This game really has everything. Awful teammates who flame the one guy who's doing well and the person on the other team who's talking shit and flashing mastery despite being just as bad.
@@basicsuccess9549 No it was working actually, but the guy's team tilted to losing, if they remained cool and helped instead of complaining, they could've won He could've carried the game, but he is learning yet..... I mean did you look at his combos? he straight ulted people with 70% hp at least twice, even then he went with a positive score and was by far the best player in the game. He just needs more practice.

This is literally me climbing out of bronze on my FIRST season. Now I'm doing promos to silver but I don't get why these idiots think they're SO good that they're more worried about bad someone else does over how bad they are doing. It's rare having a game wherever is on the same page smh
You have no idea how much this video in particular helped. It's so insanely hard to learn the game when 40 people in a row question your very sanity, but then Neace makes it clear they are stupid and you were right.
This client won lane, took down the only 2 towers in the whole team, was able to 1v2 jhin and tryndamere, had so much pressure they 4 manned him in bot, most kills in his team, and at the end they were spamming report garen even though they lost a 3v4 in their own jg. Absolutely disgusting bronze shit, good coaching tho
@@mademoiselleria1412 if you quit because of one bad game, you’ll never improve. Definitely don’t continue to play when you’re tilted, but don’t quit altogether. Your best friend is muting chat. Very rarely, if ever, will you need to communicate something to your teammate that you can’t with pings. I’ve been using chat as a morale booster for my teammates, and to succinctly express what I expect from them and want them to do. Sometimes it helps, most of the time it does not. Typing in coordination with pings helps solidify the pings, but it doesn’t impact it in a massive way. From what I have noticed. However, it can save someone’s mental if you make a good play and offer them words of encouragement; it stops them from trying to run it down. It doesn’t turn them into a better player, unfortunately.
Neace demonstrates a godly level of patience here. It was difficult watching this Garen (granted it was his first time) but for Neace to come out of that with so many positive things to say is really admirable. I've said it before and I'll say it again, he is a national treasure.
This was an absolutely amazing coaching session. Felt like an episode out of a TV show with the amount of tension and drama. This would definitely be one of my most fun games if I was in his shoes, even with toxic teammates. I think he actually enjoyed that game. Oh and 10/10 client, despite his hesitation, he kept trying to go in where he was unconfident, and I think he learned a general idea of where his limits are. Looking forward to see another one with him just to know how far he’s come.
@@mmorkinism I only open chat in normals cuz I really don't care, but even then I realize how toxic people can be. I went 75% wr in jg for over 40 games after turning chat off . I still keep pings on tho
Just a thought: When you want to see tanked damage, always add the Mitigated Damage graph, to compare more precisely. Sometimes numbers seem iffy because the mitigation by items or abilities is massive.
I noticed this too. Garen's W can mitigate obscene amounts of damage. Sometimes Garen can even mitigate more damage than he actually took in the entire match.
I've played Garen Mid as a counter to Zed for a while. It always felt like a hard counter to Zed, but I never figured to play Garen against anyone else! It was just a pocket anti-assassin pick, since everyone in low elo plays assassins and does badly-done combos, so I punished them by being something they can't press R on and win instantly.
@@KurzedMetal i had different kind of problems, the most prominent being: - my mechanics are shit - I have been in the wrong role for my play style and mentality - I could not understand basic wave management but there are several others. Mechanics aside, that I can now at least cover using very simple champs, most of these have improved dramatically thanks to neace videos and I am climbing (even though having switched role there are several matchups I still have no idea of how to handle). I thought I already have been, but I will try to be even more clear, since your support teacher seems to have been missing quite a lot. I said I often meet the kind of apes shown in this video: arrogant and irritating fools that lose fights with the numerical advantage I create and then blame me for their incompetence for instance (but there are several other examples I could make). Until recently my playing was at their level, but now I end up most of my games with top gold income, vision score and positive kda, and often I can carry them despite their efforts to throw the game, but not every game/laning phase is winnable and it feels like shit to play with idiots that actively play to lose and then blame you for their shit
Biggest bronze team I've ever seen wow. He gets a pick when its a 2v1 Top and they get aced 3v4 and flame him. Pretty crazy how low the game IQ is on these players.

