I've been loving this thing! i grip it so differently to you too which is one of the things i like about it - there's more than 1 way to grip it. I hold it almost all in the front. Great video MorTex
I'm gripping it the same way, I wish the sensor was even more forward placed. I can't use the thumb buttons very effectively unless I'm gripping it almost at the front, but with the sensor placement, I can aim a little bit better with my fingers a little farther back
Hopped in here to thank you for your service for recommending this mouse! Coming from a G305 and finally investing to a pure finger tip Been maining it for 2 months or so and it has been really good Unfortunately, my copy's switches became mushy for that short time period resulting to increased pre-travel so much that it affects click latency but I soldered in some good o'l Omrons and I'm a happy man Deserves a sub and more! Thanks!
Great to see more companies such as Keychron and Darmoshark focusing on such niche shapes rather than being M3K/HSK duopoly (or 3D prints). I am actually quite excited for the M5 due to their approach of flatter sides. MZ1 is an example where they try to appeal to a larger audience, it is one of my favorites because of the sides, width and button grooves but its simply too long and has obnoxious hump (unless you use the wireless version).
Great review with great insights! Love the sound effects too - nice production overall! Hadn't realized you didn't review this yet. Looking forward to more 👍
Wasn't mentioned in the review, but KC also lube their mice wheels from the factory too! I've not heard of anyone else doing this, so it's definitely a great positive to have. I noticed it was good out of the box, and thought it would be even better lubed so when I opened it up it was a nice surprise. Excellent review, doesn't even need latency testing as with the sensor and MCU you can't really blame the mouse for bad pew pews. KC also released a firmware update for the M4 which halved the latency for mouse movements too, but it was already so low before the update I didn't even notice it, but free latency improvement is free :)
My favorite thing to do with rechargeable mice is to stick a magnetic cable on, that allows you to quickly snap in and unsnap as fast as you can. it would add a micro amount of weight but it's probably negligible.
thanks for covering the different fingertip grip styles: i.e. forward, mid, back fingertip grips. and also the difference in whether some people keep their pinky and ring fingers together or apart. my holding style is very similar to yours, so if the grip is satisfying enough for you then it likely will be for me.
I have watched through thousands and thousands of mouse review and you are the only person has the same far back fingertip grip and same finger placement as me. I have instantly bought the mouse and subscribe to you after watching this review.
I was expecting to hate the scroll wheel on this mouse when I got it as an Apex player yet surprisingly it doesn't fall short at all when using the scroll wheel for Tap Strafing and B-Hopping. Definitely going to be my main mouse for awhile until i get another mouse this size.
Razer Viper Mini was my go to mouse because of the hourglass-kind of shape. I am waiting for my m4 to be delivered next week and I am really curious about it. I hope it becomes my new favorite because I love lightweight mice. 35 grams just sounds so sexy to me.
Great video Mortex 🔥 Like we’ve been saying on Twitter/X, great little mouse. I’ve kept mine stock so far but 100% agree with the skates. My dots have been in the post for sometime now. Think I’m getting trolled by the delivery service 😅 Might try out your suggested mods and might get a second one for office use only
Nice video! I didn't think about removing the sticker for room for dot skates, I will have to do that as three isn't enough. I swapped the clicks and scroll wheel on my unit to ttc gold, I like the the harsh steps the ttc gold encoder has. Overall, I really like the m4. I bought it on a whim and didn't know if I would care for the shape, turns out I like the curves.
I was actually having trouble with the Mouse losing pairing to the 4k Dongle because of the shitty stock cable during gameplay, forcing a restart of the mouse or replugging of the dongle. Switched the dongle over to my Lamzu cable and now 0 issues.
I bought the M4 but regret it now. I use an identical grip with extended ring and pinky along the right side, but the grip is so narrow that you have to squeeze your palm together to hold it tight cramping your hand, and when pressed into the mouse pad this way, losing blood flow. Quite uncomfortable. My ring finger also locks out straight which doesn't feel nice in the knuckle joint. I've realised the normal sized mouse with a higher side edge I used before kept my ring finger bent slightly avoiding the lockout. Tried adding silicone ergo stickers to it etc but they feel lumpy and unnatural so in the end gave up and bought a regular mini size mouse.
