Everyone should have a 3D printer, but along with the printer, you need basic CAD skills. Last night, I printed tray roller replacements for my dishwasher out of ASA but again you need a basic understanding of CAD to make some things and even if McMaster-Carr has the step files for a specific part number it doesn't mean it was drawn to be end product and often drew in the tolerances they needed to compensate for the manufacturing process they had planned.
@@Guardian_Arias It's definitely an acquired skill! Luckily having things you need to make allows you to learn easy, since you have an idea of what the end product should look like. 😅
@@marklucas3140 I saw that too lol. He's probably been working on that video for quite a while, but sure is weird that two Matt's make a video on the same subject! But his is a lot higher quality, so it is what it is!
@@NecromancerGarage Never heard of High Temp PETG but i can confirm PETG isnt good enough for a car interior. Bambu has a HF PETG maybe thats what this is? still ABS/ASA only for cars you can also use Nylon for the engine bay but in the ten years of making car parts PETG doesn last in a 140f car interior. Its unfortunate and PETG is probably my favorite material to print with.
