I have a 2017 300s AWD and I've given rides to around 700 people and I would say probably over 90% of the people have verbally told me how much they liked the look, ride quality and overall comfort of my car. Probably around half of them comment on how quick it feels and, given that I've added a few personalized touches to it, probably a quarter of them have asked me if it was either a HEMI or the SRT model. Numerous people have told me that they now want to get a 300 because how much they liked mine. The point is, this vehicle surprises people, mostly because of ignorance and peoples unfamiliarity with the modern Chrysler brand. There is unfortunately a stigma with Chrysler that car snobs a d-bags bring up to try and bag on someone's ride. Fact is, the 3.6 Pentastar is literally an award winning engine and so reliable that it is in everything from Challengers, to Jeeps and even RAM pickups. As @Ignite Light said in another comment, it's hard to find a vehicle with the same qualities and styling of the 300 at a decent price. Also, no one looks at a Camry or Avalon and is like, "oh wow that's a sexy ride."
Beautiful summary. The pentistar is an amazing motor that easily moves the big vehicle along and provides great power off the line or overtaking. I'm a huge fan. And I've NEVER seen a rusty 300.
@@IgniteLightwell my 300 has lil rust but its cuz the guys at the body shop messed it up, now i have rust bubbles that are beginning to pop. Im probably gonna end up fixing that up here soon.
The 300 is a fine ass ride! I hope Chrysler will continue to build this nice sedan beyond the 2022 model year. As for the panoramic sunroof, the auto industry should consider including a rain-sensing monitor to automatically close the sunroof once any moisture is detected.
I've looked at the 300 for a while. And since it's dry but what it can have is going away, I imagine these will become valuable in the future with the hemis. Ive gone over to the website and customized it many times to my imaginary configuration and it gets harder because every year they take away more stuff. But I ultimately have it with the hemi in destroyer grey with red leather and fully loaded
I've had a 2011 Chrysler 300C since it was new, and I now have a 2024 Chrysler 300 Touring L on order. So, I'm really happy with this Chrysler model, and I look forward to many more years of driving pleasure.
I have a 2012 300. 215K miles on it and still going strong. I love the car, runs like it was new and looks great. average 24MPG and hauls my big ole butt around in style. It has been one of the best, most reliable cars I have ever owned. Does not have all the bells and whistles yours does but it does me solid... and will not let me lock the keys in the car! When brought it home my kids asked me if I was dealing crack or Hoe's out of that car. I just smiled and said "YEP"!
The 3.6 is a great engine. I've got 180k on mine and it purrs. The previous owners didn't take all that good of care of it, but it seemed to hold up. Mine is a 2012, so a few things are different. For a big car it also handles pretty damn good. I recently went on a 3K mile trip with it and I got 33MPG! I was impressed with that.
I bought a 300 SRT 6 months ago and it is an amazing car!!! Here in a country with a cult following of Holden Commodores, my car turns heads every time. Enjoy your car and let negative comments put you off :)
Nice and honest. Sunroof alarm is genius! I actually broke my sunroof switch in my Charger after it was left open and rained overnight. I'd watch a review you do on anything else.
My brother bought a Dodge Charger and I started to do the same, until I saw the 300s ceramic grey. It’s definitely a beautiful car drives real nice, I get a lot of compliments on it.
That Ceramic gray for Chrysler or destroyer gray for Dodge between I think 2017 to 2019 20 BUT I have a color that only the 300 S trim ONLY for the 2014 called Dark Ceramic Gray looks blue is the rarest color because no other trim has it plus it has the Ambassador Blue leather interior i try to look all over for the Hemi with the Luxury package that a inite has but have the V6 panoramic roof RWD 20 With 245 45 20 Vogues super cool looking....Also theirs only 6 SRT8 with this color.TYPE 2014 Chrysler 300 SRT8 Ceramic Blue.
I have the exact same car,Black on Black.my wife gets so much compliments on the car.she works at a community college all the kids drool over the car,,don't forget the sound system it's pretty good
Love my Chrysler 300 Hemi comfortable, beautiful and all bells and whistles. The sound of that engine is just sweet. I start it in the garage with my window down just to hear it start. My second favorite is take the key out to leave the car and my seat moves back and steering wheel lifts up by self and when get back in they go back to the previous setting like having a valet.
