dog hahah ahh man. It can definitely get overwhelming at times. But you get used to it. The hard part is that it feels like it goes too fast at times. But by the second or third time you read the lecture slides it makes sense

Jason Voorhees i have struggle on this too, if i'll buy the microsoft Surface go or an ipad. But they say if u want some more of laptop then surface go is better, but if if u want more tablet thing, Ipad is better
@@hashbalas4973 I think whether you want tablet or laptop its better to buy a surface. You have office there and a tiny laptop in your hands. The tablet is inferior in every aspect compared to the Laptop or pc. Except of the ability for touchscreen and being able to carry it around. And with the surface you've fixed the problem , you've got the great things about the Tablet + the laptop. Its your choice , but for studying , I'd never use anything but Microsoft. It also has to do with your specializing and what you're studying.

I've just bought the ipad pro 128gb and im still hesitating if I should return it and buy the ipad air 4 256gb... I'm in med school so i will use it just for note taking, lectures, lots of books and pdfs... Should i stay with the pro 128gb (is enough?) or should I buy the Ipad air 4 256 gb?? The only thing that concerns me is the storage. Is 128gb enough for just medical school stuff or do I need more than that??
Hi Nora, so sorry for the delay. I was taking my step 2 exam. so to put it simply. you can do just fine with 128gbs. it will be enough. if youre using it solely for school, it should be enough. i got the 256gb version because i knew i would be using it for more than just school, for example i used it to record youtube videos, edit them, and what not, on top of everything else for school. i am almost full now in my 4th year of med school, but again i could easily clear up 100gbs of non-medschool related stuff. just keep an eye out for your imessages, because that storage size will start adding up over time, for example, its taking up 40gb on my ipad right now. and same with photos. if you want peace of mind, and especially if you were already going to go with the 11" inch ipad pro, then maybe switching to the new ipad air with 256gb storage is not a bad idea. long story short, you should be okay as it is now. but you wont lose any crazy good features by getting the ipad air 4. so if you want peace of mind knowing you wont have to rely on icloud storage or anything like that, go ahead and switch. hope this helps
Is the iPad really worth it if you plan to study off of premade Anki decks (Zanki, LY, Bros), sketchy and UFAP? I will only be using lecture streams/powerpoints to pull key concepts to make sure I am preparing for exams

Yeah man. You get the practice questions from the professors. They post it to your course website. And no the tests look at little different. But for the most part similar enough, multiple choice questions. All you need are the lecture slides

yeah are you talking about the new 2019 one? yeah as long as you think 10.5" inches is big enough for you. things might be a little crammed when split screening, but if you like smaller devices thats fine. and it has apple Pencil support so i would 100% recommend getting the apple pencil. i know there are 3rd party brands out there now for stylus, but just stick with apple on this one. i am personally happy i got the biggest ipad possible, the 12.9"... it seems crazy at first to get something so big. but i have never regret that decision, i think it would be harder to do it with anything smaller.

I have an android phone and a Dell laptop. I'm looking for a tablet to take notes on since my laptop is so heavy to carry around to every class. Is it dumb to get an iPad if I'm not an apple user? Or should I just stick to finding a tablet that's a non-apple product?
Nope. Not at all. Getting an iPad is totally worth it. Even if it is a stand alone Apple product, with no other compatible devices. I am almost in the same situation. I’ve been an PC user forever, so I have a PC for laptop. And an iPad. The only difference is that I use an iPhone too. If you’re gonna use your iPad solely for studying it’s perfect for exactly that. You don’t need that cross device communication Apple ecosystem in order to fully utilize your iPad.
Hey I'm looking into getting either an Ipad or surface pro. I noticed that you mentioned that if you have an ipad you would still need a laptop to take exams. With the surface pro would you still need a separte laptop?
No not at all. You would be fine with just a surface pro. It will be fine for examinations. If you can afford to, I’d still recommend getting an ipad too though. You got applications like notability that really make organization and dictation of your notes really really natural and effortless. Also being able to airdrop/iMessage files with your classmates is great. But if you can only do one, then a surface book is the way to go. You can still dictate your lectures and notes with OneNote.

Why do med students often go for the ipad pro ? Why not the ipad air , especially if you already have a laptop too? Im considering getting a tablet but already have a laptop ...what do you recommend?
Hey this is a great question. actually back when we started out term 1, the only ipads with Pencil support was called the PRO. now that apple has made the cheaper devices compatible with the Pencil, it honestly doesnt make a difference. even the new 10.2' ipad 2019 (the one that costs about 325$) has pencil support and that would work fine. just make sure you get a decent size screen that you are personally comfortable with when splitscreening, so you can have 2 documents (or 1 video and 1 document) side by side. that will help.

good question. honestly i have made it through 2 years now and i even video edit on my ipad and everything. i bought the 256gb version... and i still have 100gb free. haha but i am still glad i have the bigger size capacity so that i dont have to worry at all about storage. if you are just using it for books and med apps, you should be just fine with one size capacity smaller..

That one has pencil support. And also smart connector for they keyboard if you ever want to get that in the future. But your first accessory purchase definitely should be just the pencil for now
Thank you Sean for your replies, I am about getting the iPad Air 2 at a rate of $220. I don't think I can raise $329 for now. But if I have to get the iPad Air 2, I want to be certain it can do a lot of necessity needed in my program and especially notability. So I could write and mark out words in my slides
merrilyn gabriel hey. You should be fine then. As long as it has the Apple Pencil support. There are no programs you’ll be using that will be too demanding on the machine anyway. So it will be fine. What storage size will you be going with? Is it 64gb?
Brandon Thomas hey man. for anything I needed to type I just used my laptop. That keyboard attachment is like an extra 150$. That’s overkill. Just grab the pencil. That’s the only thing you need. I never needed a keyboard. You can make do with just a pencil.
