Believe me, you won't regret reading it, in fact I'd say it's my favorate Manga that I have read thus far, I dare say that I like even better than the (original) Negia Manga!!!!!! Just you know, Dark Horse have published it in English one or two times firstly in a series of smaller volumes and then more recently in series of 'omnibus' volumes (three books per volume) of which I own vols 1-6 (I've read the first 4 and I am now reading vol 5) with a vol 7 on it's way.
I knew nothing of Tezuka's Astro boy aside from it's name. I just read Urasawa's Pluto and Oh My God, I was blown away by how mature, thought-provoking and complex it is.
Well it came from the 60’s so it’s old and it looks more cartoony than like high detail epic stuff. I do like the art though it tell the story pretty well through the panels.
unpopular opinion coming up, i must say i do like the 2001 series and it's manga for it's designs and look, which in my humble opinion is better, espicially for Atlas and Pluto