Mine is the exact same as yours, with all the options and silver in color with black leather interior vented seats. I love this car, drives like a charm. On a good highway at 70 miles per hour it flies through the breeze and very little sound, it's like being on a cloud.
Just had a "misfire in cylinder 1". Thought it was a coil or plug, it was a rocker arm loose, however got a warranty and had it fixed for $100. Would have cost me about $1200! Mechanic said this is extremely rare and was so mild they had a hard time identifying it. Absolutely love my 300s!👍👍
I'm currently in the process of getting a 2019 300s and was skeptical at first with how much I'll be paying for what I'll be getting in return but this really made me hop over the fence on the side on the 300s. Thank you!
I have a 2010 and everyone loves that car, especially girls give compliments. Looking to get something a little newer in the next year or so and I'll be going with another 300. I bought mine with 65k miles and it's around 180k now. Been driven all over the country, no issues what so ever...
I have a 2016 300c which is still pretty loaded. At night when the higher cars behind you are blinding you with their lights you can use the sunshade as a light blocker. Just something I found useful, other than that I don't really use the screen that much either but it really helps block out other drivers headlights.
My 300 had the rear screen too, goes down when you go into reverse, back up in drive or park..was told it’s a “privacy” screen..In so California, I use it to help keep damaging uv off the interior…along with tint

I have the 2014 300S and although the warnings don't really bother me too much I'm amazed sometimes at what it DOESN'T warn me about. For example I just realized last night that one of my headlights is out, for how long I have no idea. I would have thought that would be something it would want to tell me! It tells me when a tire is like 2 lbs. low or if I need to change my oil. But overall I have been very happy with this car, probably the best car I've ever owned
I have a white 2013 300s Glacier Edition awd and I love it. I like the awd because I live in New England. The v6 is plenty powerful enough for me at 300hp. 6.whatever seconds 0-60 is good enough for me.
Been a Chrysler 300 owner since 2000. About to purchase my 5th in a few days. I absolutely love the car obviously, however there are definitely some changes that could be made to keep this car selling and relevant for more years to come. Great video and points.
Is it good that you bought 5 or you just like keeping your cars up to date? I was just wondering because so many people say chryslers are unreliable. And I eventually want to one day rebuild one.
@@eronic404 I owed a 2000M, 2005 C with a Hemi that I bought in 2006. Then a brand new 2012S, which I still have with over 200k miles in emmaculate condition. Earlier this year I bought a 2017S with 61k miles which I just traded for a fully loaded 2020S with 4k. I've never owned one that wasn't reliable. Maybe I've been fortunately but I've loved every one I've owned
@@eronic404 I've not heard of any reliability issues on the 300s. I'm 65k miles in now and have not ran into anything. Nor have I heard of issues from other drivers in the 300 community. You shouldn't worry about reliability with them.
I wish they had a light colour interior or dual tone interior to lift the interior environment, puddle lamps, and some accent lighting on the dash. Also, the rear shade is an under-appreciated feature. It does come to use when you have a rear facing child seat and you want the child to sleep, but the sun is at the back. For a V6, it does give good economy numbers, especially for highway.
Awesome car, like your attitude, you don't let other people's negative comments deter your enjoyment of this vehicle, that's their opinion...very cool car! 😎👍
Enjoyed your video. Just got my new 2022 300S this summer and love it! This is my 4th Chrysler 300. Love the vented seats. The rear sunshade comes in very handy with our Las Vegas blistering hot summers - anything to protect us from the the sun. Haven’t been able to enjoy the sunroof yet until it gets a little cooler here. Best car ever! This one’s going to have to last awhile since they’re going to stop making them after 2023.
Very cool headlights! I have a 2017 300s.... Wish I had the sunroof & AWD cause I'm in Windsor Ontario Canada ut I just go oldschool and but bricks in the trunk lol.... I gr all kinds of compliments also... Mines all blacked out.. The paint is black and blacked out the rims with plasti dip and also the emblems.. Only chrome left are the exhaust tips & 300s logo... Dark tint all the way around and the sun strip on the front windshield... Keep it up great car!! Also has the Beats speakers but added a 12 sub for an extra punch lol...
she's got a 2014 Dodge Dart and I've got a 2015 Buick Enclave, both have sunroof, totally agree they should have warning chime that sunroof is vented or open when exiting the car!
