! Hello! I have been recently diagnosed with SD over the summer. I experienced a lot of hair loss prior to the diagnosis. I used the prescribed shampoo and oil and my hair was starting to grow back, but now I'm having another bout of itchiness and hair loss in the crown and nape. What are some tips for someone newly diagnosed? Should I quit with these prescribed products? I'm noticing it might be a seasonal thing too! Have you noticed more or less flakes depending on weather and season?
@farasuesgarden7252
@farasuesgarden7252 6 лет назад
sheypiglet I will recommend that you get patch testing. You can start with the 35 or go straight to the 80! I’m telling you... I am allergic to EVERYTHING!!! Specifically preservatives!!! If you’re not able to do patch testing...then do the process of elimination. It can take a full 4-6 weeks to clear up a flare up. So it takes lots of patience BUT I definitely suggest you continued the doctor orders. But also work toward finding your triggers, monitoring your diet and if there are any triggers there. Internal and external triggers. I hope you can figure out quicker that I did!!! And please do keep me posted 🙏🏽

Jana have you seen a dermatologist at all? My shampoo and conditioner choices are kinda taboo!!! I'm okay with this because I have to do what works for my scalp and hair!!! I'm using TréSemme Moisture Rich and Vo5 Kiwi Lime Squeeze Clarifying Shampoo. It really gets through any product, sebum, and skin build up on my scalp. THEN I'm using my sulfate free shampoo from Farasue's Garden followed by moisturizing conditioner. I'm cleansing every 4 days AT LEAST. I HAD to increase my wash day schedule. After the 4th day my scalp and moisture levels in my hair get out of sync. My hair and scalp are SO happy like this. I'm using less product AND have healthier hair. It's a win:win situation. I'm hoping you can resolve your scalp issues. I tracked everything on a little pocket calendar I got from the bank for free. I'm able to see and go back to reference what's working and what's not working. Products that I've tried. Loved/Hated. Worth the effort. I promise 😇

Jana I kept track of what I was eating and what products I was triggering my scalp to flare. Cinnamon, dairy, Chick-fil-A nuggets, chocolates, coconut/coconut oil (its in EVERYTHING) so I had to become a really dedicated labels reader. Certain preservatives trigger my scalp. So I avoid most stylers. If you watch my videos I reveal what I'm using as I find out real time what's working for me. I can't use EcoStyler of any kind but XTReme Gel (super cheap) is the best for me!!! I read the labels and stay away from vegetable glycerin because it's usually coconut derived. And as few ingredients as possible if I can help it. I hope this helps. I'm a recovering product junkie. But figuring out what I CAN use has helped me SO MUCH!!! If I can't use something I bought, I give it to my cousin in college to use/share with her friends. Getting rid of it all together gets rid of the temptation to just try it again 😇

Hi! I have to say "it depends" the oils DO clear your scalp, BUT it will come back. Because it doesn't kill the yeast. I still use oils but I also use the cream to kill the yeast.

thank you. I'm gonna try it. also what is a good hair moisturizer for seb derm? and do u wash the cream off. and is tea tree oil good to mix with it cause I know oil feeds the yeast. IDK I just know my hair is brittle from this :( but one thing I will say mines goes away on its but when it comes back boyyyy does it itch lol and scratching looks like a snow blizzard lol. I used to scratch so much just because and or pat my head like crazy. I wish I could wear cute hairstyles but the itch kills that SMH. I truly need help tho cause I just found out I have it and I'm devastated cause like I said earlier my hair is brittle as hell. I scratch so much I scratch my hair thin on my right side and hairline. please help, thank you :)

You'll need to identify your food triggers. I'm having excellent results using NOTHING in the water only hair washing method. It's hard to adjust to no chemicals but I promise you it's worth it. I'm allergic to so many things I don't even know a moisturizer to recommend? I enjoyed the It's a 10 moisturizer when I was using it. But it wasn't good for my scalp. You know??? I cut tomatoes but had to cut ketchup as well. Once you find out your triggers you can have control and scratch less.

Also do you have hard water? You may need a water filter. And you need to drink water daily. And you may need a vitamin supplement. Have you had blood work done lately? Do you eat a balanced diet? Brittle hair is a tell tale sign of a lot of things.

+Farasue's Garden yes all I drink is water. but maybe my water is hard. I just know it can get brittle. this is new to me my boyfriend says I need to take vitamins and Indo have high blood pressure. maybe that can be why. I know my hair is coarse though. this morning I had a panic attack because I was up late tryna watch all these videos n search the net for remedies and I just broke down. I'm so scared to have a flare up cause the itch and snowflakes are so irritating and embarrassing. I'm gonna take your advice though and follow ur routine. my scalp flare ups have not been strong lately just mild thank God. but yes I really had a freak out cause I'm like this is gonna be costly and I'm poor lol. but with God's grace, ur help, and other videos hopefully I can keep my flare ups down for a month or longer. and yes I'm gonna cut out dairy products and tomatoes. it's so stressful cause I eat tomatoes by themselves cut up on a plate yum lol and I love milk and cheese. everything I cook has milk n cheese n it. but I know I can find organic natural dairy substitutes. but tomatoes 😢. I gotta complete this journey for me n my God daughter cause she has bad psoriasis. thank you bookie for ur response. 💜💋

Hello I am also going through the same thing with the seborrheic dermatitis and I have been doing research and trying to find something that I can use on my hair in place of gel or edge control to keep my hair sleek and in place, the gel and edge control just seems to trigger my SD and it's annoying because I can't do anything with my hair smh. And now I'm about to cut my hair really short because I can't seem to use and products on my hair. So does anyone have any advice on what to use for my hair, my hair is really thick but it's not relaxed either so I can't just wash and brush it back and go lol.

