Don't let men walk all over you but don't be combative. Be modest but not frumpy. Don't be loud but don't be boring. Be interesting but don't be fake. Don't think about if your husband is coming or not but "put yourself out there". God recommended this video to me in a very timely manner, He told me already a while back that He is preparing me for my husband, and today when frustrated with the situation He recommended this video to me. It was a great blessing to me. I am sad that you said the video is harmful, I am sad that the person who made the video could have removed it upon seeing your comment and me and so many others wouldn't be blessed by it.

Disagree. For those this video is for, it will cause conviction and true repentance like it did me. I feel empowered by this video. She gave practical advice for me to start working on. It's not painful nor harmful. She's addressing our hearts, not our outward "godly" actions. If you don't feel it applies to you, because you already know you are walking with God and are content in God, then this video is not for you. Your contentment in God isn't going to prompt you to click on this video. Many who this was actually for would have been blessed with this. I pray, for their sake, she keeps this video up.

I have to disagree. There's nothing wrong with praying for a husband. And nothing wrong with what she's advising because both keep you from sinning against God. God wants us to abstain from evil. I can assure you if you don't give God every area of your life the devil finds a way in We can't stand on our own and it's not trivial to pray for marriage

If God decides whether you get married, how do you explain people who get married multiple times? I went to a church with a woman who told me that she divorced her first husband because she just didn't want to be married to him anymore. She said that there was no abuse or infidelity and that he didn't want to get divorced. Then God of course sent her a second x-ian husband (even though the Bible says that if you get married after getting divorced, you're an adulterer). She was considered a strong x-ian woman because she had an x-ian husband, three children with her second husband and a huge house in the nicest neighborhood. Fast forward several years, she's now on her fourth husband, so I guess God has four, five, six, seven husbands timed-out for her. We can make our own choices. God doesn't force people to do what he wants them to do. Another x-ian woman i knew from the church married for the second time at the age of 40 to someone who wasn't an x-ian. She told me that God must not have a husband timed-out for me. When I pointed out that she married someone who wasn't a believer and that the Bible says not to marry someone who isn't an x-ian, it made her angry. X-ians need to believe that God makes their choices for them so they can justify making whatever decisions they want to make. If you ask this woman who posted this video why God rewarded the church woman I knew with a second marriage to an x-ian, three children and a big house after she divorced her first husband, she wouldn't be able to explain why she qualified for the gift of marriage by going against God's will. X-ians are some of the most simple-minded people I've ever met. They always use themselves as examples of wonderful "really living for Christ" "good-enough" x-ians which is how they're able to EARN the blessings from christ.

Just heard the 35 comment and it really hit home for my situation. Its not about the nearly 22 years after revelation it is about trusting in God. You can surrender it all to God, but that doesn't necessarily mean you trust. I want to desire and trust God more not just obey/submit cause as a Christian it is right and knowing God knows best. I don't want to be in a heart space force the posture just to receive the blessing. I need to trust God and seeking to learn it during this season

@@KaimaVixen God is no respecter of persons. He doesn’t promise it to anyone, but we all have free will. Whatever you desire, seek the Lord’s will first. He will grant you the desires of your heart. With that, He will also grant you hope, joy, and spiritual maturity while you wait. Also check yourself. I said your statement to myself all the time but I was also sitting in the house or being unapproachable when in public. Check your standards. Be realistic and be open to love coming in a package that may have been different than your original plan.

The person you choose to marry should thus have an anchor point of love and morality outside of what you offer so your marriage can stay strong even when you are at your weakest. You want someone whose faithfulness to you is not anchored in the shifting sands of circumstance.

Please don't think that God holds your mistakes against you. As long as you have repented, He has cast those things away and doesn't remember them anymore. So, o.p. doesn't have to worry about past sin holding up her destiny. And, if you think I'm lying about the rest, answer me this: are all married people 100% right with God? Are all singles abandoned by God because there's something wrong with them? I think you'll find the answer to both is...NO. Being single doesn't mean there's something wrong and being married doesn't mean everything is right. As for the standard "Christian" answer of "God is working on you", for some people that may very well be true. It's true for me. But, it is something we need to stop throwing around because it creates a feeling that if you're single something must be wrong. And, that's simply not true. God loves us as we are.

This video was to bring light to certain areas that may be overlooked when it comes to maturing. While no one is “perfect” for marriage, there are things that do not align with God’s will, and therefore will prevent him from doing certain things (not just getting a spouse). If you’re familiar with the book of Esther, there was a whole preparation in her life before she met the king. God prepares us for every stage of our life (including marriage). You should check out my part 2 where I speak to certain things that it appears may have been taken out of context.

You can have a marriage without God in the midst. But it won’t be a fruitful marriage. Most of the marriages you see aren’t really God ordained, surprisingly.

