5:04 I can't stress how important this point is enough. Ever since I realized that some days just won't be good, I immediately found myself improving much faster, and actually enjoying playing extreme demons as well as improved mental health while playing. Whenever I'm playing terrible, I just stop playing for the day since the next day is usually much better.

That's exactly one of the best aspects of GD: you can play it how you want and what levels you want. Just play so that you have fun with it!

I'd like to add that you should totally set yourself mini-goals when playing a level, beating the level itself should be the main goal, but have mini goals to try and achieve to not get super mad. I'll use Bloodlust as an example: Get to the extension atleast once; Pass namtar for the first time; consistently pass the first ship, completing those mini-goals that I have in the back of my mind while still trying to beat the level really motivates me and doesn't make me feel like I've achieved absolutely nothing that session. It will avoid rage and potential mind blocks. (Especially helps when just starting an extreme!)

Another thing that's super useful for me, listen to your clicks! It helps SO much with more complicated click pattern based levels :)

I went for Cataclysm on 60hz while only having cleared 4 insane demons. It took me a solid 5 months and 80k attempts, I thought it wouldn't be that big of a jump but I wouldn't say it's worth spending time and brain cells for it

The reason I decided to jump to cata is I couldn't progress at anything around hard demon difficulty, so I just said "fuck it, if I'm gonna not progress I'm gonna not progress on something cooler" and now I have 71% 90k attempts in. Idk what it is I can just play cataclysm infinitely.

7:11 is really important, yesterday I beat my hardest level, bang gang (it’s a 2p extreme demon that I beat solo) and 55-61 is by far the hardest part of the level, with most people dying there dozens of times before beating it, and the reason why is because people will do 55-100 and start going from zero right after, but I recognized how hard it was so I practiced the hell out of it, doing 55-100x7, 52-100, 44-100, 32-100, and I ended up only dying to 55-61 3 times (which is insanely low) so yes, practice the hell out of chokepoints

this is exactly what I needed my goal was 1000 stars but now im confident to get 10000

Cool video! I personally can't play a level for over 1:30 unless i force myself to. I've probably only played a single for over 2 hours at a time less than 10 times.

My current hardest is Nine circles, followed by Reanimation, all on my regular refresh rate (144hz I think) I'm currently making progress on GD10 and Future Funk as well, wish me luck forwards, I want to reach great heights! My best achievement so far would probably be a 35 attempt practice run on ICDX and the second half of Conical Depression :^)

Hey, i came to say thank you because thanks to these tips i managed to beat Toe 2, which i was struggling so hard to the point of getting locked in the 15% ship. After seeing this video, i quickly got better and it was a matter of hours until i finally beated it.

I honestly agree that moderate jumps are the best way to improve, I got lucky when I decided completely on my own that I just didn’t want to sit there and waste my time beating a bunch of levels of each difficulty, so I did very few demons of each difficulty, and only one hard and insane demon before an extreme, and I’ve gotten much better at the game from this

I beat Bloodbath and still feel like I am jumping every time I play an extreme, even if it's easier

I recently decided to jump from DeCode to Sonic Wave, and while I have only really started progress yesterday, I've already started improving by following these exact tips on my own! While yes, jumping CAN be really difficult, im feeling really confident I can do it! And I've also made quite some progress on the level, mostly the last sections- But I just really like the level overall and I want to beat it, despite it's difficulty. And, then again, I DID get 94% on Nine Circles, so I did get to improve my skills quite a bit before going for SW. Wish me luck, everyone!

This is acually very acurate I have had mind blocks trying to beat the easy demon "pp" and there is 1 video game looking section with just wave and ufo, and i didnt think i could consistantly do it for a while. Also my final goal is to beat storming summit, so i made a plan for that. Than for the info helix!

GD is like trying to destroy an almost indestructible with punches and kicks, one day you get there, just need to grind

I get mindblocks a lot, my motivation for levels even on my skill level tends to die a lot, especially when I get a good run, and die within it from 0. Its hard

I am very good at specific skills, but am unable to complete full levels. My hardest is imo EBB, which I believe is a medium demon. I have significant progress on lots of levels like, Droppy, Windy Landscape, Spacelocked, Hate Everything(hard demon), Flat Major, Crazy, and Crazy II. I recently decided to just sit down and grind out Crazy III. I'm now just over 2 days into the grind and almost got a 40-100 run. I think what I needed was to just have a little more patience, as well as doing something a little harder than I was doing. I get bored really quickly with levels that I frequently die far into very quickly. So I chose Crazy III. Something that will present a consistent challenge that won't get too repetitive.

I think im good to go I currently have zbot and cbot downloaded i think i will be able to be like spaceuk😁😁😁

While I was playing Acu for a new hardest, I was looking for other, harder, extreme demons that I considered jumping at. And I also was practising them, but definitely not as much as Acu. The hardest level choice was Balengu Vortex back then. After I beat Acu, I somehow unlocked ultra instinct mode and considered jumping at a list demon. First choice might've not been the best (it was SUPERHATEMEWORLD), but after looking for some of the hardest extremes, the most enjoyable one is Promethean and I'm still playing it occasionally. Now I want to make a jump from Acu to Promethean.

Im currently improving myself, beating a insane demon is hard than i think (jump from Reanimation), thank you for making this video

I really love 3 of the levels I'm going to name right now, and that's why I'm jumping to them: My completion board is: Completed RN: Acu, Azurite, Cataclysm To-be completed (first to last): Bloodbath, Unknown, Poocubed, Tidal wave. This might seem like an impossible task but it's possible if I don't give up and spend so much of my time and skill on the levels ! GL to everybody !

