Would you believe that I forgot Goblins are a main tribe of mono red????.....I don't usually play Goblins and just kinda forgot they existed....FUTURE VIDEO IDEA
Mono red is probably the hardest color to build in commander imo. The color is naturally very impulsive and fast, win quick and win hard. This isn’t typically how casual EDH is played. Love splashing it in decks with other colors tho(: haste goes HARD
I wouldn't say it's hard, but it's more limited if that makes sense. There are good mono red commanders that can hang with a table. There just aren't as many as other colors. Once you pick one of them they are pretty straightforward on what they want to do in my experience. It's very hard to win consistently for sure. Mono red decks will leave an impact on a game even if it doesn't win it. I agree though, I always love having red in a multicolored deck.
I agree that splashing Red into my decks is where the color is best. I have tried to build mono Red before...it burns fast and bright but does tend to burn out if you dont win the game right away.
Great Video! I am running a mono-red helmed by Norin doing ETB shennagins/Goblins/Chaos Control style deck and saw some of my heavy hitters here. Chaos mages unite!
Red is so much fun. I have 5 different mono red decks that all use different cards and play completely differently from one another and I could probably make more.
Got back into magic and still love red , buildt a krenko mob boss goblin slam burn deck. Its fun and goes hard! But still have the red drawback off running out off steam , but its still fun to play
That was my biggest issue playing mono red. Quickly running out of cards and struggling to regain them. Mono red can be fun but it may just not be for me. I am glad you are getting back into the game and enjoying your Mono Red deck.
I was first introduced into mtg using the colour red, and now when I make a new commander deck (3 so far) I always make sure to include red in it. Idc what others say, red is my fav :D
other people: Mono red cant get mana! this man: *proceeds to go into 20 minute deep analysis of many different ways mono red can gain mana...and he didnt even mention all the well known mana rocks we were all expecting
@@Azoreign I have 8 of the Sword of __ and ___ cycle crammed in there for protection from almost every color, a lot of artifact and equipment support (whatever I could get in red), and then just pass on the jerk and let it ride.
i only really started trying to learn mtg in the last week or so just to try and play commander with some friends and ended up deciding on mono red dragons ft lathliss bc uhhhhh dragons cool :] it's been going great in test hands but i'm sure in practice i will Get Owned
That is awesome! Learning the game is the hardest part, but once you understand what is happening it is so fun! I hope you follow the channel to continue to learn and grow on your journey.
The rest of the video is fire, but... What? Mono white is the second best mono commander color after green. White is INSANELY strong. Red IS the worst mono color for commander (still totally able to be strong), but white is nowhere near it.
@@Azoreign There is a strong argument for the 2 spot, but blue can't compete with the ramp and stompies 1 on 1. Control just can't control like green can go insane.