Honestly, I don't even know why I'm on this video because I've come to believe that people actually can't tell us why I'm single or why others are not single. I'm starting to believe that alot of these videos are rubbish. What does being "content with God" even mean? Yeah, God should always be the center of my relationship, marriage shouldn't be an idol, but I think alot of times (as well meaning as I guess they are) people don't understand that sometimes it's very dismissive advice (if you want to call it that) "Be content in God" "dont make marriage an idol" "he'll come when you're not looking " ok, but isn't it a paradox? Because I do some of these things still with the intention of meeting someone one day. Still with the intention of getting married and wanting kids. That undermines the purpose of the advice, atleast for me it does. It doesn't help. It's all the more frustrating. The fact of the matter is this: God does what He wants because He wants, we can still desire marriage and still be content in God. Contentment in God is a heart posture, it's knowing not to settle with any old raggedy young man just because he looks as though he might be good to date. It's inviting God in the situation continually so that it He can continue leading you into all truth not just into marriage but also finances, and other relationships. It's following the voice of God despite everything, its knowing that if He is a giver of good and perfect gifts and trusting that even when God says no to something YOU THINK He should say yes to that He is still good and that He knows more than you and has something better for you. I can't explain why people who don't even acknowledge God get into better relationships than Christians who love God with all their lives and give him every area of their lives to speak into and control. But I can say that alot of teaching in the church about this topic is not one size fit all (At least for me) and no, I'm not in a relationship I'm still single, but boy am I content! And I still desire marriage and kids and yes I've put God at the forefront of my life but most importantly I've been freed from alot of these videos etc etc that claim to know why my husband isn't here yet, when in fact they don't. Honestly, neither do I know why he's here yet or when he's coming all I know is that God is good and He didn't delay him because I was too focused on getting a husband because either way content or not if God says he's coming my baby is coming. At the end of the day maybe the reason why a lot of us aren't actually content is because we've been putting our faith in the wrong places and believing in the wrong advice. Where to get the best advice on how to prepare for your husband? The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit ask Him. But as always to each their own 🤷🏽‍♀️

Tajaya Tomlinson It’s interesting you assume that I agree with the points she made in the video. I actually agree with most of what you said. Marriages that aren’t ordained by God may be fruitful from a WORLDY perspective (finances, belongings, looking good from the outside, etc.)...but not from a spiritual one. In the Word, God reminds us not to be envious of the wicked. I agree w/ you on the “be content” advice. I believe that desiring marriage isn’t a bad thing. And you can definitely pursue God while hoping to get married at the same time. And like you said, as long as it’s not an idol. What we should do really is just trust God and be patient. It’s hard to just “be content.” We’re human - we’re going to have hopes and desires...and we aren’t going to be 100% content and happy UNTIL we are in the kingdom. I don’t know your situation, but I feel you though, sometimes it’s hard to trust him. Although I’m young, I worry I will grow old alone - but I have to trust Him and remember that the kingdom is so much more than anything this life could offer. Shalom, and have a blessed day.

@@deebestest100 everything was fitted and showing. I would wear tights and a blouse but front and back and breast will be showing. Now I still do struggle with dressing but I wear more dresses or I ask God if it's okay to wear certain clothing

I start with Songs! Listen to Kurt Carr, Fred Hammond they have a lot of scripture in their songs. It’s so rejoicing. Songs convict me because it is relatable situationally if you don’t understand the scriptures yet. Then slowly gravitate to the Bible. Sarah Jakes Roberts follow her. You will get insight and be so renewed. You can feel the spirit. God will direct you. I have been where you are and I’m still building my relationship with him. It doesn’t matter how many scriptures you know, it doesn’t make you that much more connected to God! God Bless you!

I started with just praying to God, being really honest about my pain/troubles and asking for guidance, comfort, and a renewed heart (to open up to being able to love and trust Him and other people). Also, the plans from the Bible app have been really helpful for me. I like having some context to the scriptures. Between prayer and study, I feel my relationship with God is improving and I pray the same for you! The last piece that I'd recommend is finding Godly community, not just people who know the word but also people who follow it. Transformation Church through it's online activity has been great for me. It was hard because I also feel like I expect disappointment and pain from people. But, our great commission is to love God and then other people as our selves. It's been a long road, I'm still learning, but I believe the Lord will give you the strength to heal and give you more love than anyone could provide. He will make your heart new and overflowing with peace and joy. That's my prayer for you sister❤ And, sorry for the book ;)

@@nicolelise Marriage is based mostly on free will. Most Christian marriages are not God telling them 'this is your spouse '. Too many Christians going overboard with that. It isn't THAT common... God doesn't force us to do anything. We have free will. And this includes marriage. I believe he sometimes present/have someone cross your path that could be your spouse. But ultimately, it's up to the two people whether they marry or not. Free will... Also will add, alot of the church is on 2nd and 3rd marriages with living 1st spouses. This is adultery. God did not bring these unions together. These divorced and remarried Christians excersized their free will. They did not hear from the Lord. Same for lukewarm Christians. Jesus in Matthew 19 talks about eunuchs. How some were born that way, made that way with men and some chose it for kingdom purposes. I believe in the context of that chapter, he's talking about singleness and marriage.

I believe God could have two people cross paths and present them as an option. (He did this with Adam. God didn't tell Adam this is your wife. Adam called Eve his wife) But he's not forcing marriage. It's the free will of those two people to decide. The multiple spouses for some Christians but no spouse for others isn't God's character. That would be him showing respect of persons. Which contradicts his word. Christians on 2nd and 3rd marriages with living 1st spouse, are in adultery. So God didn't ordain any of it. People chose their free will.

@Love 23Amazed marriage is a ministry. We serve God through marriage by being a reflection of Christ and His sacrificial love for the church. Anyone in a God honoring Christian marriage where Christ is the head is serving God by default.

Thank you ! 😊 I am in the process of healing from things done in the past so I recognize I need to be whole before getting married. I'm almost 45. Never been married no children. I got saved in my late 20s but started my intimacy with Jesus several years afterward . But I know several women who are on fire for Jesus, have been flowing in their giftings for years, but still single and they are older than me. So I'm not sure if the part you aren't married because you havent put God first and aren't content yet applies to all women. I think some of it is God's timing. Maybe we need more training for our purpose. Or what if the godly man isn't ready for us?