I jumped from fire temple to acu. I havent completed acu yet, but i have gotten to 76% 3 times and did a 53-100 run. What i found out is you need to find a level that fits your playstyle if you want to jump. What i mean with finding a level that fits your playstyle is that you need to find a level thats fun to you and has gameplay thats easy for you. For example, i find bloodbath much more fun and easier than cataclysm. You can also just learn how to play all gameplay styles properly, but thats if you want to progress consistently.

that helped me I jumped from practicing map pack demons from extreme demons on the list(current hardest: Tartarus)

i jumped from change of scene to windy landscape in practice

I jumped from toe2 to magma bound and now I’m going for arcane on mobile but I think it was a good decision because I have fun completing them

Something that really works for me is grind a lot of easy demons, because of that I was able to jump from Easy Demon to Hard Demon.

So it's not out yet that's pretty cool you got to actually see this before it's actually out not seeing the video but you see the thumbnail only from my timers 2 hours left until the video will be released

I've been trying to jump to Congregation from Bloodbath. My motivation? It would be funny. I'm about 7K attempts in, I've mostly learned the level, but I think I'll probably spend about 10K more attempts just grinding out the different parts until I get consistent enough to go from zero. It's not at all easy, but I have faith so far. Currently I believe I have the level in 6 runs.

I feel like im a lot better at the game than I was like 8 months ago, but at the same time I’ve only gone from allegiance to acropolix in that time. I can very consistently do 52-100 and get into the mid 40s on Erebus and do some really good runs on congregation. Basically my skill level is higher than my current hardest by a lot

I'm playing on 60fps (vsync off) and sometimes 144hz (on) with up arrow, my goal is to be a better player of course, i'm starting to play extreme demons, my first was dark odyssey, yea ez one, however i went to cataclysm (40%) and deception dive (47%), hopefully i can up my skill

I think I'm very capable of going far, my hardest is 8o and I'm trying to beat Proteus as my first extreme. And I genuinely think I can beat it, yeah its bit harder than other stuff I usually play but I just feel that I'm consistent with it. But the thing that is blocking me from playing is that I get bored from playing one level for more than about 4k att. I simply lose interest in playing the level even tho I perfectly know I'm 100% capable of beating it. The most it has taken me to beat a level is about 3.5k att. So I have no idea how to overcome that.

I was playing on 60hz and my hardest was an insane demon then i tried 120hz and i was like 2 times better. The key is frames, more frames = better

If I went from fairy dust to poltergeist, poltergeist to cata and cata to bloodbath what would you recommend beating g next.( I have beaten fairy dust and poltergeist and have 50 on cata and beating bloodbath after)

I don't know if this is just for me but I like playing easier levels first just to get my head in the game and then I start playing the level I want to beat.

I'm playing ona phone that forces me to play LDM and still lags on most levels with decorations so I usually have to go for levels that are ok for phones while bot having too much fps, I also think that the physics in my game can sometimes change throughout how much I've played that day (At start it feels like the moon and after that it's normal than goes a bit faster) but there's also the fact my phone can sometimes just not take an input OR continue it without me wanting to, sometimes just continuously jumping while i'm not touching the screen

i jumped from windy landscape to bloodbath and currently have over 9k attempts and 32% with a 52-100% run should i put bb on the backburner or should i just stick with it

the highest "jump" i did was from clubstep to problematic, and problematic managed to take 8539 attempts to beat, not worth jumping

Is it bad that I went from casualy playing the game and struggling with nine circles to grinding the game nonstop for a few weeks and then being able to beat extreme demons just a month after my first hard demon

My biggest issue is that I am shit at wave. I can quite easily get runs on levels with most gamemodes, but with wave I just can't. My solution is to just ignore wave levels, unfortunately that means if I want to beat a top 1 difficulty level I will either have to wait for something or verify it myself.

tbf, half of the reason why people suck is that they're not playing the level slow at first. it's the same way people learn an instrument, or better yet, a bunch of rhythm games. play a section slow enough that you can beat it basically every attempt, then slowly speed it up until you can't beat it every attempt, then practice it again to the point that you can again. oh also, make sure you have classic mode turned on so it has the same refresh rate as if it was being played at 100%

But how can I get better on mobile? My hardest is Acropolis or Acu, going for Azurite.

Right now i am jumping from FFFFFF to blade of justice i have 30-100 and 37-93 i love every end so i will beat it after the only thing stopping me would be my endurance, and it seems like an amazing challenge

Yeah playing this game is super demotivating because I struggled on and off for months on Future Funk and my highest is only 91% where I constantly see thousands of comments saying "Yeah I jumped from Magmatic Sanctuary to Acu, it was pretty easy lol". I seriously just dont have the mental strength to do this shit lmao, I get all shaky and nervous if I even make it a little bit far. Also, I feel like I would be good at the game if my computer didnt run like shit, I play 60 hz but high object levels run more like 20 fps. I was stuck trying to beat Nowise in the Doom gauntlet (currently my hardest), not making very much progress after I had gotten to around 80%, but my computer was running terribly because I was trying to record it with full detail on. I turn off the recording, go LDM, and I beat it first attempt. I also just remembered the time I was trying to beat HeLL, I was practicing and doing super well, got like 74%, started making no progress, stagnated, had a genuine mental breakdown, came back to the game months later and beat the level in like 6 minutes.