Very nice I have the 2012 and it's full of options it's the limited edition with leather seats it's an awesome riding car and has the V6 292 horsepower rear wheel drive Chrome rims 18" wheels what else more what you want it is awesome and it's black thank you for the video💖
@@IgniteLight i changed all the dash panels, the door lights that project to the ground changed them to the one that say Chrysler 300, setup the wireless Apple CarPlay, changed the seats from cloth to leather.
T T I have a 2016 300c Velvet Red AWD have received many positive comments. It's a shame that It is not promoted. Many people have stated they did not know it was still being manufactured but they loved the look as well as the features I show them. Chrysler could sell more if they promoted it. I had a neighbor who has a new Buick but would have bought the Chrysler 300C just because it looks rich and classic. I have been a Mopar fan owning many of there cars. I had a 1964 Chrysler 300 that was a metallic red almost like this car with bucket seats. This 300C has so many features AND COMFORTS. I don't consider the info I get as warnings but as notifying me what I need to do and remind me. Never had a problem with the sun roof but it would be nice feature if the car senses rain it would close it self-just like auto wipers!!
I've put 45k of the 57k on mine in just 2 years. I'm a huge fan and it has been perfectly reliable. While I wouldn't call the V6 fast, it is quick enough to have fun in!
I’ve own two 300’s a 2007 and 2012 love them both I still have the 2012 it is a great car for me have drove all over the country looking to upgrade to the 300S
I have a 06 charger rt fully loaded. Theres not much difference since 06 till now. A screen on the dash a bigger sunroof but 1 thing id like to have is the turning headlights. Those help a ton going around interstate ramps. I cuss all the time bc i cant see going 45 mph in a 360 about to enter traffic my lights shine across the fields
Had rear shade on my Mercedes e430 4m. It was so nice to use when you had a bloody moron behind you with highbeams on and wouldnt turn them off. I had my car tinted really dark but some new cars highbeams are just so bright it will shine thru alot. So at those times the shade helps alot! Also pre tinted car it helped with keeping the car cooler.
I really enjoyed seeing someone else enjoy the 300S. The rear is a problem because it slopes in. Otherwise, I feel the same way. Voice commands are an issue.
My GL450 gave a warning my wife was coming! Left the sunroof open and we had torrential downpours for about 5 minutes. Never could get the stains out of the headliner.
I agree with your comment on the sunroof warning but to swing a good idea that all cars with sunroofs should have is you turn off the car get out and forget to close it it closes itself automatically like how lights will when you open doors sometimes but big fan of your Chrysler man saving up for one myself always been a dream car to me but appreciate the video and I’ll definitely subscribe to you
I just bought a 2018 300c.. It's the fully loaded model for 2018 with the 19 speakers and 5.7. One owner and 78k miles on it. I love it! Origins MSRP was 51K got it for 23k out the door.
Thats great. 1 year ago I got a decently optioned, but not fully loaded, 2018 sport with the hemi. Previously wrecked, 85k miles for 26k out the door. Glad prices are returning to crazy.. down from absolutely insane.
I just gave my 2006 Chrysler 300 to my son who is getting his license. I just bought a used 2016 300s for myself. I love these cars. Both have all wheel drive.
I have a 2015 300C with the hemi. I am surprised you like the 300S so much with the 3.6. It is tuned a little better than the standard 3.6 but I would be disappointed if I did not have the hemi. I like all the warnings but you are right about the panoramic roof. I never use it but then I don't ever open any of the other windows either. I also have a 2006 honda ridgeline with a center panel rear window that opens. If you leave it open upon exiting the truck, you get a warning!! Anyway, I enjoyed your video and you were spot on with most of your analysis of the vehicle.
Aside from the hemi, cooled/heated cup holder, or awd...mine has every other option. I search for about 8 months for a hemi with the same combo but one never came up. The tipping point for me was learning that the 3.6 with the 8speed auto was just as fast in the 1/4 mile as the hemi with the 5speed auto... no joke look it up! Weird! I also have a cammed Trans Am for days I'd like to drive more spirited! Haha
he V6 still hits 60 in barely over 6 seconds, and sport mode largely addresses its issue with moving up gears too quickly in some passing situations. It's not going to give you the insane torque offered by the Hemi, but it's a quick and very enjoyable drive.
