Does anyone that has this have issues with moisture? I have to drain the oil tank every two weeks (not the air, the oil). I'm really not enjoying this, I'm worried the water oil mixture will reduce it's lifespan. My old ingersoll piston was maintenance free for 34 years; so this isn't a good start for me. Not enjoying it enough to compensate for reduced noise.
Yes I have that issue as well. I've had this unit for 10 months and having major problems. It took them over a week to call me back to diagnose the issues. They are sending parts which I hope fixes it. I will fix it and sell it and buy something else. I do not recommend this compressor.
We recommend changing these yearly. In the past we have suggested longer intervals for some of these, but found that three years is too long between intervals.
Understood, but I probably use less than 20 hours at home per year. I would still have to replace it, even if I used only 10-30 hours of service in a year? The reason why I want to know is because I am wondering if excessive or constant water accumulation in the oil tank is caused directly from delaying to change this filter? I really like this technology, but I am worried after seeing what other customers are going through.

It's capable of running a small shop, so much beefier than similarly sized competitor machines. AND it's sooo quiet. Currently 1,999 on our site: www.eastwood.com/eastwood-elite-qst-30-60-scroll-air-compressor-with-quiet-technology.html
so you use an insanely loud oilless type compressor which we all know is the worst there is. I don't know anyone who uses one of those in a shop. bring down the cost of these units and they'll fly off the shelves.
People complaining about the price must have never done any serious work, or are deaf. I'd happily pay an extra thousand to not be driven insane by noise.