@@dmw3358 yeah it’s a very narrow mouse. Sorry it didn’t fit you, I tried to make it clear that it’s not for everyone and some hands might struggle. My hand is 9,5cm wide.
bought this INSTANTLY it restocked and I LOVE IT 😆❤️ you definitely need to use a different cable tho for that stability and cuz mine was straight up BROKEN lol so yeah, i need keychron to reply to me after that fiasco. other than that, I LOVE IT and can't wait to mod this to fit me perfectly! F those other overpriced mice 😆
oh and do you have a video on how you opened this? it looks like it only has 1 super tiny screw so im kinda hesitant on how to pop this tiny thing open@@MorrTex
Nice review, idk if this is worth a try to get further into ftip. Since i bought the m3k (sadly ill get it in June) because i was really interested in trying it. Im currently on ulx medium and in some games i started playing and liking ftip. sry für bad Englisch
I ordered it using your discount code, finally there is also a de version of their site, when I ordered a keyboard from them from the global site, €20/30 shipping was a bit too much. I started my adventure in true-fingertip grip with the zeromouse, and I'm having a lot of fun even if you have to warm up more than usual to perform at my best, this December I booked an M3K but it will arrive in like May, so in the meantime to break up why Don't try some true fingertip grip mouse from birth?
Enjoy man, it's banger mouse for the price and super unique for sure. Takes some time to find your right grip but after that its insane imo depending on your handsize
Yo, do the pulsar x2 a (ambidextrous one). It would be very interesting because you ususally dont use side buttons and this mouse actually has side buttons on the right.
Am i seeing correctly that you're using left-handed? Do you have a another video where you describe and show how you play that way? I'm at the moment considering to switch to my left hand too since (for some reason) my movement feels significantly more natural??? Although i am still beyond terrible and move like a potato, but gaming feels slightly more fun? I even got one kill with a pistol in BF1 in the first day. Not much but a beginning nonetheless. I'm dominantly right handed and have used to game that way all my life. I feel like my left hand was more relaxed in a sense because how detached it feels (?) but my right hand on the keyboard gives me cramps really really quick though.
Hey, I've been wondering lately. If the internal clock of the computer , runs 1000 hz per second (as standard) , what then measures and controls these gadgets with more refreshments per second ? Aren't those 4000 hz in mice a simple multiplier by any chance ? Markenting ploy to extract more money ?
What do you mean by internal clock? I have never heard that in regards to higher polling rate mice. 4000hz is not a marketing ploy to extract more money. It has a real benefit for people that use 240hz refresh rate monitors or more. dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/3472749.3474783 here is a study about this topic how perceivable jitter is reduced when using higher refresh rates in conjunction with higher mouse polling rates. People that say higher polling rates don't make a difference are people that either have bad reaction time, no high refresh rate 240hz+ monitor or are not good at video games in general.
Was laberst du?
The amount of jitter had no signifcant efect on the pointing task performance. Damn... if i knew your channel earlier i would have used your code. Nonetheless it's a great fingertip mouse. Feels much better in hand then the hsk pro thanks to the curved sides. There are three things that bothers me tho. Side button placement: Only 1 side button is kind of reachable but that will affect your aim stability. I'm starting think it's a general fingertip grip flaw. Stock skates: They are alright but my skypad doesn't like them at all. It is and feels extremely scratchy i had to use my lgg venus instead. I would love get some obsidian dots but they are out of stock everywhere :(( Middle button: Either my middle finger is too weak, or the middle button is just too hard to press. After all it's a great Mouse! Top Sensor, Top shape, Top weight, Top price and a really good battery life. Currently my main! I really miss my Skypad :`)
Look for ultraglide dots control on aliexpress. They are also red and are the same as obsidian dots. 80x dots cost like 10 euro. They are the same that I use
My example of the M4 4K also has really stiff/hard scroll click. Have to use norr force than I like to be able to click it. Would be interesting to hear how hard everyone elses scroll click are?