@@IgniteLight I have a 2014 300 C JVL (john varvatos limited edition)5.7 AWD ,paddle shifters and auto stick , pano roof heated and cooled seats , heated back seats , h/c cup holders ,rear screen shade all the bells and whistles , Sport mode. if you put the wipers on , the outside temp in under 39 it automatically engages the awd (sport mode) you can engage sport mode from a button or from the uconnect features. if you are not in sport mode. it is a RWD feel vehicle. The triple Phamtom black paint is a stunner in the sunlight. all the platinum accents give it a unique look along with the smoked out taillights. i wish it had the 8 instead of the 5 speed. other than that is a great vehicle that still turns heads. only 2000 were made in 2014. not all with my set up but with the JVL nameplate
@@IgniteLight ah I just got a 2014 which only had 36,937 miles on it. Some of the things you have in the 2018 I don’t have in my 2014- but still love riding in her.. I call her “The Ghost”..
2006 300c hemi, under 100,000 miles kinda just broke in and its fast, and it's perfect for me cause I just have this need for speed, kinda drive it like you stole it. Mine has the Bentley grill. They should make cooling seats like they have heated seats.
My Cadillac xts has those annoying warning lights as well, hate it, especially when I turn the car on: Stabilitrak warning and TPMS come up and i have to press “ok” to take em off. Basically everything this Chrysler has.
Very well, imo. The traction control works nicely and I've never been stranded at a stop sign spinning my tires. The rear will hang out, but it is predictable and only happens if you intended it to do so or are driving outside of the roads/weathers limits. I've not had it for any deep snow but that is rare in Indy. Usually the inbound commute will have a few inches and the roads are pretty clear for the afternoon drive home. The rwd 300 handles it easily.
Ever ride with the psi down on tires. I have the same Black 1. It's super hard to keep that black clean.... I ride michelin crossclimate 2 for tires btw. Amazing all seasons. I do 34 psi.
If I go below ~40 PSI on my tires I can visually notice my tires cupping where the tread meets the asphalt. Check out our video where I ceramic coat the 300S. I'll be putting out an update on the ceramic coating soon... but I love it. Holds the cleanliness much longer.
@@IgniteLight for sure will. Been needing to do something different. Just switched soaps to chemical guy honey dew. Seems to do the trick. If you have any product suggestions that would be amazing. Be well.
Al Gore's rhythm must like you, this vid came up in my feed. Of course in part because I have a Chrysler 300. Mine is a '14 Hemi AWD JVLE with every option available. This however means I don't have the rear sunshade. I have the Harmon Kardon sound system that puts speakers where the sunshade mechanism would go. Also less techy in '14 so less warnings, and I'm sure some of those you can turn off. I was able to turn a handful off in my car.
Been deciding on buying a 2016 300c took it for a test drive phenomenal overall just a little jerk when shifting 130k miles very well taken care of should I buy?
I'm a big fan of US cars in general & like the styling of the whole Chrysler group. What detered me from buying one this time was the reliability. Last Chrysler car I had was a 2006 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 & I religiously maintain my cars & don't drive hard. I couldn't spend a month with that car without having some issue somewhere. Finally gave up & sold it. I'm switching to Fords for the time being
I hope your Fords treat you well. Aside from styling, one of the main reasons I bought the 300s was for the reliability. I've never seen one with rust and the 3.6 pentastar engines paired with the 8speed are dead reliable.
@@IgniteLight I drove the sport one and I love it I have the limited one as 4 cylinders with 9 speeds transmission still love it one of the reason I ll get the 300 s
I had a '11 300C 5.7 Hemi. Great and comfortable car lasted 200K miles but the engine crapped out due to the cylinder #4 (deactivation cylinder) failed. It should've lasted 400K miles easy but would never buy again especially the Hemi.
The 300 looks better than any other Dodge product with the single exception of the Challengers. Chrysler isn't putting enough of these different trims in the American Market.
The 13s are awesome machines. I'm not sure what year the Hemi engines were backed by the 8 speed transmission but I would try for that. The 8 speed is much much better than the 5 speed. Better mpgs and quicker
My issue is the fact you can't turn off the dash lights completely, I sit in the car to listen to the radio and those doggone lights will not go off. Aggravating.
This is how I thought about it. If I bought a Charger I would want the 392 scat pack. Then I would spend more cash on go fast and appearance parts. If I bought a 300, I would be just fine with the V6, no additional go fast parts, and the appearance is on point already. It made the decision easier for me, and I hope it helps you too.
