You give the clearest explanation on why something is wrong and not just saying this is wrong. Like all good teaching its the messenger not the message that counts
Brilliant lesson thanks , just tried that fast hip movement left , seems to bring the club straight down and through almost effortlessly . Can the hip turn be too quick ?
Great to hear you liked the video Greg! Definitely, the hips can be too quick. Usually something most golfers don’t need to worry about all too much, as most golfers aren’t fast enough with the hips 👍🏼
What do you reckon to the new mat😜just wandering where it’s from . I need something in the garden simalar to your set up . Thanks for the videos , I watch them all. Cheers
Is it fair to say that a square front foot also can lead to early extension? Where the momentum of hip clearance hits a "stop" due to foot position, and this momentum has to go somewhere, into extension?
I think you’ve left out THE MOST COMMON REASON. Most people lack mobility and flexibility required to do a proper hip rotation. Every golfer/person needs to stretch their entire body for the purpose of gaining tons of flexibility/mobility. 1. If a persons upper body is not flexible enough then they will not be able to properly turn. 2. Their backswing may be so short that their hips have to rip super fast, which no one can really train you to do (miserable) 3. If your hips lack mobility they will get stuck. The more limber you are the more speed you can generate and the better technique you have the ability to learn. Nobody teaches this which leaves MANY in the dust and backs become injured as well.