Farasue's Garden my daughter is 17 and heading off to college soon. We are really trying to get a handle on her scalp SD. We’ve seen the dermatologist, but that system just doesn’t work. Now I am just seeking advise but have been so confused on what to do. I’d like to try one clear cut method for a while to see what works. Can you please break down the regiment that has worked for you?? I/we are desperate 😩

@farasuesgarden7252

I apply on clean scalp because I want the cream to have direct access to my scalp. Then I treated it for 7 days just like package directions but to my scalp only. I have to still avoid my trigger foods, stay away from coconut oil and Shea butter in products, avoid stress, drink plenty of water, clean my hair tools, etc........ And all of these things together work to keep my scalp clear.

I'm a caucasian white male with long hair. Not to be racist but will this work on my hair? I'm looking for hair growth. Thickening of hair and dandruff controller. I have long healthy hair. However I am just coming out of the worst depression/anxiety/depersonalization imaginable for 11 months straight. I lost a lot of hair due to deathly stress. Let me know. Also do you apply this straight to your hair or do you use carrier oils? The reason I ask about using this on white people is because I do not see one white person making a video on this. Strange no?
@amberw7494
@amberw7494 5 лет назад
It may work because seborrheic dermatitis is just an overgrowth of yeast (fungus) that’s naturally in our skin so Miconazole works as an anti fungal treatment. The only thing that may be an issue for you is the fact that it’s an ointment. White hair tends to get greasy quickly so you’ll be dandruff free but greasy so I wouldn’t suggest a carrier oil. If at all possible I would go to a dermatologist because there are other scalp treatments (Ciclopirox shampoo and fluocinonide drops will clear it up completely if you use them every 3-4 days) that are not as greasy. It’s also suggested that you don’t put any (non medicated) oil on your scalp because that can cause more buildup of the yeast flakes. Treating this can help with hair growth a bit but after periods of intense stress or trauma hair loss can continue for a while. Due to the stages of hair growth it may take a 1-3 months for it to start growing normally again. The good thing is that the recommended treatment t for seborrheic dermatitis involves washing your hair frequently and that’s a lot easier to do with white hair. Ps. Some over the counter shampoos that work nicely are T-Gel and Nizoral AD. I would also suggest trying to keep your hair moisturized (just avoid the scalp) bc these shampoos can be really drying and I don’t want them to break your hair off). God Bless! I’m praying for your mental and physical health!!

Also rinsing your hair in apple cider vinegar is a great at home treatment. I’d try diluting it a bit first to make sure it doesn’t irritate you. Just pour it on your scalp and let it sit there for a few minutes in the shower before rinsing it out and adding conditioner.

@johng5261
@johng5261 4 года назад
@@jeanniejay6809 well what she's using is a azole , same mechanism. Coconut oil and TTO is the favorite natural way these days but there is really no evidence with conclusive studies to say it does anything. Half of coconut oil is Lauric acid which will feed the yeast hence why people opt for MCT oil which at least shows some antifungal benefit. If your seb derm has gotten better, its likely the baby shampoo just removing the sebum and not feeding the yeast, that simple. Nizoral applied for a week straight and allowed to sit on the face while in the shower usually can break even the toughest cases.
@jeanniejay6809
@jeanniejay6809 4 года назад
@@johng5261, i don't know abt the scientific evidence, but now I am free from it. My final treatment was neem leaves, henna and lime. After the pack, i just washed with normal water. Whatever i have fully recovered. I still have my Nizoral, I taught I will use it maybe once a week for maintenance. Tq for your advise
@johng5261
@johng5261 4 года назад
@@jeanniejay6809 outside of something like tea tree oil or MCT oil, science is heavily lacking on anything "natural", most of the time its just people upping the frequency of washing thats making it better. Even with MCT and TTO, etc, nizoral has over 90 percent remission rates. I'm not saying you are doing anything wrong, but sometimes its easy to get caught into a world of its own trying all these things and really not understanding their science based efficiency

liyaah85 I had it on my face too. It got really bad when we went camping over the summer. I kept putting creams, and steroids on it only for it to get worse. I tried to cover it with green correcting concealer , and Make UP only for it to get worse. I was reading an article that said to stop putting stuff on it and get on antibiotics. I didn't end up getting antibiotics because I stopped putting everything on it, no creams,cleansers, steroids, makeup, or anything else. Just hot water, and a clean face scubber to gently exfoliate until it went away. It took over a month or two, but t finally went away and so far it has not flared up again. Hopefully it won't. It was horrible. Made me Even more self conscious than I was due to my scalp. I would ask your dermatologist what they think.
