I really don’t want them to remake them because it’s perfect the way it is

The Lego Ninjago theme for Legolas jumping up the falling stones would have made that movie top tier. Honestly adding the Leo Ninjago theme to anything would make it better

Small correction, LOTR definitely uses CGI, but they use it for the right reason: to improve details of already great practical effects. The Hobbit uses *only* CGI for wayy too many scenes

I did this after a month of burnout from LOTR after watching Fellowship for the first time about a few months before. What am I gonna do after Return of the King? The animated one? The Hobbit?

in ROTK the scene where Legolas mounts the Mumakill (Oliphant) and takes it down like Luke Skywalker in Empire Strikes Back... in the theater I thought it looked very cartoony. on a small screen CRT with the Extended Edition DVD it wasn't so bad, but watching the Blu-Ray EE on an HD tv it once again looked just as silly as I remember in the theater. it stuck out like a sore thumb, and unlike the Matrix Reloaded, I couldn't fall back on the idea that they are cheating at video games inside the machine world. "magic vision." they could re-do that scene today and it would look much more realistic (compare to the best CGI in the Hobbit) but yes, otherwise 100% agree, the best stuff in LOTR trilogy were practical and CGI was only used when necessary (to mixed results of course in a few cases... people accepted Golum because he was so weird and they spent the most time trying to make him seem real).

To be honest though the music for both are really good

i would add one scene which is in the book though with realistic deepfake or something of saramaun attacking hobbition like in the book. I think they could add those scenes into the original and dvds and then maybe premire the movies with the book scenes

I agree! LOTR is unbeatable! I really hope they don't remake the trilogy. But if i'm being honest I thought everyone liked Rings of power, I didn't think it was bad and I think desolation of Smaug is the best hobbit movie. Sorry about my bad opinions

Totally agree, you cannot remake LOTR. They're way better off launching a Silmarillion Cinematic Universe or something. Also Jedwerd, Top Gun Maverick is riddled with CGI, they just didn't overuse it like the Hobbit, they used it how CGI is meant to be used, sparingly. Great video Jedwerd!

I believe in remakes (if there’s talented people involved) but that’s if there’s another way to tell the story. Like with Batman and James Bond but I don’t see anything new to do with this story.

Is one of the few trilogies i know where the third chapter is the best. I like the hobbit movies, it was never gonna be on the level of lord of the rings, the book wasn't on the level of the others.

I agree that The Hobbit had too much cgi looking like a Ps5 game, but it’s not as bad as the sequels!

What do you mean by Legolas ain't a main charatcer, they go to riverdell and he is in the book everywhere, I have the original hobbit countless times. If you want to say it that way then The Lord of the Rings have way more messups in the movie.

Lord of the Rings was horrible, i was simply not dropping it because i thought, at least im gonna see Sauron in the last film... Hobbit is leagues above Lord of the Rings realistically. I dont see argument for LOTR. There was literally NO pay off in that trilogy what so ever. I think most people wouldnt even like it watching it again without nostalgia, but i still want to read the books sometime because no shot the books are so badly written