The graphs are deceiving because it looks like Vlad tanked for his team when in reality Vlad died more than twice as often and still barely out tanked Garen. The game was winnable with less hesitation and better combos but for someone who just picked Garen up I think he did very admirable.
@@bradleymoore2797 simple champs can still be played sub-optimally. If you can't reach d4 easily with simple champs, then usually means you're nowhere playing optimally with your skill champs neither
@@silentbovo1 Yes. If you can't reach the 2% of all lol players playerbase easily something is wrong with your mechanics and has nothing to do with macro knowledge. (ㆆ_ㆆ)
@@bradleymoore2797 Well thats the point of playing simple champs right? You play them so you can focus more on the macro. If you have shit macro, you will do worse with skill champs. I'm reinforcing the concept Neace stated in the video. So again, if you're not playing optimally with "simple champs", then you shouldnt be playing skill champs if you plan on climbing.

I absolutely love your content man. You had me cracking up so many times, yet I still walk away having learned a ton about the game. (And that's even after having watched so many other Garen games on your channel)
Jungle edition?! I'll do the 1500 likes by myself now!!!! Discovered this channel few weeks ago and now big fan, considering becoming a client. Really nice to see a mature guy, really deep, professional grasp of the game. I really enjoy watching the sessions here. As hard stuck silver, with probably most of my mistakes are on macro sides (and not playing the easy, dumb champs...) I could really use a knowing look at my games. All the well NEACE, hope to see more and more content from you!
Great call putting this guy on Garen to learn basic combos. He isn't quite able to do combos like attack resetting or queueing two abilities. There's no way he would have been able to play Zed effectively.
The first game i carried (only one so far, still a new player) was because i individually muted everything my team could use to communicate with me. Pre-tilted flamers claiming game loss at like 9 minutes, but strong mental and a bad enemy team let me get the job done.
That shoulder adjustment when he mentioned people don't even know how to sit properly. Lmao gotta love ergo!! I adjusted mine too after hearing that. Great vid!!

A great example of do Your best and keep improving despite other seeing You as a source of failure. Know what You are doing well and badly and then compensate but first You need the mind open to self critique like this guy and knowledge of finding the real source of problem instead of looking around for blame, excuses are damn easy to find but improvement requires hard work and this guy gets it. Great video!
For just picking up garen and being coached at the same time he played it amazingly well and prob the best coaching session I've seen in a while here. He should be proud of this
This helps me to understand how High ELO players get just so much farm its not that they miss less farm (they do miss less) but more than that its about how every second he is finding opportunities to find waves and he says to never skip a wave so he gets free farm that I and most people at my ELO miss
I’ve watched a few of NEACE vids and there’s this weird tension of wow he can be kind of “rude” but then I’m like well he’s right and this is a paying customer so he needs to fix the play as soon as possible which is the least rude thing to do lmao. Love this guy!
Every good trainer is like this, they are brutally honest and yell at you when doing stupid shit, but have your back when you need confidence or have a problem
This is a great video, very informative thanks! Could you possibly supply a list of champs like Garen that are both simple and effective? Possibly in every role.
@@syndrac6254 the one thing mid has over top is roam potential and easier access to dirty farming (stealing enemy camps) Though in turn toplane is better at soaking pressure qnd is under less constant threat from the enemy jungler
Just from watching your coaching vids I've improved so much! Sitting with a 70% winrate for brand mid with 40 games on him. Brand is a terror mid lane in low elo. 😂
to think that I used to be like his teammates, constantly blaming everyone else but not myself. damn, I'm gold now and aiming for plat this season. pretty pog.
@@cameronm6647 Short for "intentionally feeding", as in playing bad on purpose. While that's the originally meaning, it's generally used for people playing horrible, regardless of their intention.
What ELO do you think is ok to play difficult champions? I've been playing Garen since I started watching your videos, and while I like him, he's never going to be my main or anything. I'll play him until I reach plat (currently Gold 2), but do you think plat is enough? I main GP and I also play Volibear, Ornn, and Aatrox. This is still my secondary role, my primary is mid (Swain, Lux, Orianna, Azir).
ive seen ppl just take orders and fuck up but this guy literally is absorbing everything and truely learning you can kinda see him adapt alone in this video
Must be frustrating coaching EU because they have better ping to the game than they do to your voice connection, so they hear everything a moment after you actually say it.
Ekko is a good pick up below silver, talon is a good pick up at silver. These champs are good at all elos. He has a video He released a vid on champs to main in all elos released about a year ago.
"When you lose a teamfight you gotta look at the map for any survivors on your team and blame them for not being there. It doesn't matter if they were fighting 2 or 3 people elsewhere, they should have died with you. Why are they so selfish? REEEEEEE!!!" - some permastuck low elo player
One thing we all ignore, if you are >70 ping, don't use certain champs; no matter how hard you try, you will never be able to pull of a smooth combo as we see in the montage videos. It's not you being incapable, just that the ping doesn't allow you decent combos.
I'm a zed player and I can totally relate that to my games because it happens to me too. What he has done is what I try to do every game but unfortunately the team is running it down and hence playing other champs work, ultimately Picking zed would be situational.
It is super intense; I guess one way to ease the anxiety as a viewer or if you end up being the student/player being coached is to understand 1. Neace has only so much time to make the player know what decisions to make as literally the game changes from one second to the next and because of this he has to be very fast and aggressive with how he states commands because in the heat of the game, it is very easy to not pay attention to what he’s saying 2. The whole idea of him shouting commands in your ear is still super intense so another way I watch is by going in with the understanding that *I don’t know what I’m doing* Going in with this mindset allows me personally to let go of any idea/knowledge I think I have over the game to listen to what Neace is saying and just doing it, the results are shocking. By just doing exactly what he says or watching the player do exactly as he says you start to learn that he’s saying everything for a very clear reason and everything he’s saying pays off in spades if you can pull of the minor mechanics. Hope this kinda helps with the anxiety from the snappy and instant commands
What are some good champions to learn the game with? I am level 41 now and mostly been playing jungle but I don't really have a main champion who I can play well. I've also been trying different lanes so I'm not even sure yet if I want to main jungle.
@@Keurgui1 ....you can even tell neace noticed lol....the "uh hmm".."uh huh, ok"...his tone sounded slightly sarcastic and depressed like...hence why neace told him he doesn't want him being depressed. And u'll notice neace got him to feel better with the low key compliment about the 5 languages. His energy changed instantly. Just a small observation.
@@Alacrityness It may or may not bot have been a bitter pill to swallow but that’s far from “his ego was destroyed” we can only make inferences on how he internalizes it but to me it looked like he totally understood
Question: at 11:48, when the jungler visits mid lane to find a crashing wave - assuming the lanestate is the same, is it better for the jungler to let the wave crash into tower, or to hold the minions until your wave arrives?
I really the "report" mentality a lot of players have. I am a fairly new player, about 3 weeks in, and the amount of games where I'm getting ? pinged or getting told I'll be reported is insane.
I'm sure I'm wrong about this in some capacity but why build bramble on garen he cant make full use of thornmail is mortal reminder not the more gold efficient item on him?
I messed this up. I started with, and am still on Fiora. I this point I think I just need to keep going because I have played the hundreds of games to actually play Fiora, but it took an obscene amount of time. Like legit a year.
Not flaming or anything, but my man was having difficulties with garen combos and he was a zed onetrick. This is every zed in my team. Also, this shows how hard it actually is to escape low elo nowadays. There is literally a challenger coach guiding you, and mr bronze vlad player, hardstuck since season 6 refuses to play like a human being
Garen : has well over 50% kill participation Vladimir: “garen is on shrooms istg” Morgana: “Garens a bot ” Tristana: “report garen” Tryndamere “REEEEEEE PROO BOY GO SKREEEEE EEEEEZZZEEEE”
